Sonoma was amazing. Couldn’t be happier with the process and the outcome. Premium service without a premium price. Mike and his team were professional, courteous and very helpful with advice as we planned the project. We really didn’t have to worry about coordinating or any of the logistic details and had full confidence that everything was being overseen by seasoned pros.

Mike and Aldo were excellent to work with and came highly recommended. Their team was professional, courteous and delivered high quality work as they renovated our basement. They also adjusted course easily when necessary and the communication was constant and always clear about when decisions were required, when workers would be on-site, and where there would be additional or adjusted costs. Most importantly, they completed the work when they said they would, and were consistent with the quoted estimate. We couldn’t be happier with how our basement turned out, and that’s thanks to Mike and Also at Sonoma!

My husband and I hired Mike and Sonoma. We did know him but based on great reviews moved forward with a partnership. We loved working with him and his entire crew. They are reliable, respectful and take great pride in the great work that they do. I was very happy and we have since hired Sonoma for another project. Our experience with Sonoma Contracting far exceeded our expectations. Briefly, we want to tell you why. Try to imagine deciding to do a major renovation of your home, finding a contractor, working out all the details and then leaving your 100 year old semi-detached house completely in their hands, while you leave the county for four months? Well, that’s exactly what we did! Initially, Mike worked with us very patiently, through several revisions of a very detailed scope of work. He then stayed in touch with us ‘virtually’ as needed, throughout renovation. Mike and Aldo were very creative in solving some gnarly problems that were uncovered during demolition, and kept as much as possible within budget. As work proceeded, we were so confident in them that we just we just asked them to do what they would do, if it was their own home. There were no surprises, until we returned home. When we opened the front door and saw our ‘new’ home for the time we were truly blown away. Our previously dark first floor was filled with light, from a huge second floor skylight, shining on new ceilings, walls and floors, complimented by beautiful lighting and custom trim work. A lovely powder room was creatively added into a very small space. There is more of course, but we said we would be brief. As self-declared ‘picky’ clients, we are so grateful for the expertise and excellent attention to detail that Mike, Aldo and each of the talented tradespeople on this team contributed, to create our beautifully renovated home. Throughout this ‘long distance’ renovation relationship, Mike, Aldo and each member of their team were trustworthy, professional, and very highly skilled. Communication was great and we parted friends. We could not be happier with the stunning transformation of our home by Sonoma Contracting, completed while we were thousands of miles away.

Mike and his team were really great to work with. Trustworthy and did a great job. Satisfied, and I would recommend them to anyone. Mike and his crew originally finished our basement years several years ago. They did a fantastic job. Recently we had a basement drain backup and the drywall, painting carpet, and flooring had to be replaced. We immediately reached out to Mike and his crew. As usual Mike contacted us and gave us his estimate. The job was finished in just three days. The crew that he uses are the best. very happy and pleased to have found Mike and his crew yrs ago. We will always use them!!!

Over the years, we have had Mike, Aldo and rest of the team undertake a number of projects in our home, including a full basement renovation, kitchen and bathroom work, and exterior repairs. Each time we have been very happy with the work and price. They are trustworthy and a pleasure to liaise with! We would definitely recommend them.

Our experience was like many others in these reviews - highly positive. The entire process of making a new apartment in our basement took about 12 weeks. The work was well organised and co-ordinated so that it was finished exactly on time. Mike oversaw the whole process, and Aldo was there to see to all the details while sub-contractors were doing gutting, framing, drywalling, window installation, tilesetting, plumbing, electrical, painting, and kitchen and bathroom installation. The workmen all adhered to a high standard of attention to details and were disciplined about lunch breaks etc. Mike and Aldo were flexible and helpful and steered us away from inexpert decisions. They were also pleasant and cordial as people. We highly recommend Sonoma Contracting.

We are so happy we hired Sonoma to renovate the basement of our newly underpinned semi. Mike and Aldo were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They handled any challenges promptly, and were flexible and detail oriented. When either of them said "we will take care of it", you could 100% trust that they would deliver. Their trades were experienced, professional and pleasant to have in our home. The workmanship is top notch. Being able to trust both the integrity, and the capabilities of a contractor is invaluable. Renovations can be stressful, and this peace of mind was so important and appreciated. Sonoma exceeded our expectation (I'm a picky customer!) and we would not hesitate to recommend them.
