Markham Garage Doors Ltd. was able to extend the life of my 57 year old garage door. A roller broke, and other garage door companies I sourced out refused or were unable to repair it. I found Markham Garage Doors Ltd. on the HomeStars site, and it had great reviews. I called to explain my dilemma, and they were able to make a service call the very same day. They have some used parts in their inventory, and were able to replace the roller in short order. This saved me from having to replace the entire door. The service was excellent. Staff were knowledgeable and polite. If and when the door finally breaks down for good, I won't hesitate to call this company again for a new one. Thank you, J Allen

I was impressed and pleased with the service from start to finish. Ernie came to my house on the same day, fixed my garage door and even shovelled away the ice from underneath the garage door so it would no longer be impeded. Friendly, professional and cheerful! Excellent job by this team. The guy came on time and assessed the situation and rectified in within the time frame originally quoted. I had to replace the torsion spring which broke as well as the opener that was acting up during winter. It was excellent service all round and I am waiting to have the door itself replaced by them. This is how happy I am with their work and their price that I am going to change my old garage door.

Had an issue with my garage and needed it fixed quickly. Called MGD the next day and the guys arrived that afternoon and fixed the garage. They changed the spring and installed two new cables and lubed the garage door rails.

Our garage would not open/close properly. I called and they were great. They came at a time that was convenient for me, and fixed the problem quickly. Price was very fair as well. I would definitely recommend them.

My garage door opener developed a straining screetch and wouldn't open the door. I contacted this company which is local to me, expecting to have to replace the opener. Well, within 1 1/2 hours of calling I had a replacement gear assembly installed and a garage door tune up---at a great price! Super service!!!

Thank you to other reviewers. I am writing this to reciprocate. Found these guys via HomeStars. Called a few others but MGD answered their phone promptly and seemed more willing to help considering I didn't know what was wrong with my garage door. After a quick visit to assess the issue, turns out to be broken garage door opener. Instead of repairing a >15 year opener, I ordered a new opener with quieter belt drive and latest safety features. Promptly confirmed install date. Showed up on time. Very knowledgeable. Installed without issue. Also had two rollers replaced to improve operation. Probably not the cheapest option but definitely good value. I think it is worth a few extra bucks to make sure the job is done right. If you have Homelink in your car, ask for the repeater to save yourself some time. Would definitely recommend Chris and Ernie @ MGD.
