    New home

    This was my first experience with 'Canadian Appliance Source'. I was extremely pleased with the salesman, Jamie, who helped with showing me the models I was interested in seeing, explaining features that helped me in deciding which ones were best for my needs, and pointed out some comparative models for my consideration. He kindly created a package of 6 appliances with a price I could not resist! This took some time on his part and I appreciated all that was done on my behalf.

    Fridge, dishwasher, stove

    I placed an order on June 26 for a stove, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher. I received several subsequent emails confirming order, delivery dates, and had delivery finalized and confirmed. My credit card was charged the full amount prior to delivery. Delivery day arrives and no fridge was delivered. I called customer service who replied in a courteous but could-not-be-bothered tone “didn’t someone tell you the fridge was discontinued”. I was indeed aware it was last year’s model but I was told, verbally and in writing, the said refrigerator was set aside for me and was in fact in the warehouse. Customer service then tells me “let me transfer you to sales and pick something else”. This is grossly unfair since I had shopped around for the best fridge I could have in my price range and at the stroke of midnight I am told “too bad, pick something else”. It is now Oct 1, a full three months after Canadian Appliances charged my credit card. This for goods they have not delivered. All fairness to Andrei and Daniela who were courteous and perhaps tried to help but I am still without a fridge! In early Sep I picked another model and was told late Sep for delivery. I called late Sep and I was told Oct 19. Moral of the story. Do not buy from this store. You will get a low price but be very, very careful because you will get what you pay for. Do not chase the lowest price at all costs. The frustration, aggravation, and “could not be bothered” attitude will have you regretting big time.

    new home appliances

    Went there yesterday with my sister in law to price appliances (we have been looking around for about a month now) as we are both moving and will be needing all new appliances. When we started looking , Jamie Malamud came over to ask if we had any questions. We had a few for him and he was quite knowledgeable about everything we looked at. At no point was there any pressure. He showed us what we were interested in and if we said we disn't need those features, he just showed us something else. If was so easy going and we were both so pleased the his service that we purchased 6 appliances each then and there. Prices were lower than other stores even when those stores had theirs on sale. As we are both not moving until the springtime they will hold the order until we want it delivered. We went to the Brick afterwards just to compare and not only was there no comparison we are also followed around the store by a salesman that it actually felt that we were being stalked. Would recommend this store to anyone interested in buying appliances.

    Combo washer/dryer

    Did my research on line, found CAS, met Dave , the rep, and bought the Ariston all-in-one washer/dryer. Dave was knowledgeable, and forthright, gave me a great price, made arrangement for delivery and set-up. All in under 15 minutes! Canadian Appliance Source is my new go-to place for all my household appliance needs!!

    New House Kitchen Appliances

    We went to have a look at the actual products - rather than only on websites. Dave Thomas helped us, he is an expert - and super friendly and awesome to boot! Ended up buying all our appliances here - at the best rates! We are ecstatic!

    kitchen appliance

    I bought set of three kitchen appliances from Ravi Kohli, I came across this place from my friend who was very happy with his purchase from this store, I did my shopping before visiting the store but they were able to give me the best price in the market. All the products very in stock and my delivery is scheduled for next week.

    Washer and dryer

    The worst possible customer service. We purchased a washer and dryer on the 21st of August from Canadian Appliance Source. We had a great experience with George as our salesperson. He was helpful and very pleasant. Upon delivery of our washer and dryer On the 4th of September, the dryer was dented and the company had to take the unit back. We were initially very understanding. My husband spoke to Cash (so?) who confirmed our delivery would be the following Sunday between 9-12. After 12 pm my husband to called to say we hadn't received our dryer. The customer service representative told us that we couldn't have it that day and they could not accommodate another delivery until Monday the 21st! After much resistance we accepted that this was the best the company was willing to offer. We were told that they would try to make the delivery in the evening as we both work and had initially planned for a Sunday delivery. Now we're told that delivery will be on the 21st between 9- 12 and cannot be rerouted! Despite their many errors and our inconvenience this company continues to provide substandard customer service. From an initial pleasant experience with their sales team to their lack of customer-centred customer service staff, we will never shop at or recommend this store again.

    Bought a new gas stove

    This company has a splendid show room and extremely pleasant sales people, (we liked George, our helpful sales 'associate') but watch out! Once they have your money, they're gone. I bought a new stove in July and expected delivery in two weeks after paying in full for the stove and delivery. When I heard nothing, I phoned, and was told the delivery was delayed. I went on vacation and, on return, phoned again, and I was told to expect a further two week delay. This company never once contacted me...I had to keep pestering them and being put on hold for long times. Finally, when it became clear that the next two week delay was "only an estimate", I cancelled my order and asked for my money back...and some compensation for the inconvenience, which they refused. Excuse me, why exactly would I give Canadian Appliance Source an interest-free two-month loan on $1500? Shoddy, shabby business practices. I'll never go back. Exercise caution when shopping there.

    Service was appalling prices were great.

    I chose CAS after long searching for their prices. I also thought Gary was a good a salesperson. In the end he did his job, stayed true to his company, did not go above anything for the customer and nothing more. Like I said great pricing. I bought these appliances months ahead for a new build only to be told two weeks prior sorry we are not in your area. Only the day I was getting my keys and then not again for another 6 days! I live in barrhaven not the outskirts not sure why the big restrictions would have been nice to been told this information rather than the " no worries we have great delivery times" . After a lot if back and forth I was finally told I could get my appliances on the day I originally wanted but I would have to pay an additional 50$ . I am still beside myself that a company I spent 6400$ with was not willing to put up 50$ to satisfy their customer! Truly disgusting. But I paid as I have children to feed and was threatened with no refrigerator etc for a week! The worst part when these men came they refused to remove any of the appliances from the boxes, refused to remove their footwear inmy brand new home and dragged my refrigerator in its box across my new hard wood floor! Not sure if anyone has removed a refrigerator in a house from its box. Not easy. These people have no care at all and take no responsibility. Worst part I let them rob me of more money by buying their warranty. Please god I hope I never have to use. Only word is appalling.

    Dishwasher

    I bought a GE dishwasher (GDT696SSFSS) on Sept 02. Prices at CSA was the cheapest in Ottawa area. Picked it up on Sept 09. Dishwasher was plug in and the first trial, the machine was leaking form the back (damaged!!). The worst is when contacted CSA, they referred us to GE to get it fixed while we did not want to keep this unit. they promised us they will try to help but did no thing, even the phone number that they provided to us did not exist. Called the store and no one returned our calls.
