    Electrical Services

    I have called Captain Electric twice now into my home and I have to make a point of this; Dave (electrician) is a real pro and an absolute pleasure to deal with. There are many other electricans on staff who have been complimented by other clientele (online reviews) but I'm obviously starting this review in a biased state. Oh well, here goes! Being a Durham, Ontario resident there are many electrical companies I could have called, but a simple Google search made my decision that much easier. (And Brian who answered my phone call at Captain Electric!) When I called to have RG6 cable run through my basement to an LCD television, options seemed bleak due to the duct work and structure of my finished basement. But Dave persisted and was able to manage a run from the T.V. to the incoming coaxial cable line without breaking a sweat. A more important point I'd like to make is that before Dave started his work on the first occasion to my home, he took the time to explain thoroughly, the expectations his company has of him (code of conduct), the services they offer, a printed copy of his license to operate within the province of Ontario among other various documentation attesting and relating to the nature of Captain Electrics modus operandi. The professionalism, coupled with the sincere and focused approach to customer service and high quality of work mimics that of a great piece of artwork that stands the test of time. I encourage you the reader, to compare/contrast the differences between electrical firms in the G.T.A., but will offer this much; Captain Electric is a wonderful business to deal with in my personal opinion and will continue to speak volumes of their company to friends and family in need of their services.     Repaired wiring for a wall sconce

    Friendly service over the phone when booking appointment. Good service, arrived on time and resolved issue. This was the 2nd time we used Captain Electric. No complaints. Brent C - Whitby

    Electrical outlets not functioning

    we had this peculiar problem where all the bedroom electrical outlets stopped working although the light switches were working. I tried everything from restting the CGFI circuits to turning on and off the master power switch. Nothing worked. I called the Captain electric to have someone drop by and take a look. A nice gentleman by name "Enrico" offered to walk me on the phone and get this problem taken care off before coming over in person. He went through a checklist over the phone and got to the root of the problem in a jiffy. presto! all the outlets started working. The solution was simple but could have been expensive. The cost for me was Zero. Thanks very much and i would very likely use them for any future electrical issues with no hesitation. cheers Ray, ajax.

    Electrical

    We called to get advice on an electrical problem - - the company very kindly advised us what was wrong and that we did not need any service at this time. They were very helpful and we really appreciated it.

    Home electrical services

    Approximately 1 week ago, the ceiling fan in our bathroom quit. Based on a previous positive experience with Captain Electric, I requested their help again. The electrician (Dave) who came to the house was extremely professional, polite and customer centric. He removed the (very) old fan and sourced a same-size replacement for it within 2 days. Dave also took the time to provide advice on a kitchen renovation that we're contemplating. I would heartily recommend this company to anyone.

    Electrical repair work

    I would highly recommend Captain Electric. I called them in to fix a wiring problem and they responded to my inquiry right away and booked my appointment in a timely manner. The electrician called to let me know he was on his way, and arrived right at the time I had requested. He was courteous, helpful and was quickly able to fix my problem. I also really liked the fact that all employees are carefully screened with police checks and drug checks so that you can feel comfortable letting them into your home. I will certainly use them again and would definitely recommend them to others.

    complete installation of light fixtures in condo

    Dan and Kevin rrived on time and set to work immediately. The protect all floors and furniture. The quick, thourough and fficient. Dan go called away to a job of the previous day were he was to wire in a hot tub. the ESA inspector was a no show on that day but now he was the house and Dan returned to finish all the connections for the hot tub, I found that comforting that he still felt yesterday's appointment was not yet completed. Kevin his apprentice continued to work. Upon his return Dan went over all the work Kevin had done.

    rewire portion of circuit and 100 amp panel & service upgrade

    Captain Electric is the best company we have ever done business with. They are professional, reliable and put the customer first. We could not have asked for a better experience. If you need electrical work done....this is definitely the company to call. Thanks guys...you were awesome.

    repairs to lamp ballast and installation of GFI outlet

    We found Captain Electric in the Yellow Pages and after an introductory conversation with Bob we were certain that we had made a good choice. When Enrico arrived (called in advance and arrived precisely on-time), he spent 15 minutes providing my wife and I with background information on his company and on electrical work in general. We found this information to be of considerable help and it only enhanced our opinion of Captain Electric. Well, Enrico went about his work in a highly professional manner and completed the repairs expeditiously. He made sure to wear slippers and to clean up any waste material. He even left us with spare bulbs and he removed the old ones for deposition at the recyling depot. Enrico went out of his way to answer our concerns. He developed the bill and went through it with us and left us with additional reading material with respect to electrical and fire safety. We were most impressed by his work, his willingness to assist, and with his equipment (including his brand-new truck - I always believe that you can judge the quality of a tradesman by the vehicle he drives up in). My wife and I are so pleased with the work and pricing of Enrico and Captain Electric that we would highly recommend them to anyone who needs electrical repairs. Many thanks to Enrico, Bob, and Captain Electric.

    Malcolm, thank you for your positive comments, we really appreciate your post. The "slippers" as you call them are to protect your floor from any outside dirt we may bring into your home. WSIB requires that we do wear CSA approved footwear to protect our workers, and the indoors shoe covers work very well to protect our clients homes (thanks for noticing). Sorry for such a late reply.     Living room baseboard

    I would like to express my satisfaction for the great job Enrico has done at my place. Not only he displayed a high level of professionalism but he was also polite and eager to answer all my questions! He performed the work and explained all he was doing and I feel more knowledgeable!
