Otto's team was knowledgeable, helpful and quick to respond. They came and completed the work and were quick to come back when I said I wanted a bit more tuck-pointing done on the front of my house. The work was done in the early winter of last year and everything has held up through spring into summer. I have and will continue to refer business to Otto.

It is unusual that I hire I company and they stick to their word and their team is personable, flexible and knowledgeable. This is what I experienced with Otto's Masonry. Originally I was quoted for what I thought my building/home would need but after the team began working on it they found that I needed more work than was first expected. My building is from the 1880's and sits in downtown Toronto and because of its location and age it had been painted in the late 90's. In short order I quickly found that the paint was actually holding some of the bricks together. So Otto came by personally to meet me and see the situation and made a deal with me for the extra work. His deal was very reasonable! I knew the work had to be done and I know I had to be flexible if the work was to be done well and Otto worked with me and came up with the final plan of action. From Brian who quoted me, to Nick and Jason who did the work, and finally to Otto who came to inspect -- every single aspect of this job was done professionally and with high regard for the owner. The complete team was polite and helpful. And when I asked for a few things cosmetic to make me happy they just did it. What a rare working experience with contractors. Wonderful job and wonderful personalities to work with. Thank you.

Extremely happy with their service. Showed up at 7:30 every morning bright and early and was done within two days. Friendly and professional staff. Was given a quote, and that's what I paid. No surprise extra charges at end. Will definitely use them again.

I emailed Otto's Masonry and was quickly responded to by one of their estimators. The quote was surprising reasonable so we moved ahead with the work. Badir came out and worked his butt off all day - kept me in the loop on the progress and was very professional. He kept a tidy work area and you can tell he was a true tradesman as there was pride in his workmanship. I would definitely contact them for any future masonry work and will be recommending them to my neighbours and friends. Thanks OM!

I asked Otto to quote on fixing my front steps. His quote was very reasonable, and his team showed up very timely and they ground and re-mortared the stones and bricks on my front steps. As a result I have steps that look completely like new. Near the completion of the job, Otto came by and verified the craftsmanship of his team, made a small adjustment himself that I think made a huge difference, and in the end gave me an awesome end product. Thank you very much Otto's Masonry! Would use again for sure.

Otto replace my old cracked uneven sidewalk with a new sidewalk that beautifully takes the water AWAY from the foundation of my house. He even sent his guys back to re-install my gate. Very clean, professional workmanship and very easy people to deal with. I would recommend without hesitation.

My wife and I moved into our house 3 years ago. It's a 1977 build, and the original driveway retaining wall did not have any drainage. Consequently, over the years, the freezing and thawing cycles caused the wall to buckle and the cinder blocks under the stairs to crumble. We got a number of quotes from reputable sources, some of whom turned out to be a little sketchy - one (actually one of the top 2 rated on Homestars) wouldn't give us a quote in writing. Brian from Otto's Masonry came by, and I immediately felt at ease. He was eager to show us their work, and was very adept at problem solving our particular retaining wall situation. The price was very reasonable, so we went ahead. Despite being foiled by the weather, Otto and his crew (we had Conroy and his son doing the stonework) did a fantastic job. Both my wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. There was a slight issue with some minor damage to a window, but Otto was very stand-up and replaced the window without question. Mistakes happen, and all I ask is for honesty and transparency in a contractor. For that reason alone, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Otto's Masonry to anyone looking for high-quality, reasonably-priced work. Pictures below.

Otto's Masonry was recommended to me by my trusted contractor. I called Otto into quote and replace a front pillar that had started to tilt. The workers were top notch and did a great job removing the old pillar and replacing it with a new one. The quality of work was excellent. There was a few hick ups with the final details but Otto corrected everything in the end and made things right. I will and would recommend Otto's Masonry to clients and friends. Good work, professional and competitive pricing.

Once I contacted Otto's Masonry Brian (the estimator) came out within days to look over the project and provide a quote. The quote was more than reasonable and the next week Brad (the masonry) arrived to do the work. Brad was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and completed the work in a most efficient manner. I would highly recommend Otto and his team.

Terrible service. Needed a chimney extended and one sealed and he sealed our neighbour's chimney instead of ours. Like a doctor amputating the wrong leg. Would never use or recommend. Tuck pointing not completed. Used wrong colour brick on the front. Would never let him or his apprentices near our house again.
