Based on internet research, we went to the Etobicoke CAS location to see a specific 30" fridge, slide-in electric stove, exhaust hood, dishwasher, microwave, and side-by-side steam laundry pair.
Daniel T. showed us the exact models or comparable ones they had in the showroom. He explained each appliances' features, indicating which were actually useful. He worked within our budget and our initial appliance choices, never pressuring us. He was great to deal with.
CAS had the best prices for the items we wanted at the time. We ordered all the appliances over two separate purchases with Daniel. Our orders were placed in mid October and mid November 2016. Only one or two items were ready to ship. We didn't need them right away so that worked for us. Daniel emailed us links to the documentation for each of the appliances.
After the orders were placed, I had to frequently call/check online for status updates. The first set of appliances were delivered at the end of December 2016. Ovation, the delivery company, indicated they would arrive between 8am-11am. They called ahead and showed up at exactly 8am, probably because we were their first stop. We picked up the microwave when it was in stock the first week of January 2017. The last set of appliances were delivered late January 2017. Ovation gave a window of 12pm-5pm. I had to call to check their status. They showed up at 7pm, probably because we were their last stop.
Overall, it was a good purchasing experience because we got the exact appliances we wanted, within our budget. Just plan ahead and be ready to order well in advance of when you'll actually need the appliances.
