    Pump need repair

Called Mayfair because pool filter had stopped. It starts up its own. Repair guy looks and says it is working. Hasn't a clue why it stopped. At our house for 10 mins. We call Mayfair back because pump goes off again. This time it is still off when (the same) service guy comes back. Flicks a couple of switches but doesn't even take out tools to open it up. He says it is broken and needs to be replaced. It will cost $700. The one we have is $1,200 and only a few years old. Kept asking him how he knew it couldn't be fixed - his response - because it isn't working. Really!! Was there 20 mins this time.

    New Pool Installation

If you're considering working with a professional, time sensitive and committed pool company, DO NOT HIRE Mayfair Pools in Unionville. Working with the company was painful and frustrating. We had paid for a maintenance package that was never explained to us, there was no follow up by the company in regards to customer satisfaction or inquiries at the end of the project. They do not return emails, phone calls or texts. Their communication skills only function when a payment is due. Highly disappointed, dissatisfied customers. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

    New Pool/Deck/Spa Install

After significant research and four quotes we were led to Mayfair by four other satisfied customers who we knew socially. Even so we checked their previous work and did 3 references with Mayfair customers - as this is a massive investment. This is our 2nd pool in 14 years (first was at a previous house) so we could compare experiences. What a joy. From our initial meeting with Russ King (salesman for Mayfair) to all the workers and even the owner Aaron - we were more than impressed with the entire experience: perfectly on time, superb work ethic, on budget and the cleanest pool company ever! This is a family business for almost 40+ years and I have never seen such dedication and pride. Many of the workers are in their 2nd or 3rd decade with the company. Believe it or not - Aaron (owner) did the cement finish of the bottom of the pool HIMSELF! The follow up, the customer service, the training on the remote spa/light/heat system were amazing. Never too much, always available and really quality work. Russ King came back and forth and always with a smile. We are utterly delighted with this fabulous pool and are thrilled that we chose Mayfair. No surprises and even got a small refund at the end as we were able to save in a certain area - a fact pointed out to us by Mayfair themselves. Highly recommended!

    Inground Pool

We hired Mayfair in 2011 to design and install our inground pool. We found them to be very professional and are extremely happy with the pool. We looked extensively at pool companies and ended up going with Mayfair based on the recommendation of several friends who had used them. Any minor issues were quickly addressed and they continue to provide great service on the opening and closing of the pool.

    Pool closing

I hired Mayfair pools to close my 16x32 ingound pool in early November. I wasn't home when the work was done but it looked like a clean and well organized job. About two weeks after the closing, the pool cover partially fell into the pool. I contacted Mayfair but was told that the warranty period for pool closings is 24 hours. The pool cover is supposed to last all winter but they only warranty their work for the first 24 hours. I fished two full water bags out of the pool and finished the job myself.
