This was a major restoration/renovation of an older house involving plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, windows, furnace etc. Eli was great to work with. Answered all questions promptly; worked within a very tight budget and on time. Highly recommend.

We began the journey of renovating two upstairs bathrooms working with Gerhard who connected us with Charlotte the designer. They were both fantastic to work with. Nadia and her team actually did the Reno work. The team were fast, courteous, neat and very meticulous with their work. I would definitely work with HIP again!

We first called the Home Improvement People to deal with a bathtub that was leaking through the floor. We met with Jerry who walked us through the plan, gave us a detailed list of what we would need to purchase (tiles/bathtub/vanity etc.) and expected price of the job. Most companies we had talked to at this point had given us rough quotes over the phone - Jerry actually showed up, looked at the place, took measurements, listened to our plan, and then gave us a quote. Already a win. We decided to go with them right away. The timeline was expected to be 2 weeks to completely gut the bathroom and redo it. Jerry showed up every morning by 9am and cleaned up after himself on the way out. He offered suggestions on adjustments to make as we finalized our remodel. He also pointed out an issue with the tiles we had purchased (too porous for a bathroom) and suggested alternatives. Once complete, the bathroom looked amazing. We still love it! When we started a small laundry room reno, the Home Improvement People were the first ones we reached out to. We had a small all-in-one unit (no venting, 110v) and wanted to get rid of it, and install a new stacked washer/dryer (external venting + 220) and add a small sink in a different location. We managed to work with Jerry again, and once again he more than delivered! The work was done incredibly quickly (within the week), and for a price that was definitely in our budget. Once again he showed up and began work by 9am and cleaned up after himself nightly. For all future projects, the Home Improvement People have definitely made it to the top of our list.

The Home Improvement People, HIP, had done a bathroom renovation for us last December. We were thrilled with the results and wanted a refresh for our kitchen. Philip and Charlotte came to see us, and we explained what we were looking for. A quote was presented that included a design phase once the agreement was signed. We asked to do things a little different which they agreed to. We paid for the design separate so were able to pin down what we were looking for and then cost that out. Charlotte had listened and then there was a little back and forth, but we were really excited about the concept. Unlike many kitchens that have stainless steel appliances with painted wood cabinets, we went with matte white appliances and a bleached maple construction. The only downside was things in the renovation market are very busy, so construction didnt begin right away. However, once it did, everything was basically as they said it would be. Im not going to mention names, for fear of missing someone, but I will talk about Larry who was the project manager. He has folks within the trades that he insists upon for his jobs and that was a bonus for us. First, we had the crew that did the demo and many other important tasks along the way, then folks for electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, flooring, tiling, ventilation and microwave installation and countertops. Basically 4 to 5 weeks and things were done. Only part we did, other than buying the appliances, sink and backsplash was the painting. That was something we were able to do around different segments of the work. Had one minor bump along the way that HIP was very quick to rectify. Would we use them again, definitely. Would we recommend them to friends also definitely. Thank you Charlotte and Larry and everyone else who had a part in giving us our new kitchen.

HIP renovated our principle (and only) bathroom to the studs and back again! Beautiful job, helpful suggestions, great attention to detail, and they cleaned up every night to make it functional. Gerhard, Daniel and his team were a fantastic, pleasant team to work with and we will definitely ask for them for our next big renovation project when we move to a condo.

Big thanks to The HIP! I had this company renovate my WHOLE house. We are so happy that we picked The HIP to be our contractor. Biggest thanks goes to Danny. Danny was the site supervisor and did most of the work on the house. He did a great job handling this place and worked tirelessly to make it look good. Others include Elia & Charlotte. Everyone did their part to contribute and make sure my renovation got done well. Thanks team! Elia was great to work with. Solid guy. He made things very to the point and easy for us - which is exactly my style. We are very pleased and are in good spirits.

The positive experiences of others with the Home Improvement People (HIP) documented on this site, led us to arrange for a consultation for a long-delayed renovation of our main bathroom and kitchen. The estimate was within our budget and we proceeded with the first phase, involving the main bathroom. This is now complete and we are extremely happy with the result. We are anticipating a similar experience with the second phase, the kitchen based on HIP's approach to date. Our project manager, Charlotte has expertly guided us throughout the process and her recommendations have been prescient. The staff - office and trades are the embodiment of professionalism, excellence and good communication. A true team approach - much appreciated.

We had a major home renovation completed by Home Improvement people. This reno consisted of a main floor transformation which required the removal of a structural wall to create an open concept kitchen, dining room and living room space. Overall we are extremely happy with the results. All of the team from the designer, main contractor, to an array of different skilled workers were very friendly and professional. Our home feels and looks like a new home and so we highly recommend Larry and his team. 

The Home Improvement People did a fantastic job on our renovation! We have an older Toronto home. It was a larger project that involved converting an office into a bathroom, adding a sliding door, completely renovating the kitchen, updating the fireplace, etc. What we appreciated most was that the project was done within a reasonable timeframe, there was work going on fairly consistently, and they were great at communicating and responding to questions. The final result looks really great. Thank you!
