    washer repair

Knew this store has been around for a long time, so decided to call them for help with our old washer as it was frequently burning out during the spin cycle. I don't know a lot about washers, but they were able to help us fix the belt that drives thew washer. I like that this store is independent and family-owned, and the staff obviously know what they are doing. We gave the washer to a friend shortly after as we got a new one, but she still says its been working without a hitch.

    Dryer was not drying...

and so I called Handy Appliances. They were here within a couple days and were able to diagnose and fix the problem on the spot. Unfortunately, it had only worked for a few days before it stopped working again... however they brought someone back to fix it free of charge.

    Washer/dryer repair

We've used Handy Appliance to repair our washers and dryers in our apartment building and they seem competent enough, but in terms of value for money, I'm still looking for a better repair company. The prices they charge for some of the parts they use seem too high, and at one point I was able to find the same part for almost half of what Handy was going to charge.

Needed parts for my gas range

The oven of my just-out-of-warranty Ikea gas range stopped igniting when turned on. Handy appliance was able to explain what I needed to do to fix it and provided the needed parts for under$50. This is a great place for replacement parts as well as a great place to browse for discounted new and near new appliances. It doesn't have a fancy showroom, but it also doesn't have pushy commissioned salespeople following you around, either!

    Dryer repair

My dryer broke down a few months ago, and decided to call Handyman Appliances to come and diagnose the problem. Turns out the heating coil had burnt out and they had to install a new one. Install was successful.... for 4 months, when it had to be replaced again. Our dryer is only being used occasionally by 2 adults and so does not get a lot of wear. However, I had called Handyman again to tell them about the problem, and they had come in to replace it at no additional cost.
