Danny and his team installed French doors along the back wall of our home. They are so beautiful and even with so much window surface, its always comfortably warm inside, even on those frosty, windy winter days! Windows failed seals brake SECOND replacement worse than the first. Five months of nothing but excuses and now no response. Guess you get what you pay for and service is not part of the deal for this company. UPDATE just read company response. On August 19 I advised the owner that I was going in to the hospital for tests mid October. How he can construe this was Covid related boggles my mind. My concern was what the results would be and that further procedures would keep me in the hospital. I advised I needed a date because once in the hospital I had no idea when I was coming homeAnswer from pro:
We here at Windtek were very surprised that you wrote this bad review of our business after we chatted so many times for days back to back. We took your calls whenever we could and hope you understand we are very busy trying to catch up on installs and service and may miss some calls. The thing you failed to understand is that we are just following government protocol. In your calls with us you said precisely that you were not feeling well and also how adamant you were on wanting quick service. According to the government of Ontario, Canada, and The World Health Organization, there are legal policies that stop us from being able to come to your home while you are sick. We are required to follow protocol and we are not willing to risk the health and safety of our team or our clients in situations like this. Windtek has been in business for almost 50 years mainly due to pride in product and service. We did replace the items you initially complained about and we told you to adjust the humidity in your home and possible an awning over your front door as the problem is spermatic and there is NO protection over your front entry. As for the second time, we never said we wouldn’t supply service but that you must simply be patient as many people in your situation are. Both for better health and for regulations to cool off as we follow the same regulations every other company must abide by Non-essential work is still at risk due to the pandemic as I am sure you know. As regulations ease off we will be in contact for inspection of your thermal units. Thanks,

I’m so happy with my new windows manufactured and installed by Windtek! I had an early indication that customer service was a top priority for Windtek when Danny, the owner, answered the company phone himself and came to my house the very next day. His extensive experience in this 32 year old family business proved invaluable in selecting the best product for my application. At Danny’s invitation, I visited their state of the art factory in Vaughan. I liked the fact that Windtek manufactures their own windows unlike other companies that quoted. The quality is excellent. The windows are so easy to open and clean. And I now have wider interior window sills, beefier trim and improved visibility. And their price was competitive! The installation team under the leadership of Jose arrived on time, worked efficiently, protected my floors and did a thorough cleanup including vacuuming. Well done! Just had some windows replaced. I was very impressed with both the sales and installation services. We dealt with Ryan (sales) who was very professional and very informative. He even went as far as showing up the day of the installation to ensure we were happy with the work being done. The installers were great as well. They had all the flooring covered through the house where they were walking, and left left with no mess to clean up. Will definitely contact Ryan in the future for future window / door replacements.
