    Platform Base

    I tested the beds at the location in Toronto near High Park. We were both put off by the sales lady (who kept calling my partner and I "kids" - we're in our 30's) but we liked one of the platforms well enough to order it. Let's just say that all the negative reviews about their delivery are spot on. We were told delivery would take place one day, but received a call 4 days sooner (when no one was home) that they would be there that day. In the exchange of words that followed the operator was quite hostile towards my partner, telling her that she was wrong and that if we weren't home to take the order it would need to be rescheduled. At some point the operator called back - oops, they had the wrong file, sorry for the confusion... Not impressed. It took a call to CS and escalation of the situation to get an apology out of them. We got the platform eventually. The delivery guys were great, put it together quickly, and they were off. They're the reason this is a 2 star review and not zero stars. We had an issue with the height of the platform, and the manufacturer told us they have shorter legs. I reached out to SC via their website (not wanting to deal with their operators again) to say that we didn't know that there were options for the legs, and that we wanted the shorter ones because we're pretty sure that's what we saw in the store... and given that we didn't know there was an option, we shouldn't have to pay the $100 that was being asked for the short legs - that should be an exchange. This happened in May. It wasn't until tonight, August, after multiple website requests and a bunch of twitter messages (where they asked for my contact information twice) that I finally got them on the phone (not after they left a VM promising to call back and then... didn't). They said, oh, you have to buy those from the manufacturer, we don't sell the shorter legs. I'm done with you Sleep Country. You're inept at Customer Service and there are so many other great companies out there that I'll be putting my support elsewhere. The irony is that we need a second platform and really like the product - suffice to say we'll find someone else that sells it.

    Worst bed and worst company!!

    Buying from this company is the WORST decision I have ever made. I bought a temperpedic medium in June. The sales rep told me it was the most luxurious bed you could buy from them. I was so over the top excited to sleep in it. first night I work up 10 times covered in sweat. This mattress sucked the heat from my body and basically created a sauna. I am a 27 year old fit girl that has never had any medical conditions. I returned to the store and they convinced me to go with the soft breeze, stated that it is the best for hot sleepers and that I should pick soft because I sleep on my side. Would have been good to know that in the FIRST place, plus they never told me its hot. I have had it two days and have slept a total of 5 hours. I paid3,500 for the first one and then another 1,500 to upgrade to the breeze cool bed. I called the company crying. I was so upset. 5K later and I have nothing. I am so upset. I called the 1800 number. What sounded like a 16 year old girl stated that they can exchange it one more time and then that's it. I said I just want a normal mattress that's 1,000 and I want my 4 grand back. She said sorry no. So basically they are pocketing the difference. I am so upset, please don't listen to the sale people at sleep country. They have destroyed my sleep and I have never had issues. Reading the reviews now they say its horrible for intimacy... so basically its destroyed my love life too! I am waiting for management to get back to me. I pray to god they do something for me.

    Mattress

    Bought a king size mattress box and frame, six months ago. Waited 2 months for a service tech to come out to assess the damages. Everything was defective and I had to go and get it replaced. The first attempted delivery: The drivers told me the day of thr delivery that I needed to have it steam cleaned. They refused to take the mattress without a cleaned. We got it cleaned. The second atempted delivery: The drivers refuse to take up a king size mattress in an open-concept staircase do to child gates in which the day before the delivery I had notified customer service that I had child gates as I have a toddler and they assured me that there was no issue and that the delivery would be successful. The end result of this delivery was that the driver took the old mattress and might I add that he was able to lift and carry the king size mattress with one hand by himself to the delivery truck whereas he was unwilling to take the new mattress upstairs with his colleague. The mattress is currently in my living room and I had to search for helper on Kijiji to help me take the mattress upstairs to my bedroom. Not only did I have to pay $130 to disinfect a defective mattress I also had to pay $45 for a helper off Kijiji to come help me take my mattress upstairs. If you want the same great customer service I had, please go ahead and purchase your mattress at Sleep Country! Great experience for me!! Hope this review helps you make a wise decision!!

