These guys are top notch. They know their chimneys and how to clean em real good. The guys also gave me some solid advice to prevent future chimney problems. Very recommended.

    Chimney Sweep

Great service and advice on how to maintain our chimney duct. They also cleaned the moss on the chimeny at no extra charge. They went beyond my service request, I will call them back again to upgrade the chimeny flute.

    Chimney Repair, Fireplace Rebuild

Upon moving into our house, we decided that we wanted to re-open a wood fireplace that had been covered up. Starting with our selection process, they were the most professional company we talked to. They provided us with a range of options at different price points. We decided to have them put in a wood burning insert to avoid the extra cost of rebuilding the cracked fire box of our old fireplace. It's 10 years later and we're still happy with the results

    Chimney rebuild exposed above roof

A fully detailed quote was delivered upon site visit (arrived at the agreed time - great). Finished work appears excellent (time will tell). Failure to manage the project occurred: No Show on site review for crane truck and materials placement as the job boss was at the wrong address. No schedule supplied for work start nor progress days to completion. I had to 'chase' down the Project Manager, Bob. Workers proceeded on their own, conscientiously. The crew managed the site and cleaned up correctly. Overall - we are pleased with the job. It was just the lack of what was happening and when that cause concern. That can be easily cured.

    Seepage repair

My first job was when I had seepage problems and got them to grind out all the existing grout and replace it then seal the brick. I had shopped around and their price was reasonable. The second job was repairing the brick for my fence along the front of my property. The fence was older than the renovations done by the previous owner and now matches my house. Again a job well done at a good price.

    Repair flashing

I bought the house in 2009 and found out after the first big rain that water leaked into my attic from the fireplace. The house was built in 1963 and since the leak had been occurring for a while some of my insulation needed to be replaced. I expected the worst but these guys came over took a look and told me my flashing was the culprit. Got it replaced asap without a problem and after the rain last week not a drop.

    Rebuilt chimney

We hired them to rebuild our chimney that was in very bad shape. They were amazing! Bob was great and made us feel very comfortable with this huge project, we feel the price was fare. Bob was honest and kept us up to date with everything. There were no surprises. The crew was very professional. They worked incredibly hard, finished the project on time and did a great clean-up! Our new chimney looks great and with this lovely weather I think we will use it this weekend! My husband and I would highly recommend Dunbar Masonry.

    Brick fence repair

We hired them to repair our front brick fence which was badly damaged when the house next door was torn down and a new one was built. The work was great, it matched perfectly with the existing fence. I also found their price to be quite resonable.

    Rebuild retaining wall

Our original retaining wall at the back of our apartment building had to be destroyed when we had an oil tank dug out from underground, so we contracted Dunbar Masonry to rebuilding the section required. They did a professional job and cleaned up the area so that things looked basically back to normal before the oil tank was removed. If we needed this kind of work done again, I'd use Dunbar Masonry.
