    Chimney rebuild

    Wilkens did a great job rebuilding the chimney! Their quote spelled out everything in detail and they were happy to answer questions I had. Frank and Mike turned up on time and completed the job in one day working efficiently and cleaning up at the end.

    Replacement of deteriorating bricks

    Old, previously sandblasted bricks were breaking down. Wilkens' bricklayers did an expert job of replacing them with new bricks and worked quickly and left a clean job site. Very happy with the result.

    Chimney repair

    Frank & Ed from Wilkens did a great job replacing out 40 year old Chimney. The matched the bricks as closely as possible, were on time and cleaned up afterwards to the point of washing the sidewalk. The final price, was as quoted with no argument.

    Brick replacement

    The entire team was professional. Work was great, cleanup exceptional and the price was what I thought it would be.

    Chimney Repair

    Wilkens quoted on a chimney that had to be partially rebuilt. We were not aware of the problems to be encountered, particularly raccoons and broken brick in the flue which prevented movement of the damper. The Wilkens' team took care of it all and removed all of the waste. They were very professional, cooperative and neat I would certainly use them again.

    Masonry - maintenance and repair of fieldstone foundation

    Bill from Wilkens did a superb job filling holes in the fieldstone foundation of my 100-year old brick house. He tinted the cement to blend with the stones and spent 6.5 hours meticulously locating and filling both large and minuscule holes. A true craftsman!!!

    Masonry Repair

    Every once in a while the masonry of my 1939 house needs some TLC. My first call has always been to Wilkens Contracting. And like their most recent November 2023 visit, Ive always been very pleased. From the office team to the onsite team they consistently delivery prompt, professional service. Wilkens Contracting really knows their stuff!

    Chimney repair

    I contacted Wilkens after someone else had done a poor repair on my chimney that created problems with the draw. They responded very quickly, sent someone within a week to assess the issues and provide a quote. Repair date was scheduled soon after. When they were doing the work, it was discovered that there were larger problems to deal with. They went to get the right materials and fixed everything perfectly. And, the quote was still the same (amazingly). We will be reaching back to Richard and Bill to look at some brick pointing. They are honest and skilled.

    Window enlargement and brick work

    We needed a kitchen window enlarged and shortened, an old stove vent bricked over, and an exterior supporting pillar repaired. Wikens was extremely professional throughout every aspect of this job. An assessor came to our home to look at the areas that needed work, assess the scope of the work and the time it would take to complete it. We were given a detailed, itemized quote within 24 hours. When I agreed to proceed with the work, I spoke to the mason who explained how long the job would take and he informed me when the work could be started. He was able to reuse the old brick so that the window looked as if it had always been there. We are extremely happy with our new window opening, the brickwork and repair of the damaged pillar. Wilkens is a family owned business and each person I had contact with was extremely Skilled, professional, cheerful, and helpful. I would highly recommend their company and workmanship.     Repair Brick or Stone Fireplace
    Crumbling bricks were falling inside the chimney and bricks were decaying by the front steps. Wilkens was the lower of two quotes and I'm so glad I went with Wilkens. Their work was terrific and the new bricks matched the old ones beautifully. They were very professional and you get the benefit of many years of experience. Definitely would recommend.
