    Sales Communication Lacking

    We enjoy our tub. Looking forward to using it this winter. However, we feel that the sales staff could be more forth coming with customers. Several issues were not communicated which led to misunderstandings.

    AMAZING PRODUCT, AMAZING SERVICE!

    AMAZING PRODUCT, AMAZING SERVICE! When we were looking to invest in a hot-tub, we knew we wanted a solid product that had a good reputation! It is also very important to our family to support local! So of course we stopped in at Sun Ray! The moment we walked in and Graham approached us, we knew we were at the right place! He took his time to help our family make the best decision! But this is not the best part! We got our tub and the installation men were incredible, but we couldn't get the hot tub figured out the evening we went to go use it. Thinking I was just phoning and leaving a message for someone to call me back the next day, to my shock, Graham called and got his service man to give us a call and got us up and running that night at 9:00 p.m. on a Friday night! How awesome is that!!!! That is going above and beyond! Not only that, they follow up with us to ensure we are having no issues! We feel so proud to support a local company that provides an amazing product with amazing service! If you are shopping around for a hot tub, in our eyes, Sun Ray is the only place to go!

    Great service from Blair at SunRay

    Great service once again from Blair the spa technician/magician from Sunray. He pretty much diagnosed it on the phone, but we arranged a service call to make sure everything was in ship shape. Within hours the tub was good to go - just needed to have a few things tightened. He showed me how to do this simple job myself for next time so that I could avoid a service call. I'm just happy that this big investment for my family and I is supported by fast, efficient, and friendly service. Thank you Blair! You're another reason why I'd recommend SunRay to friends and family.

    Hot tub

    We found after viewing many hot tub places that sunrays had excellent product availability. The management listened to our needs and came up with a solution that we all agreed upon

    Loving it 9 years later

    We bought our hot tub from Sunray 9 years ago and have been so happy with it. We use it all the time in the winter, not so often in summer. We have had to have service a few times, but that has been prompt and affordable. This company builds hot tubs to last!

    Service

    We purchased from Sun Ray several years ago and that's a story within itself. We recently needed service and after describing our symptoms over the phone to Don, he advised what he thought the problem was and quoted a cost of approximately $283.95. In order to book a service call, he needed to provide our Visa in advance; which we did. Service was booked several days later. The tech was able come a day early which was appreciated. I called Don later in the day to get a status report and was advised that the tech had fixed the problem but he didn't know the cost at that time. Don later called and said it was about $900. When I inquired about what was done without our consent, he said the tech would call us with details. The tech called later the next day to advise that he replaced the motor and was going to put through on our Visa and was it OK. I told him I disagreed that we were not contacted. When asked why we were not contacted and given a quote before the work was done, he advised that he didn't have a company cell phone and couldn't waste time calling customers. He then advised that he was there a little longer than the hour charged and took $50 off the cost of the pump. He further complained that he had to work on the deck as the hot tub is built into the deck. Don in service was advised of this at the time of booking. From our initial experience purchasing this hot tub to now this service call, we would recommend that if you are in the market for a hot tub to seriously consider looking elsewhere.

    Hot Tub and Hot Tub Supplies

    I originally went to the store to grab some hot tub supplies for a hot tub we were buying elsewhere, and ask some questions. Graham gave us an alternative to our problem by showing us the stores selection of used great quality hot tubs and really helping with our issue. Great help and great service!

    Used Tub Purchase

    My experience at Sun Ray Spas was fantastic, knowledgeable staff who have an excellent understanding of how there manufactured Spa's are made. For Example, Sun Ray Spas are designed to handle Alberta's winters very effectively as they are manufactured right here in Edmonton. High density insulation, solid pressure treated bottom quick and removable jets they are also made for easy servicing(my favorite part). You can buy new or used tubs. Used tubs(which is what i bought) are brought in and completely re-conditioned by Sun Ray. They complete a leak test, pump and heater performance test, refurbish the outside red cedar with and colour you choose. When you are searching for a good quality spa, walk into Sun Ray Spas, they will take you into there manufacturing warehouse and show and explain how each and every tub is made and configured to suit everyone's needs. Once you purchase your tub from them, if you have problems go talk to them, they will meet or exceed your expectations in the service you will provide. They offer in-house warranties as well, and if you have a warranty problem, Sun Ray does not just put a bandage on the problem they replace the entire problem area with new parts so you won't have a problem again. Also they have 30 year warranties on there shells, that tells me, i would be surprised to see a problem with tub cracks etc. Overall, If you want a tub, New or Used, go to Sun Ray, theirs no other place like it in Edmonton!!

    Hot tub

    Not to sure if this will affect anything as the company already has negative reviews against and does not seem to care. Anyway purchased my hot tub from them 4 yrs ago price was right and the sales staff was helpful. Because I live out of town made a ageement that any service work would be done by me and they would just ship the parts. To date I have had to replace the topside controller, circuit board, and now the pump motor is shot. Every time I phone up they keep telling me that it is not under warranty and refuse to do anything about it. When I talked to the service person about the motor he said it had to be serviced every 2 years even though the manual says nothing about the motor end or pump end needing to be serviced. When I pressed him about it he made the snarky comment that they didn't tell him when he bought his car that he had to check his oil but he knew he had to do it. ( by the way got out my truck manual and right in maintenance section it says to check your oil). So if you are thinking of buying a tub I would run away as far as possible from this company as their customer service is non existent.
