    Installed but not as discussed

We ordered a replacement for the front vestibule screen door and sidelights, and agreed upon the style of door as well as the lockset which was to include an actual handle and lockable hardware. Also the glass was supposed to be thermopane and tempered. The installers came more than 3hrs late, never bothered to call so I wasted half a day of work waiting for no reason. They left the site in a big mess, didn't sweep after the work was done (because it was raining) so there are screws and chips of paint and strips of plastic strewn around. The lockset was pointed out to them to be incorrect but they refused to install the correct one, and my messages for the guy who quoted the job were not returned even now after 4 days. They withdrew the rest of the money form my account despite the incomplete installation.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Nick Borecescu, So sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with the service provided. We did not do installation of doors or sidelight. Our installer did a porch enclosure, which is the outside closure in front of the door. Its only purpose is to shelters from harsh weather. The glass is tempered and thermopane. Porches do not have "door quality locks" and it is clearly stipulated on your contract. Proper locks come with front door, again porches intended for closing from the harsh weather, not security. Sultan spoke with you several times as you called. Loyal Seal Windows and Doors also received completed and signed by you "completion form" where you stipulated that the installation was to your satisfaction, nothing was mentioned about "mess" or anything else. Your real concern is the lock, that doesn't come with porch, since you can't really install it on glass or aluminum.

    Door replacements

Office staff were helpful confirming sales booking/installers. Salesperson was polite with no pressure tactics and assisted with colour match with patience. Excellent price for 2 side doors. Installation was thorough, and meticulous. Installers were excellent. Door quality impressive.

    Sliding Door Replacement

Our project this spring was relatively small - just a replacement of sliding door to the backyard. All I can say that our whole experience was nothing but pleasant and satisfactory. We were suggested the best available option for us, it took about 2 weeks for the door to be manufactured and ready, the installation was done rapidly and efficiently at the time that was convenient for us. We are completely satisfied with both product and service provided by Loyal Seal and will definitely recommend their services to friends and family.

    Windows & Patio Door

quite satisfy with the installation. However, I like to warn other customers to be aware that one of the two installers didn't want to take his shoes off even when he entered the bedrooms which are carpeted with light (bone colour) carpets. At the very least I think the company should supply workers with disposable shoe "covers". This is the part I did not appreciate at all. For this reason I have reservation about recommending the company.

Dear James, Thank you so much for sharing your experience about your installation. We are thrilled that the workmanship and the product met your expectations. According to WSIB, all our workers must wear steel-toe shoes at all times. These are the safety requirements mandatory to all. We put drop sheets on the floors in areas where work is performed, to protect surfaces not just from shoes. Hope you will still enjoy the energy savings and the new look from the new windows installed. Enjoy your summer!

    Patio door and screen

We very much appreciated the respect given to us by the gentleman who installed the doors and his helper. He wasted no time and completed the job perfectly. He showed us how to lock/open and care for the doors. He gave us clear instructions on giving the sealer etc. time to dry and settle. He left the work area perfectly clean. He spoke quietly and clearly. He thanked us graciously and asked that we contact his company should we decide to change our windows etc. assuring us that this new door will benefit us greatly in the winter. We, my sister and I are two 80 year old women and we did not ask for a 20 year guarantee! Thank you.

    Window Replacement

Loyal Seal Window is the worst company that I have ever dealt with (I am a senior so have dealt with many companies). They are self serving and arrogant and blame everything except their own workmanship. Earlier in the year we paid them to replace 4 windows. One of the original windows was leaking and the salesman assured us that a new window was the answer. Based on his presentation we agreed to replace four windows. After the windows were installed, three leaked (two badly) and we called their service department. It was immediately pointed out that there had been earlier leakage with some mould present which we should address. Fair enough - but what about the current leakage. It must be the roof or the siding they said. Call a roofing company or a general contractor was their response. We can't help you. We called in a roof expert - he said no - not the roof. I sprayed water from the hose on the top of one window and it leaked. I reported this to them as this was obviously not from the roof or the siding. Now backed into a corner, they requested the window manufacturer to send a representative to check the problem. A rep came promptly who said the windows were OK and that it was an obvious installation issue. Loyal Seal, on receiving the report, indicated that he was from the manufacturer, knew about windows, but was not qualified to comment about installation. What an insult to him. Why send him in the first place? I knew it wasn't a product problem and I am sure they did as well. Passing the buck again. We can't help you they said again. What a waste of his time and mine. I also had plastic put over the upper portion of the two windows that leaked the most (in desperation). The leakage stopped. Loyal Seal saw videos of the water coming in before and the plastic that stopped it. Rather obvious as to the problem. Never once did they send someone out to check the installation. All they said that it was not their problem. Call a general contractor. I investigated legal action but there would be little monetary benefit if any even if I won. Finally, I paid to have the upper surface of the windows re-caulked properly. All of the leakage stopped. Big surprise! I said it, the roofing expert said it, the window manufacturer said it and the individuals that fixed the problem said it - Loyal Seal did not install the windows properly. Loyal Seal obviously didn't provide any useful comment as they refused to revisit the job site to review their work. I restate - they were so arrogant that they wouldn't even send out a representative to check it out! They should have had a good idea of what the problem was and did nothing. They think they know how to install a window. Not as far as a lot of us are concerned. Beware.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Peter Weaver, We are truly sorry that you feel that our workmanship did not meet your standards. Loyal Seal is changing windows and doors for the past 20 years; it is expertise (not arrogance). The entire wall is black (there is no wood left) and unfortunately you breath that air. Black is mould. Mould is cancerous and can cause asthma and it attracts all kind of creatures that feast on it. It is your choice what you want to do with this fact; you live in your home. You don’t have to take our word for it. Show the pics that were submitted to you to any decent contractor for a second opinion. The person that came into your home (as you stipulate) after us did not remove the window. He just put caulking outside, which has primarily cosmetics reasons (not insulation). There were multiple communications with you including the advice (that you refuse to take). We understand that you were not looking into the expense of changing the wall (we have no interest to promote wall replacement, since we do not deal with it), but changing the window will not solve the fact that your entire wall is rotten and water will continue to come in. Too bad we can’t attach the pics to this response, pics worth 1000 words. We wish you all the best and a good health for years to come.

    Window Replacement

Very happy with the Window and service. Installed on time with no issues. They took the time to walk us through the mechanics of it and the process to remove the screen.
