The people at Royal Decks have restored our faith in contractors after a year of nightmare renovation. They have been amazingly effecient, they take pride in the work they do, they have been very professional and polite. They didn't hesitate to go out of their way in our dog escapade. Without them, we would still be chasing her in the neighborhood. People at Royal Deck Truly Care, thumbs up for a great team.

We had Royal Decks design and construct a gorgeous 2nd storey two-level deck in our backyard. Having completed several major renos between both of our last two houses over the past few years, we have worked we numerous contractors, pool builders, etc. In my experience, contractors are frequently responsive at first and then less so when you've already paid them most of the money. Not so with Miro and his crew. They have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their service, design, and final product were all top notch. This is the first time I have worked with a contractor and have had no complaints whatsoever. The deck is gorgeous, with careful attention paid to each part of the construction process. I found them to be reasonably priced and extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. They were also flexible and were able to meet all our needs (including ensuring that the deck was safe for children and for a large hot tub - requiring extra supports - they brought in a structural engineer to help with this). They were punctual and on time throughout the project. Their quality is top notch across the board. So far we have had no need for follow up but anticipate that Miro and his team will be very responsive if anything should come up. I highly recommend - without any reservation whatsoever - using Royal Decks if you're looking to put in a deck in the GTA.

20/10! Initially I wanted to get a few quotes before proceeding with replacing a 50+ year old upper deck for a rental unit, but met with Julian, the designer of Royal Decks and was so impressed by his knowledge, honesty and professionalism that I felt this was the right company to do the job. The team were polite and considerate, and Julian always kept me updated on the progress of the deck, which I appreciated greatly. The new upper deck with pergola that they constructed is beautiful. The team were so efficient and cleaned up the site and left it very neat and tidy for my tenant. Overall, Royal Decks surpassed my expectations in every way and I will definitely use them again for future projects. Excellent job!

They built our deck just over two years ago. They've serviced our deck whenever it needed servicing. Our experience during construction was excellent. Their contracting staff always showed up when promised. The finished product matched the prior agreed-to description. They cleaned up before they left. Two minor problems arose over two years (rising deck board) - both times they came out immediately and fixed that problem (no charge). The deck was a high price (18k) because we used the best materials (composite decking boards) - so no ongoing painting and repairs. Our deck will probably last (and look great) for fifty years or more. The composite decking boards was their suggestion - we're glad we followed their suggestion. They are a highly professional and highly reliable company. Plus, they have an office and a land-line phone, so you know they won't just take your deposit and disappear (like so many unreliable cell-phone based contractors we've used before). We recommend Royal Decks to our friends and family without hesitation. Their work quality is excellent, and they have an excellent and professional attitude. Beautiful hardwood deck in Kabu-Batu. Julian did an amazing job of designing it, and was extremely collaborative in finalizing a design that worked for our lifestyle and the layout. Steve, our builder, was a real master of his trade. His attention to detail and thoroughness left us confident that our project was in skilled hands. Every time Steve hit a major point in the build, he'd bring us out, and walk us through the details. That really helped us to visualize the design coming to life, and gave us the ability to make small modifications as required. We are absolutely thrilled with our beautiful backyard oasis - it's the envy of the neighbourhood! Thanks Steve and Julian!

Royal Decks constructed a beautiful elevated deck in our back yard. It was truly a pleasure to deal with Miro. We found him to be highly professional, very patient with all our questions and extremely thorough. His carpenters are superb. They were very polite and pleasant to have around for the week when construction was taking place. Their workmanship was outstanding and their final cleanup of the site was excellent. The end result exceeded our expectation. Royal Decks are the best and we highly recommend them to anyone who wants a premium quality end result that any homeowner would be very proud of.

From the time we met with Julian to discuss what we needed to changing the design which was met with good humour and courtesy, to watching our deck and pergola take shape day after day, we received great customer service and professional care. The carpenters Mike and Andrew, who have great professional skills and cheerful attitudes, went above and beyond to take great care with building our new deck and pergola, and also came up with wonderful suggestions and solutions to our design. Miro, the owner, is a fair and honest contractor. He resolved a minor issue with the steps going down to the garden area quickly and competently. Royal Decks focuses on doing a great job on time and on budget and we give them our highest recommendation.

We contacted Royal Decks based on their positive Homestars ranking and reviews. Miro, the President and owner, was a pleasure to deal with; he has a friendly disposition and a straightforward style. Miro listened to what we were envisioning for the project and provided helpful suggestions in a respectful manner. His quote was competitive (we had two others) and he showed patience and professionalism during the negotiation process. The build crew, Jesse and Dustin, were polite and hardworking guys that showed up promptly each morning, got right to work and put in long days nose to the grind. They are excellent carpenters so the quality of the workmanship was top notch. They also did a few helpful things for us that went above and beyond the scope. We ordered aluminum rails with glass inserts, which came from a separate contractor, who did nice work considering the tight deadline they were under (we needed the deck done in time for a b-day party). There were some minor aesthetic issues that had to be corrected (as there are with any big job) but Miro dealt with these requests promptly and we are extremely happy with the new deck - we’ve received many compliments. In short Miro and his team are honest professionals that more than deliver on their commitments – exactly what you want from a contractor. Based on our experience, Royal Decks definitely gets our recommendation!

From Jane and Craig When our existing 30’x12’ cedar deck began to show signs of severe “old age” we began to search for a reputable company to replace it. We had settled on the idea of a composite deck with cedar railings and privacy wall. We took our ideas to several contractors and eventually settled on Royal Decks, Mississauga for several reasons: 1. Miro Simecek, the owner, is a civil engineer. His deck concept was not only beautiful but also structurally sound in all respects 2. He provided a very comprehensive design package, not just a couple of 2-D drawings but full 3-D renderings that allowed my wife and I to completely visualize the deck 3. He also provided a highly detailed quotation to us, allowing us to trade off a complete cedar deck against a hybrid of composite and cedar (which we eventually chose) 4. Miro never tried to over-sell us. Rather he worked with us to stay within our budget 5. Miro provided a VERY competitive quote package – right in our sweet spot! When work commenced on the deck, Miro and team were in constant communication with us, as they worked around spring rains to get started. Steve, the master carpenter and his site crew were fantastic. All work was completed as if they were building a deck for themselves and the finished product is absolutely beautiful. We chose (based on Miro’s recommendations) a PVC decking product. The main deck is a light “brownstone”. Miro suggested this as a good choice as it doesn’t get hot in the sun. To break up the deck and to add decorative features, he used a Redwood colour for trim and feature strips. The finished product looks incredible and has surpassed our expectations. The crew was spotless in their work and left my back yard cleaner than they found it. I would recommend Royal Decks to anyone thinking of a new deck and would rate them a solid 10! Miro and Steve are true professionals who actually believe that customer service is the key to a successful small business. Well done guys!