    Horrible Customer Service

    Embarrassing service received from Sleep Country. Here is a quick list of some of the failures provided by their seemingly incompetent staff: - Promised pickup during a time frame, confirmed multiple times, then called day of and rescheduled for 6 hours later (after I had already prepped the area thus requiring to setup my bedroom again) - Needed to reschedule to the next time they were to be in my area which wasn’t for two days - On delivery date they failed to remove the old mattress as was discussed with their sales staff - On delivery date they failed to set up the new bed - Made formal complaint that day to which I was supposed to get a call back. Needed to call them multiple times to acknowledge what they planned on doing. - Offered to pick up old mattress one week later… - After additional requests they found time in their schedule to pick up the old bed three days after their first failure (this caused us to have an old mattress live in our living room) - Promised multiple call backs in time frames they created that they failed at every time. - Refuse to offer any reimbursement for the gross incompetence and inconvenience offered to their “customers” The quality of their mattress so far has not been bad. But thanks to their horrible staff I would never recommend anyone to purchase from any Sleep Country.

    Sleep country only place to buy a bed

    I am a very loyal customer to sleep country when it comes to buying a bed. Free delivery and set up Great quality Knowledgeable and friendly staff You even have 30 days to try out the bed and if not happy can exchange Only place I my opinion for a bed. The new location. At yonge and steeles has great parking and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I dealt with Chris and Robert

    No apologies or Customer services

    Sleep Country Oakville delivered the WRONG mattresses on the WRONG day to the WRONG address. And they were UNAPOLOGETIC. And the problem is not fixed. I ordered 2 mattresses to be delivered to my address on Sunday and my daughter ordered a third mattress to be delivered to a different address next week. INSTEAD. my mattresses were delivered to my daughter's address yesterday. My daughter, being only 19, did not know what to do, and accepted the order. The issues are as follows 1. the salesperson, had the wrong mattress delivered to the wrong address on the wrong date 2. the store is unapologetic and slow. I had followed up a number of times to find out if they could redeliver on Sunday. 3. Store staff are rude and unresponsive. Today, I have called the supervisor. No response to date and no mattress. AT NO POINT IN TIME HAS ANYONE APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR ERROR or EXPRESSED CONCERN, much less fixed the problem. Dealing with this company is a nightmare.

    Mattress warranty

    I was very impressed with the warranty process. Three years ago we bought our mattress from Sleep Company and it started to sag from body impression. We made one phone call, the warranty process was started immediately and within two days warranty was approved. Quick, easy, painless, we are very impressed. Thank you Sleep Country.....

    Sleep country warranty

    Read reviews and thought no way they would honour mine. Called about pillowtop moving and they told me no that's not bad enough but you have a slump so we will warranty that. They had secora clean it and they just replaced my 6 year old mattress. I was worried they would say no because it looks old but no problem.Great experience with them

    No returns

    I bought a Tempurpedic mattress and a platform bed(divan). The divan broke twice. The second time I looked inside and this $1200 divan was made with staples, cardboard, and 1x2 boards of horrible quality. I tried to reinforce it myself and couldn't stop it squeaking (due to staples used to hold it together). Sleep Country refused to refund, so this $1200 bed is going to the dump.

    Terrible Company

    When they are trying to get your money, the salespeople are extremely friendly and try to get you to buy everything. However, when something goes wrong and you need your money back, (warranty, refund, etc.) they make it impossible. I tried to get a return and their "debit" machine was broken and they promised to mail me a courier check within 3 days. It's been over two weeks now and all they can say is, "Sorry, we can't do anything about it." HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! NO WONDER THEY ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. 0/100000 would NEVER recommend to anybody. There are thousands of other reviews similar to mine. It's not a coincidence. I can't believe the way this company is being handled. Awful. Save yourself a nightmare and go anywhere BUT Sleep Country.
