Somerset was referred to us by a trusted friend who had their home done. We loved their renovation and decided to take their referral. Our project was top to bottom including underpinning and semi-finished basement. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Also impressive were the timelines - there was only a 6 week delay, but that was due in part to required changes in engineering scope. Renovations can be challenging, but Somerset was very responsive and months after the renovation was done, continued to address minor issues that arose. We highly recommend Somerset as they are responsive, reasonably priced, and work to ensure a quality outcome. Before and after pics of new extension and kitchen attached (our favorite upgrades!).

Somerset Construction completed a major renovation on our bungalow including a new kitchen with raised ceiling, new mud room and pantry, bathrooms, two gas fireplaces, new wood flooring throughout, completely finished basement including a walkout, entertainment area, bar, gym and additional living quarters. We were extremely pleased with the high quality of the finished product. Throughout the project Somerset was very reliable, helpful, trustworthy, responsive to all issues, and we would highly recommend Somerset Construction for home renovations.

My wife and I bought an old Toronto home and we were looking to do a complete renovation before moving in. We interviewed many builders and GCs around the Toronto area but all of them had their faults, however when we met Graeme we instantly knew that we were going to go with him. He is honest, trustworthy, a true professional, and extremely good at what he does. He gave us the confidence to know that our investment is in good hands and we recognized quickly that he does have your best interest in mind. At the end of our project, my wife and I got our dream home, all thanks to Graeme and his team.

Graeme and his team did my renovation through Covid. Graeme made sure that I was always aware of what was going on, and constantly communicated with me as issues arose (It was during covid!). Graeme made sure that I was happy each step of the way - and the workmanship was outstanding.

From the outset, they provided clear projections for project timelines and costs, ensuring that we not only finished on time but also within budget. One noteworthy instance of their dedication was when we encountered a structural challenge during the renovation. Somerset team collaborated directly with our architect, coordinated with the city inspection team and structural engineers, successfully addressing the issue. The project timeline was meticulously planned, and the team ensured that skilled tradespeople were well-coordinated. Each task was approached with thoroughness and accountability. We started planning in July construction started in September 2022, we successfully completed the project by April 2023, meeting our tight timelines, thanks to Somerset Construction Team's diligent efforts during challenging times. City inspections were efficiently coordinated and completed, further highlighting the team's organizational prowess. Post construction we reached out to them asking to address some of the minor issues. The team documented all the issues, they came back very quickly and addressed all the minor fixes. Regarding payments, the team demonstrated a high level of detail, thoroughness, and transparency. Every expenditure was meticulously accounted for, instilling confidence in the financial aspect of the project. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Somerset Construction Team, specifically their President and Project Manager. They attentively listen to your needs and provide an accurate depiction of the project, making them a reliable choice for any construction endeavor.

Somerset did a fantastic job on our renovation. After our designs shifted due to pandemic cost increases, they gave us a number and stuck to it. All the trades were courteous and professional, and we are extremely happy in our new home.

Having Somerset bring our dream home renovation to reality was the best decision we made. They worked with us every step of the way from design conception to planning to execution. We appreciated Graeme's honesty, Sandeep's attention to detail and all the workers they brought in were reliable, hard working and most of all really nice people. Somerset - Graeme, Sandeep, and their very professional team of subcontractors - did a wonderful job in renovating the kitchen and main floor of our semi-detached house. Somerset provided sage and realistic advice and guidance throughout the process. We are very pleased with the results and would gladly contract Somerset again.

We can't recommend them highly enough- super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We had an old bathroom redone, including tearing out a derelict whirlpool tub from when we moved in several years ago. We were able to pick exactly the new fixtures, tiles, and colours we wanted, got great advice from Daniel and his team, and a reasonable quote- not the cheapest but definitely competitive. But even more importantly, the work was done on time, to specifications, and any little thing that came up like redoing the pot lights or putting in a storage niche by the bathtub was easily accommodated. Daniel himself came by towards the end to touch up paint and water sealing, and we now think our new little bathroom is now one of the nicest parts of our house! We've had issues with other contractors in the past, but Somerset was a class act all the way through. Please do give them a call for any renovation needs, we highly recommend then!
