I found Homestars.com on the internet and did my reaserch there. Glad I did because I found this company that did a wonderful job with my floors. Very knowledgeable people. They take pride from start to finish. The guy they send out to measure the square footage, Peter, is very informative and very professional. Thanks Homestars and Frontier Flooring. This was one good experience. Super job.

I'm a repeat customer. I wanted to wait to do hardwood in my family room and den until next year but because of the new HST tax effective this July, I decided to do it now and save some money. Since Frontier did a great job the last time it was a no brainer to use them again. They did not disapoint me. They did another beautifull job. Thanks again Frontier.

The least painful home renovation experience ever. Frontier flooring came in and before I could blink my eyes, the floors throughout my entire condo were beatutiful and new! The staff was mindful, curteous and clean. All in all, a fantastic home renovation experience. I have already recommended them to friends!

We purchased a new home from the original purchaser 3 months after they closed with the builder. As carpeting on the bedroom level would not have been our choice, we chose to replace it with the same Vintage hardwood which had already been installed on the ground level. We were familiar with the warrenty and quality of this hardwood as we had installed it in a house and apartment when we lived in Ottawa. We chose to contact Frontier Flooring because we saw their truck in the area; we could not have been more fortunate. The company provided an accurate quote, arrived at the time and day projected, did a skilled installation, finished on schedule and were the kind of tradesmen you would want to have in your home. They cleanly removed and disposed of carpet, screwed down existing subfloor and moved heavy pieces of furniture in order to complete the job.

We had researched the big hardware “do-it-yourself” retailers and several other flooring companies, but found them to be overpriced, not have the exact type of laminate we wanted or did not specialize in hardwood flooring. We then found Homestars through a Google search which led us to Frontier Flooring. We were hesitant at first but were so impressed with all their good reviews. Why we trust Frontier: 1. They have a good process of providing an accurate quote –everything was priced to the detail on paper (I.e. underlay, quarter round, transition, labour). They bring out a contractor to ensure that measurements are precisely taken and the accurate amount of laminate was ordered. Other places would only give a back of the napkin quote which didn’t guarantee that the total price of the contract. 2. Our condo had very strict requirements regarding the type of underlay. Frontier Flooring took the extra step of contacting the Condo to understand the requirements. They provided everything that the Condo management required to approve the job (insurance info, 4x4 sample of the cork underlay). 3. Their store was organized and the cleanest I’ve seen compared to others. I found that it was really easy to choose the laminate we wanted. 4. The 2 contractors they sent were professional, on time, friendly and answered any questions we had. They paid extra attention to the details. They delivered the exact wood we ordered and also listened to our requests (i.e. cover the kitchen with a drop sheet). 5. They have a 1 year warranty on all workmanship and in writing – so if anything goes wrong, you can easily give them a call. There were some minor bumps as it took over a month to order the laminate from Torlys as the supplier was out of stock of this type. Also, there was some confusion via email regarding the first deposit that resulted in a cancellation of the order. Best to give them a call or drop in the store in person to discuss the details as opposed to via email. In the end, Frank did everything to resolve the issue and get the job done. We are very satisfied with the laminate we chose (Torlys – Uptown, Dark Mahogany)!!! They even gave us a free bottle of laminate cleaner. We get complimented all the time from friends and family of how beautiful the flooring is and that it doesn’t look like laminate at all and looks exactly like hardwood.

We decided to add hardwood flooring to our recently purchased home (living room, family room, dining room, office, and hall). We shopped around Homestars for the "best of the best" and Frontier was at the top. We visited the Frontier showroom in Vaughan and picked which hardwood we wanted - we asked tons of questions to ensure that our new floor would match the existing hardwood staircase. Frontier explained the "aged" look of the oak and we were sold. Next step was the home visit. Peter came out and explained what would be done, how long it would take, and itemized all the costs so we could determine what we wanted them to do versus ourselves. Frontier sent the quote quickly and we compared to all of the other quotes. Obviously, we picked Frontier. To help save on costs and have a little family fun, we decided to remove the old carpeting ourselves and screw down the sub-floor. After that, we moved everything into the kitchen (felt like a very small apartment). Frontier arrived and quickly got to work. We had a slightly uneven floor in the family room, so Frontier levelled it out and began the transformation. Three days of installation and the place was like new, from old beige carpet to beautiful new oak hardwood. They even put a wood detail in the floor around our gas fireplace to make it stand out. As wood occasionally expands and splitters along the edges, Frontier returned (as promised and warrantied) to fix those boards that needed replacing. Now...months later, no more splitters and the floor looks great. We truly love it. One last comment - get the "in floor vents" (Airwood) - the floor looks soooo much better with them integrated into the hardwood. Great suggestion from Frontier! This is our second major project with Frontier Flooring. We hired them to lay the hardwood floor throughout our new home - approx 2150 ft of hardwood. Once again the whole experience, from our first visit to the showroom, to the quotation, to the installation was flawless. Angelo patiently provided 4 different quotes based on different selections and combinations, he and Frank provided helpful advice in making our final selection. The installation was excellent, the crew was professional, efficient and most important they take pride in their work. We were very pleased with their (and Angelo's) willingness to work around the general contractor's schedule. Once again we are very satisfied customers.

I needed laminate flooring in my basement apartment, shopped around, read reviews on homestars and decided to check out Frontier. I'm very glad I did because they did a super Job. I'll recommend them to my friends and family.
