I was considering having leafguard put in my eavestrough, I had actually verbally agreed with another company to a quote they had provided. Tip Top Trough was working on a house across the street and I figured I would take 5 minutes and see if I could get a better price. After a brief inspection of my home, their guy said he would not recommend installing leaf guard at all. He pointed out a large pine tree on my neighbor’s property that was definitely depositing needles onto my roof and eaves. The type of leafguard the other company had quoted to install was too porous and would eventually clog my downpipes. Now I use Tip Top Trough to clean my house twice a year.

Last summer, my neighbor’s tree fell on my house. It was during one of those crazy storms and the tree damaged my custom inlaid galvanized eavestrough. Truth is I am a lawyer and the only reason I know about an inlaid trough system now is because he took the time to explain it to me. 10 out of 10!

I have been using Tip Top Trough to supply and install all the aluminum and copper on the exterior of the houses that we build and renovate for many years. They are easy to deal with and always provide a consistent and quality product.

After taking measurements they made some suggestions about the downpipe locations and recommended moving them to low traffic areas around the house. They also informed me about a new by-law coming into effect that would require all downpipes to be above ground, something the other contractors didn’t tell me. They even supplied me with a rain barrel to help water our garden .Their price was competitive and they did a great job!

We have had a drip on several corners on our eavestrough since they were installed 3 years ago. Since then we have hired many different companies to seal the leaks (one of which is right over the front door – killer in the winter time). Multiple failures later we came across Tip Top Trough. Pierce actually showed me that the other companies just kept putting new caulking over the old caulking, never addressing the actual problem. After a huge wind storm several pieces of our soffit had blown away, leaving a big gap under our roof. I was extremely worried about losing more soffit and also about animal infestation. Tip Top Trough was able to match the style and color of the soffit exactly. They repaired and replaced the missing soffit quickly. Their crew was polite and their prices were fair.
