    Vapour Barrier In Crawl space

    Needed new vapour barrier in crawl space. Contacted the company to get a free quote. Sales person arrived at the scheduled time, reviewed my requirements and provided a written quote before leaving. A scheduled date and time were arranged. The installation staff did a great job. Quick, Clean and very professional. Removed all old barrier and cleaned up the area. Very Pleased would recommend...

    Attic insulation

    Very impressed with your knowledgeable, friendly staff. Aaron explained what we needed on an individual basis and also put on a slide show in our community centre as a number of homeowners were considering upgrading insulation.(very personable) Tom and Brian arrived to do the job, they were clean and professional before ,during and after work was completed.     Complete chalet renovation

    Renovating a chalet in the Blue Mountans; have spray foamed basement walls to R20; had issues with dampness. All gone; the guys did a great job! they are now coming back to do the rest of the house. Thanks Angelo for the great service.

    small job

    great job from start to finish a pleasure to deal with. I had a very small job to do 200 SQFT in a single car garage although I thought on the high side of pricing for spray foam they came in at the best price and I am glad to have chosen them. excellent job and happy to have it done. I have noticed the difference GNI did for me

    Attic

    Although, I have no idea what my attic looked like before or after because I will not go up there, Brian and Tom came into my home with a friendly professional attitude and made me feel confident in their work. I knew this was right company as soon as I had Angelo come in and give me a quote and explanation of what they will be doing and the product they would be using in my home. Thank you guys for making this a good experience and I would definitely recommend Northern Insulation to anyone.     INSULATION ON A 40+ YEAR OLD HOME

    Recently we renovated our home with new siding, soffit and eavetroughs. During this time it was pointed out that our insulation was inadequate and it was recommended that we have new insulation installed to achieve R50 status. Dustin came to our house and explained what we had and what would be best to achieve maximum performance in all seasons. We were impressed with his knowledge and his down to earth descriptions of the process and the final results. After reading reviews of Great Northern Insulation we were convinced and decided to go ahead with the job. The three men that arrived to do the insulation were fantastic. They explained what they would be doing, took all precautions in covering floors in our house and took the time to do a very thorough job. Dustin did come over while the job was being done to make sure we were satisfied and to answer any questions we had. The workers - Chris, Dave and Mike were excellent and very personable as well. We are more than please with the work performed by Great Northern Insulation and highly recommend this company to anyone looking to insulate their home to current standards.

    New Home

    We engaged Great Northern to do the insulation in our new home under construction of the shores of Georgian Bay. Right from my initial interaction with Angelo in sales the experience has been excellent. They showed up when they said they would, expedited the work in a timely manner and their attention to detailing was exceptional. They also left the site in a clean manner ready for subsequent trades (unheard of these days). Thanks GNR for a great job Jim Middaugh

    Attic Insulation upgrade and venting improvements

    Our 40 yr old house needed improvements to the venting and more insulation in the attic. The Staff we dealt with were all very professional and personable from Richard, who provided the estimate, to the office staff and the two young gentlemen who completed the work. Everything was handled promptly and efficiently and the house was left cleaner than it started. I will highly recommend this Northern Insulation.

    Attic Insulation

    Had GNI come out to the house to inspect/review the attic insulation. They immediately noticed that there were very few air baffles which help improve air circulation inside the attic. After they installed the required baffles and topped up the insulation to R60 we found a significant improvement with thermal comfort on the second floor. Great job! Nick.

    New construction whole house insulation

    This was a new construction. Great Northern Insulation came in to install Spray foam for the crawl space, main floor and second floor as well as the garage. Some of the flat attic areas were supplemented with blown in fiberglass. The most impressive part was the cathedral ceiling spray foam. Everything was arranged and inspected by my great builder at every stage. Overall the job was very professionally done. For this new home we invested heavily on two of the most important areas; heating and insulation. We have in-floor heating throughout the main floor and back up with a traditional high efficiency furnace as well as a heat pump for summer air conditioning. We expect this home to have superior thermal qualities for all seasons. We hope to minimize two things; 1. Heat loss in the winter. 2. Excess heat from the sun in the summer. I cannot wait to test it all out when the home is completed in the fall.
