    lights out in only part of the house area

    We have a very old house with twist-in type fuses. The power went out in only 1/2 the house area, other half was fine, yet both were on the same fuse. Some rooms had power, yet others did not. I called Captain Electric and their response was immediate. Dave came out to the house within the day & surveyed the situation. He took only minutes to diagnose that the system's faulty old wiring started an electrical fire down stairs in the ceiling area, while the actual cause of this shorting out was upstairs. There was an electric heater upstairs that had shorted out and actually traveled through the wires to an overhead downstairs lightbulb, &caused the wires to burn downstairs. Since it was the wiring that was smoldering, it was not visable unless you removed the ceiling tiles, but there is was, burnt chared wires that could have caused a house fire had Dave not detected it. It was pure genius on his part to be able to find this behind the ceiling tiles, and to look downstairs,remove the ceiling tiles and find the burnt wires in a light socket that was working! - you would think that because it was working, that it was fine, but it wasn't, and it would be just a matter of time before it would have started a fire. Dave is extremely knowledgeable& I doubt anyone could have detected this so quickly. It was very impressive, and saved our lives I believe. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave /Captain Electric to anyone. I am extremely pleased with his services. It was his years of experience that enabled him to diagnose and fix the problem as quickly as he did. Wonderful person to deal with, he is quick & efficient, and he explains everything in a very easy to understand manner. The receptionist is very nice and helpful as well. Great company to deal with. You will be glad you called. We have some more work that needs tending to, and we will definitely be calling Captain Electric again.

    Fan installation

    We bought a Modern Fan Company fan. The first fan did not work, despite two expensive visits from a different electrical company. We obtained a replacement fan. Captain Electric quoted the job, arrived on time, packed up the old fan for reshipping and installed the new fan quickly and professionally with a one year warranty. I will be using them again.

    Install 3 ceiling fans

    Had 3 ceiling fans installed by Kevin and Ryan. They treated me and my home with utmost respect. The job was done in a timely manner and no mess! Ryan even brought my empty garbage can to the back of the house for me before they left....great service and I know it has been done properly by trained professionals!! Will be using them again to install a surge protector. Have recommended them to a friend and absolutely recomend them to anyone reading this.

    Troubleshoot no power to Vanity light

    Dave was very patient and good at explaining the problem to make sense to someone who don't know much about electrical work especially on old complicated wiring

    Ceiling Fan and 2 outdoor GFCI receptacles

    Very professional, friendly and diligent. Would recommend them without hesitation. Call them now - do not wait.

    Electrical work

    Each time we called captain electric they were able to do the work Quickly. The last time was time sensitive as we were moving in a couple days and they were able to help us right way. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and efficient

    Electric

    I got in touch with Captain Electric about my breaker tripping and was contacted by them almost immediately, their electricians Dan & Cody exceeded my expectations, and that I am 100% satisfied. They were courteous,& professional, cleaned up after the job was completed and wore shoe covers. Yes I would recommend and use them again with any other issues I might have in the future. They arrive on time and answered all my questions as clearly as they could so I understood everything they were doing and why

    Lights replacement

    Very prompt and professional, the technician gave us very good advice and recommendation. They really took time to discuss with us for our potential problems and which needs action now. The service is really with good value. Definitely we will call this company again if we need electrical technician.

    circuit not working

    Prompt and courteous. Unfortunately, for me, the technician actually discovered the problem almost immediately, but, the recently installed panel had been mislabeled by the electrician who put it in (not Captain Electric). There had been a GFI put in at the box (for the circuit that was not working) and when that failed, no current was available to that circuit. There was no reason for the GFI to have been put in, as a GFI already existed for the bathroom that they had marked (incorrectly) Because the problem was not matched up with the circuit it was on, the C.E. technician did a single circuit diagnosis ($283). So, it cost me over $200 more than if the failed GFI had initially been removed.
