    Windows and Screens

We had Ontario Aluminum and Glass install all our windows when we did a full reno of our house over ten years ago. Besides two windows showing some condensation just recently, all windows have held up well. We also had the screen portion of our screen door custom made by the company which withstood ten years of winters and our children's rough handling. It's amazing it lasted as long as it did. When it came time to replace the screen, the friendly staff at Ontario Aluminum did it in a snap. Excellent service from an A-1 family run business and one that I'd recommend.

    Delay installation date

This company came recommended by a friend. Tony came out to quote the project and he seemed very knowledgable and competent. The wait for our door/install was lengthy - but we decided to wait it out. No problems there. The invoice was very vague. I called and insisted that the details Tony had mentioned during the quote were added before signing and paying the deposit. I called to confirm the installation because we wanted to make sure one of us was home for the install. They confirmed with us for Friday at noon. My partner arranged to have the day off (without pay). At four o'clock the day before they called to cancel the install - insisting that the job they were in the midst of would take them an extra two days. It was too late for my partner to reclaim the day (so we lost income there for no reason) and I explicitly told the sectary that the company was pretty flakey for giving us very little notice. She was very offended by this statement - to which I pointed out that if the job they were in the midst of needed an extra two days worth they should have been able to figure that out much sooner than 4PM the day before our job. They have, as she stated, been in the business for 30 years. The door was done well - except they built it on top of a drain grate that we can now no longer lift of up to clean. So that's a bit of an issue.

    Perfect from start to finish

We recently installed a new door for our Seaton Village home from Ontario Aluminum and Glass. From the selection process to the paperwork to the install to the fair price, it was a pleasure working with this company. I highly recommend them!

    new windows

Ontario Aluminum did an awful job when they installed windows into my home. They cracked the walls in my house and the windows were very low quality. Their service was brutal as they were supposed to replace the windows but they never returned. Once in a while pieces of my window fall off and I must fix it myself. Lastly, I made it clear that I had wanted a french door. Since that instalment would be of a more difficult nature he told me that a door would be better. He went and installed what he had wanted and I am still unhappy with that decision. I would never return or recommend this company to anyone!

    French doors and one window

From the moment Frank arrived for the estimate, to the moment my new French doors and window were installed, I have been completely satisfied. Excellent service and product. Perfectly installed. Will definitely use this company in the future.

    windows and doors, supply/ install

I had a terrific experience with Ontario Aluminum and glass. I called them after I saw their lawn sign on my street, on a good looking installation. The estimator, Frank, who came out to my house was great to work with. We had a follow up meeting in the shop, where he showed me samples and patiently talked through all my questions. The installers arrived right on time and everything was as specified. The crew foreman talked through each condition with me before starting (it's an old house with lots of querks). I very much appreciated their conscientious approach - they didn't just jam them in and leave, they asked all the right questions. They did a great job tidying up and were polite and nice guys. I'm very surprised at the negative reviews. I will acknowledge that these are not 'Cadillac' products, but they are perfectly adequate, and the price was exceptional. Anyone who thinks they are getting high-end European windows for this price is delusional. I would recommend Ontario Aluminum and Glass to anyone looking for average quality windows/ doors with a very high quality to cost ratio.

    windows and door

We had the company install several items in a home renovation, such as windows and doors. Most of the installations were of adequate quality. However, one door was improperly fitted, and the installation was also done poorly. The door leaked and caused significant damage. It took the company long to respond. They would make an appointment and then not show up. Eventually they came. But the door is still improperly installed. I would not recommend this company.

    FRENCH DOORS

I would like to report an extreme poor and dishonest costumer service about this company. I purchased a number of windows and doors from this company. The quality was adequate, not the best, however, the main issue was the French doors that I ordered. I beleive that I was treated in this manner because I am a woman, but who knows. I repeatedly complanined to the owners about the defective doors, but to no avail. I came to the realization, that they lacked honesty and were not honourable with their word. Obviously, I found out the hard way, by being left with 2 french doors that were delivered to my house defective and already rusting when they are approx. 6 months old. I am not sure whether I was treated in this manner because the company (male run) has no respect for women, or they are simply unethical in their conduct. Yes, I was aware that this was a cash deal and they did not have to report their sales to Revenue Canada ( approx. $5000.00 worth), but as a business, they should have at least the curtsey of ensuring the products sold are at least functional and not damaged. The ongoing misleading promises made by the owner that he would address the issues and the ongoing several appointments made by him, which none were followed through with the exception of one time, which was a total failure and nothing was fixed, was perhaps the most difficult to comprehend. To this date, I have not received an apology or an acknowledgement of selling me a defective product. Beware of purchasing anything from this company.
