    Lost keyboard

I was extremely disappointed when I found out they "lost" my full size musical keyboard. When I approached them about the issue, I was told I only had 7 days to make a claim. I contacted them 2 weeks after we moved in because my husband had a medical emergency 3 days after our move, in addition to trying to unpack the whole house with 2 small children under the age of 4. I find 7 days to unpack and entire house of boxes (3 floors) ridiculous. Anyhow, they said they would look for it, but of course it was never found. How is something that size lost? Despite not being able to make a claim because 7 days had passed, I still felt that a report should have been filed about the issue. It's not like I said I lost a plate; they misplaced my 400$ + keyboard. Furthermore, as I was unpacking I was disturbed to find that they had packed my computer printer in a box with painting supplies (just one of many odd packing combos) and the box labeling was terrible (ex: 'basement books' there was one book in the box, the rest was all computer supplies). When I had the original meeting with them, before I signed the paperwork, they came across as a great company, but as soon as I had an issue, I felt like they just pushed me aside and said 'nothing we can do'. I don't recommend them.

    Worst move ever.

Worst move. I got an estimate of $365 and was given a 9am start. Got a call the night before moving the start to the afternoon. The movers left part of my couch behind (I had to go get it and put the couch together myself) , almost left without putting my bed together and complained a lot, very unprofessional . They also dropped one of my speakers off the truck, badly damaging it. The final bill was almost $700. When I complained and asked about the speaker I was told they would replace it if I paid an additional $250 to cover THEIR deductible. After complaining to the Better Business Bureau they offered to wave the deductible, but said the overcharge stays. Now, more than two weeks later I have not heard a thing from them.

    Moving

Terrible experience. Up front consultations were excellent, instilling a sense of professionalism and confidence persuading us to choose Kings over others. The estimate was far outside of the actual time to do the work and the cost was nearly double the estimate. Disappointed that there's no accountability on their part to meet their estimate leaving the responsibility all on me. In short, the estimate really didn't mean anything. Work crew was okay with minimal damage to possessions and property.

    Relocation / Move

King's went the extra mile for my move from Ottawa to the United States. I was lucky to have Wes, the operations manager, and Derek help move a lot of large, heavy furniture from a compact townhome, refusing to give up on difficult pieces that other movers would have shrugged and abandoned. When I missed an important detail in the contract indicating that the delivery could take a week or more, Wes, Kyle, and the team worked hard to get the delivery expedited through another carrier rather than have me sitting around an empty house for a week because of my own dumb mistake. Everything was handled with a great deal of care, and Wes stood behind every promise made along the way. Kyle was available to take my calls, even early on a weekend morning, and sincerely cared about how things were progressing. Honestly, King's took really good care of me, and I would both use them again and recommend them to anyone performing long-distance move.

    Move

Just finished a move from Ottawa to Calgary with Kings Transfer and give special thanks to Kyle, Mike, Rob, and everyone else (sorry didn't catch all the names) for hassle free, professional, and friendly service. I've heard some horror stories about some moves, but Kyle and Mike have made this process seamless as well as open (the costs and process was all up front and candid everything was explained and everything was documented no surprises) and the communication was continuous and clear with both the coordinator Kyle and driver Mike (I apologize for all the calls by the way), Mike and the movers where friendly punctual and went above and beyond as far as helping a first time provincial mover with labeling as well as disassembling some items I did not have the tools for and repacking some important items to make sure they weren't damaged. Glad I made the call service was excellent, the team was great to work with and they genuinely cared, I've recommend them to all my family and friends and they have my future business thanks again Kyle, Mike and the team!

    Moving

Kings transfer sent 3packers. 2 were absolutely horrible. They stuffed in small boxes expensive clothes and sweat on them. They actually folded works of original art ( yes unbelievable ) , they damaged silk shades and floral arrangements. They banged up my walks and damaged furniture. My compensation was 18.00 dollars! With no true apology beware. I would never recommend them based on how they handled our problems.

    Service

Kings Transfer handled my move from Ottawa to Toronto. I had a wonderful expierence from start to finish, the packing crew handled my items with extreme care the crew was very proffesional. The sales rep Mr.Deschambault was very informative and helpful with all my questions and concerns. The administration lady Tara was also great dealing with me during this stressful time. I did have a small table that was damaged in the move, however it was fixed within the next week. Overall i had a great expierence with Kings Transfer and would most definatly recommend their services!! Dalton J
