The staff at Student Works are so professional and friendly. Their unsolicited quote was much appreciated and they were the lowest quote as well. They finished on time. I will definitely use them again!

HIRED TO HELP PAINT HOUSE - INERIOR AND EXTERIOR. VERY GOOD JOB DONE. PAINTED 3 TIMES. QUALITY OF PAINT WAS GOOD. WORKMANSHIP WAS GOOD AND ETAILED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMNEND THIS COMPANY IF YOU NEED AN LARGE PAINTING DONE TO YOUR HOME. MY WIFE AND I ARE HAPPY WITH THE RESULT. PAINTERS WERE NICE AND CONSIDERATE TO REQUESTS.

We were given an estimate by a student works wrep in April 2010. We were given the assurance that ALL prep. work would be complete prior to painting. On a very rainy morning two students that we believe never painted a day in their life started painting.What a mess. We asked the two to leave and come back when the weather was more appropriate. There are the reasons why we would NOT recommend Student Works Paintin: 1)Prep work was NOT complete this caused the wood to blister only after a couple of months 2)All the windows were painted shut.When we forced open pulled OFF paint and wood. 3)Paint was on the stucco.Paint was on the windows.Paint was dripped on the deck. 4)No clean up was ever done.We were responsible for all cleanup including the mud. 5)The warrenty is in such fine print it is impossible read.If the pay't is not made in full even if the job is unsatisfactory there is NO warrenty .

We received a few quotes from various companies. When we had student painters come out to provide us with a quote, we were very pleased with their professionalism. They did a wonderful job painting the exterior of our home.

came in to clean and paint our 5 level split house. Did a great job! Job came in on time, on budget, with excellent results. Repaired cedar siding and touch ups as well! Cleaned up after themselves well.called about one missed spot, and it was handled promptly!

The whole process working with studentworks was mediocre at best. I saw a sign in the neighborhood and gave them a call for a free estimate. It took over a week for them to get back to me and when we made an actual appointment, they were a no-show with a lame excuse. While their painting job wasn't a disaster, it certainly wasn't top quality work. They didn't do a very good pre-scraping/sanding job, our windows were stuck, & they left garbage on our property for us to deal with. Our garage, which was a stain job, had to be re-done, and the final product is still sub-standard in our opinion. The only saving grace is that they guarantee their work for 3 years. I may have to call them within that time.

I will never use or recommend Student Works again. I had 2 decks stained by them August 2007 in Fort McMurray, Alberta for $4076 this included the stain(General Paint)and supplies. By July 2009 the horizontal surfaces had peeled excessively. After many phone calls to the Alberta rep.and the Vancouver main branch I got nothing but excuses and I was told that there is no warranty for decks. I had to prep and restain both decks again at my own expense. I am not impressed.

They missed the framing around windows and we couldn't open windows as a result of the paint (windows were stuck). The paint applied to balcony started coming after only a year, and although the crew were nice, they we're not very professional. They would work for three days here and there, but took four months to complete a job that should've been complete in a couple weeks.

We were told the house would take two days to complete. It actually took almost two months to complete. The first day they worked they did a horrible job and spent the majority of the other days just fixing that. Twice they spilled paint all over the road in front of our house. Twice they went to continue painting the house only to find they had the wrong color paint. They oversprayed paint onto the ceiling of our carport then tried to deny it was from them (it was the same color paint as the house!!). Everytime they would come back to finish it off they would leave spots behind that needed to be fixed. They asked us for payment before the project was done to cover their payroll and this was after two weeks of no one showing up to finish the job! It was one big hassle from the beginning. They would constantly drop by unannounced, once right in the middle of a family BBQ and then expect us to make time to go over everything with them. I would NEVER use this company again and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. DO NOT HIRE!

no prep work done- contract stated pressure wash, scrape, sand, fill, caulk, puddy. Did not wipe off dust. My husband & I spent a full day doing majority of the prep work. The crew in a hurry to get to the next job scheduled 2 days to paint 1 1/2 storey home. Missed areas, only 1 coat of paint on some areas of the house, paint all over the yard, on the carpet, windows were not cut in, paint on soffits & facia - a real mess! When I hired this contractor I was assured that I would get a professional job done - NOT! Painting is 99% prep work & balance is the painting which any fool can do. I have pictures to show what kind of job they do.
