We got Antonio's name from this site, which has consistently provided access to excellent tradespeople. The GFCI on our hot tub fails about every year, and although I have changed it myself it's a dirty job and always seems to come at the coldest day of the year. Last year we got a quote to move it to a more conveniemt location, and the electrician (not a Homestars listing) gave us an outrageous price because he wanted to add all new wiring, junction boxes etc. So I did again myself but vowed to have it moved this fall. Antonio came with an hour as he was in the neighbourhood. He told us why it kept failing (dampness) and suggested that we install it right at the incoming breaker panel where it's warm and easy to service. He called his supplier and gave us his pricing - which was hundreds of dollars cheaper than the previous quote. I knew the price as I had bought them before myself. Bad weather delayed his expected install date, but he kept in touch and arrived on the first suitable day and did the work in under about an hour. Having done it before, I as very impressed with trouble he went to to clean up the area, ensure that all the connections were water tight and secure. Obviously we will use his services again when the need arises.

As a home owner, it is sometimes very difficult to find a trust-worthy and reputable company who will perform a quality job and guarantee their work. When we decided to install exterior pot lights, I didn't know where to start. After sifting through builder contacts, yellow pages, references from other people, and my own inquires by phone, I finally found Antonio and Java Electric. He answered all my questions over the phone, was very patient, explained the different options (hardware and bulbs), and offered to give me a quote in writing. He also provided his ECRA/ESA license to ensure I was in compliance with my home owners policy. This was more than anyone else provided me over the phone! When his team showed up, they assessed the house, diagrammed the install, confirmed the price, showed us the pot light hardware and timers, and asked us to approve each location before they started cutting. WOW! Its great to be involved in these decisions. They were careful with their ladders on the eves troughs, they vacuumed after finishing in the attic and we received an invoice and a written guarantee. I was extremely happy with their work and professionalism and would highly recommend them. Antonio will be back next week to install interior pot lights, kitchen lighting, and receptacles in the basement. Thank-you to Antonio and your team for an outstanding job.

Antonio and his team make electrical work painless. Flexibility, Reasonable Pricing combined with Knowledge and Experience worked for us. Large reno converting from fuses to breakers, lots of pot lights, new grounded outlets - all done well including changes part way through project. Antonio was referred to me by my IKEA installer, after I had earlier dealt with a) an electrician who showed up with alcohol on his breath and b) someone who charged me double the quote, because he sent 2 guys instead of 1, and the quote was based on 1 guy (but he didn't tell me until he gave me the bill). I was ECSTATIC when Java Electric turned out to be amazing. I won't use anyone else. We have 3 rental houses that all required major work. Antonio and his crew have changed fuseboxes to breaker panels; separated the main house wiring from the basement wiring, totally rewired the basement and then installed a second panel + meter for the basement apt; installed, wired and vented appliances, and did the usual potlight and fixture installation. Antonio works quickly, and is innovative at tackling problems, such as not having the proper hardware for fixtures (due to my having bought them on sale, missing bits and pieces), or figuring out what went on with previous mysterious wiring jobs. He is a licensed master electrician and his work always passes ESA inspection with flying colors. Antonio's got a great personality to boot. I HIGHLY recommend Java Electric and will be using them again on an upcoming reno this winter.

Java Electric was referred to me by a friend and I would definately pass their name forward. They changed my panel from fuses to breakers and did a great job, especially with all the short wires there were to deal with. The heated floor looked spectacular and the finish product even better.
