My husband and I faced a dilemma that many 60 something retirees face...do we sell our family home or update and refurbish it? After weighing all the factors involved with such a difficult decision, we agreed "fixing up the joint" made the most sense. We needed the house painted, top to bottom, all the woodwork including the cabinets refinished, a new shower in the ensuite, new toilets, accessories, countertops, sinks, faucets, hardware, mirrors and reconstruction of our kitchen bay window, and under sink area due to some previous water damage. The next problem was who can do it all, without our supervision, while we are vacationing for two months. After some research and two other estimates, we settled on Independent Bath to get the job done. Everyone thought we were nuts, leaving our home in the hands of an contractor we hardly knew, but Cam and his team at Independent Bath impressed us with their knowledge and professional manner so much, we felt confident leaving the job to them. While away we were in touch several times via email and phone regarding some unexpected problems, but generally they were on their own. We enjoyed our vacation and returned to a brand new shiny, clean, well- appointed beautifully finished home. They replaced all hardware, bathroom fixtures, countertops etc. with excellent products. Our house looked better than we expected, brand new and sillfully appointed. We highly recommend this outstanding company to meet any home renovation needs.

I can't say enough good things about them. They’ve done several things for me-they've renovated my former entire home, and now I’m moving and they’re doing kitchen and bathroom work for me.Their service and quality of workmanship are beyond reproach, they do everything when they say they’re going to do it, and the price is what they initially quoted and that’s rare with contractors.

They did an almost complete renovation on our house and I was very impressed by their professionalism. They stand behind their products, and whatever they quote they follow through with, they service what they do, and if there's anything at all that you want they'll address that too. We've heard such horror stories about renovations but our renovation is not one of them.. I'd give them a 10+!

A friend of ours recommended them because they had a kitchen done by them. They had a good showroom/website and checked out on BBB. Quotes were competitive with another reputable renovator but since they handled everything in-house (no running around to choose product) we went with them. Altogether we’ve had two bathrooms and a basement development done by them. All three renos turned out well in agreed timelines. Their staff were courteous and professional and the quality is there. No problems just a touch up in one of the bathrooms but they came back quickly. We trust them so will use again when we do an addition. A+

Fall-Winter 2008 . Good for design & product choice support. Expensive but quality products. Lots of re-work on workmanship, with limited improvement. Had to re-paint, re-seal, and completely re-do wall tiles. Did re-work without complaint, but were unable to get improved subcontractor quality even with the re-work. Looks fine rom a distance, but not the 'oasis of calm' I intended to spend over 20 grand to create. Friendly throughout though.
