I am not usually big on taking the time to write reviews but in this case I feel obligated so others can save some time when they have chimney issues. Chris and Jake removed a nest from our chimney as well as some bricks that had fallen in and were stuck. They followed up with a full cleaning and inspection so we are now ready to have fires once again. They were honest, respectful to my family and most of all did amazing work. Metro Chimney just left my house after completing the removal of a basement fireplace and adjoining decorative brick. Amid a sea of contractors who don't respond to inquiries, Chris's quick responses were particularly welcome. He came in with the best price of the companies who quoted for the job and had also been recommended by a friend. The work was completed on time and on budget. The crew was extremely friendly and happy to answer questions about the work. I recommend them without hesitation and hope to hire them again for future masonry work on my home.

We had an issue with a bird making a nest in our chimney which in the end destroyed the inner liner. We made calls to companies in the phone book and were dissatisfied with our original contact. The company we first called, which will remain nameless, pulled everything apart only to tell us they could not fix it OR put it back together. I went to a local blog with a plea for help and Chris and his company, Metro Chimney, came highly recommended. He and his team were able to fit us in on short notice, offered a reasonable and competitive price and did the work quickly and efficiently. The Team was courteous,professional and left the job site clean and put back together. Not only will I use them again in the future but I will also recommend them to anyone in a similar situation as ours.

Our original chimney that is shared with our neighbour was in desperate need to be rebuilt due to the bricks flaking off. After receiving a few estimates and info on what needed to be done, my neighbour and I went with Chris as he was economical and went below the flashing (other companies said they would not, which was were some bricks were flaking as well). They arrived early and completed the demo and rebuild within about 5 hours. We were not looking for aesthetics, just a solid build so we did not go for a fancy brick chimney cap, just a pre-cast. His price was very reasonable and they cleaned up very well. They were also willing to go above and beyond, thus we would recommend Chris.

Chris and his team are very polite and efficient. They did their job in a professional manner and completed their job at the suggested time that were agreed upon . They even managed to find the brick colour that we had( 30 years ago).They even clean up the work place with great care .Daniel

Chris and his team were great about accommodating my schedule as I was eager to try out my new fireplace. They did a thorough inspection, added a rain cap and did a few minor fixes to bring everything up to code. They also took the time to review proper use and make suggestions. I will definitely use them again.

After having three different companies look at my chimney problem I called Chris in despair. He was magnificent in his simple and confident way. Very reliable, he did everything he said he would do and in the time frame he promised he would do it in. Jake, Chris's right hand and fast learner, was very helpful and the job was done quickly and cleanly and it looks great. Chris was fantastic! After years of spending a great deal of money trying to figure out what was wrong with our fireplace, Chris was the first to finally solve the problem. He was great - professional, friendly, kept is simple, practical and clearly was not motivated to 'make work" for the sake of taking my money. I would highly recommend him.

I called Chris to give me his opinion of my fireplace in my 30's era home. The fireplace hadn't been used for years. Chris was completely confident that he could restore the fireplace to its original splendor and he did exactly that. Today we are enjoying wonderful fires.
