    Security System Install at Business

    I have recently used Price's Alarm for a set up at my business in Vancouver. Marc Spiess was my sales rep who discussed various options with me and help to finalize the security plan. I was very impressed with the process from start to finish as the transition from sales to installation was pain free, and seamless. Marc is also very professional, and knowledgeable about their products and services. Their staff have been extremely reliable and great at communicating to customers. Highly Recommend!

    Change Alarm system from previous owners of our house

    Tech came on time as requested and did the required work. He also repaired the control panel in the bedroom which the previous owners had damaged. He did not have an Owners Manual but Price's emailed me a copy later.

    Sue Laughlin @ Prices Alarm Courtenay

    Sue Laughlin, at Prices Alarms in Courtenay, is amazing and totally takes care of her clients all the way through from the Quote to the Alarm installation. and beyond. She gives over the top customer service and will ensure all is ok, no matter what. I got my Alarm installed during this winter when we had way too much snow and she ensured all worked out. Even though see had to come out after a major snow fall. WOW! I would say that you have to call her if you want to be taken care of! Period! The only recommendation I would have is to ask Sue to ensure, you must ask because it is not up to her, to have a seasoned and experienced technician install your Alarm. Regardless, she will be there for you no matter. I am super duper satisfied with her being my contact and am more than happy she was there for me! Call her if you want an Alarm installed. Also, Prices Alarms has been monitoring my system and they have been excellent dealing with! I am a happy happy customer. Thanks, Dionne

    Home security system

    My wife and I had the pleasure in dealing with Mike Smith from Prices Alarms.Mike was up front and honest with us,offering us a security system that best suited are needs.He wasn't pushy at all.Very knowledgeable and professional.After meeting with Mike,we didn't feel the need to call the competition back.Thanks Mike Smith

    Stay away from Prices in Kelowna

    Terrible install, they didn't get it going for 2 weeks and since then I have issues and they won't come fix it. Keep taking my money even though we have cancelled with them twice or more..$190 every six months. I can't even get a tech to call me to fix the system, waited six months at least and of course when our credit card was expiring they were anxious to talk to us. The lady was very nice, apologized over and over. Promised someone in Kelowna would come and fix the system..noone ever did, we since went with a new alarm company. Another 6 months payment was due on February 1 and on January 18 another lady called assuring me that the account would be cancelled..It went out yesterday from my visa..NEVER let these guys in your accounts..send them a cheque monthly so you can control your own money...My only choice now is small claims. Prices provided terrible service and won't even call you.

    We regret to hear that you had an unhappy experience. Our records indicate that we resolved the issues shortly after your installation was completed back in 2014. The only other issue on file before you cancelled your account was a system communication error that resulted when you forwarded your landline to your cell phone. Once the call forwarding was removed, the alarm system was successfully able to communicate to the Price’s Alarms 24 hour Response Centre. Regarding the frustrations trying to cancel your service, as discussed on the phone, please recall that you signed a 36 month service agreement in order to get a substantial discount on the price of the alarm system equipment and installation and the payment in question was the part of the service term. We wish you well and thank you for your business.

    Took our system over from Border Security

    Were unmotivated to help us out with service after taking over from Border. They billed for hours and got absolutely NOTHING done. They were tarty, wasted time, unknowledgeable when It came to equipment, and expensive.

It's unfortunate that you decided to post negative online reviews only a couple of days after sending us an email outlining your concerns (without giving us enough time to look into and address your concerns). While it's often challenging for another company to step in and support the equipment and installations from another business, we have resolved the issues you've brought forward and feel we have been very accommodating and extremely reasonable in regards to any charges; deeply discounting and even waiving multiple service calls. In February, we attended and investigated an issue you were having with remotely logging into your camera system from your phone. It's best practices to have a monitor connected to a video recorder as a back up to your phone. This assists greatly in troubleshooting and fixing any issues. Because you didn't have a monitor on site connected to the camera system (and couldn't provide us with the login/password), we couldn't troubleshoot further and suggested you contact your IT guy to look into network settings. Even though we didn't install the camera system, we credited this call as a goodwill gesture. In October, you contacted us to request assistance in arming your alarm system. We attended, fixed your flood sensor and retrieved your alarm code that you had forgotten. Again, we attended and didn't charge as a goodwill gesture. Even after resolving this issue, your response was to request a further credit because you hadn't been using the alarm system for a couple of months prior to getting around to contacting us and reporting the problem. We denied this request. Also in October, you requested we attend to integrate the alarm system with your home automation system. In order to accommodate this request, we had to purchase a special order communication module and the cell module needed to be upgraded (as your alarm panel had limited outputs). We installed the necessary parts and worked with your audio/visual company to integrate the alarm with the home automation system. We regret that our tech got delayed by 1 hour and showed up late to meet your A/V company (and we subsequently reduced the invoice by 1 hour). Please understand that your monthly fee currently is only for 24 hr alarm monitoring services and does not currently include warranty services. It also does not cover any additions or system alterations you wish to make going forward. We do have warranty service plans available and can discuss options should you be interested. Regarding the camera system, it's true that some manufacturers offer a 5 year warranty on parts. However, simply fixing or replacing a part may not address the issue if the issue is caused by settings on the your router or how your network is configured. Furthermore, the manufacturer may test the unit, determine it's working and simply return it without making repairs. We look forward to the opportunity to resolve these issues

    Joke

    This company is a Joke, Sales lady came around in Comox, we discussed what was required and set a date for install. When the installer arrived he didn't want to install where we had discussed. Decided to install in his own location ultimetaly leaving the wall he choose with holes when I told him no. Didn't even show up with his own computer to program system, need to use mine the customer. Turns out no one their seems to have a clue, second building isn't communicating with the main unit in the house. Get error indications all night long and they tell me they need to charge me to return to fix it. I've have schedule appointment tomorrow, was looking at Visa balance today trying to pay off monthly balance and noticed a charge for 180 dollars. Completely zero notice or reason as to whats this is for. They phoned me today and confirmed the appointment without mentioning anything about charges. They are a joke, happy to provide a terrible install that never worked in the first place but are happy to charge extra for coming around and trying to fix their garbage in the first place. GO FIGURE!

    Home and Retail location

    I contacted Prices Alarms for a monitoring system for my home and was so impressed with the service that when it came time to alarm my business there was only one logical call to make, so I called Rene and his team at Prices.

    Video

    Very satisfied. System is fabulous, wireless system monitoring on the front gate access to the property, basically everyone is aware on entry security is identifying make and model of every vehicle that comes onto the property. Has had a positive impact on my overall sense of security and peace of mind. Have perceived a sharp decline in drive by interest on my property.
