We hired Mike and team to paint our newly purchased condo unit. They did a great job. The quality of their work is very good and the site was left clean and neat after the painting. We are very satisfied with their work.

We hired Mike and team to paint several window and door trims as well as our family room and kitchen (which had some areas that were hard to reach). They did a great job, and were friendly and efficient. We'd happily work with them again.

After having a lot of trouble getting a consistent finish painting the ceiling, I decided to call Mike. He did an excellent job, and ensured that every little detail was covered. I was so impressed with the work that he did that I hired him to paint the walls on my second floor as well. In both instances, Mike left my house cleaner than when he arrived and ensured that I was happy with the results. I will be sure to hire Mike for any future paint jobs that I need done.

We just finished a major house renovation and Mike Hobson and his team looked after all of our painting needs. This included painting the full main floor, most of the upstairs, closets, ceilings and a difficult-to-reach skylight area. Mike came highly recommended to us by friends and neighbours in the community. Mike was a very professional painter from beginning to end and a pleasure to work with. He listened carefully to what we wanted and paid close attention to small details. Mike has great pride in his work leading to very high standards, ie. his finished work is absolutely top-notch. Mike is good-natured and easy to talk to, and he worked well with our contractor, flooring company, etc. His team were also a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Room-At-A-Time to anyone who wants a top quality paint job by an experienced painter and team. We will definitely be asking Mike to look after all of our future painting jobs for us.

I hired Room at a Time from Homestars. Initially everything was great, they came in and did a great job on our kitchen, which was half the work, They had started doing some minor plaster work in preparation for our ceiling, then they stopped showing up completely. I reached out a couple of times to see what was going on, but no response. I heard through one of my other contractors who was doing work in the house that they had run into some staff issues, so I offered to be flexible on the timing of the job, but it did not really help. Anyway, this was disappointing and I will chalk it up to them having some internal issues, but it was unfortunate that he never got back to me when I did try to follow up. EDIT/ Just noticed this response and wanted to add that: - I contacted you at least twice by e-mail, and additional attempts by phone, to no response after you decided to vanish - We had discussed the extra work at length and I was quite willing to compensate for the additional time - The plastering was not sanded and not finished, also not done properly, as it corners require tape - Pretty disappointed that you would post my name in a masked site, inappropriate Lesson learned: I will make sure to hire Homestars contractors whose ratings are driven mostly by reviewers with more than 1 review in future.

My house had not been properly painted in a few years so this was not a "small" job and required a lot of prep work. Mike and his crew were professional, punctual, detail oriented, trustworthy and cleaned up the job site each and every day they worked. Any questions during the project were promptly answered.
