    Stain for our new fence and shed

    When we needed to stain our new fence and shed, we didn't want a stain that would peel and crack, and we didn't want one that would require us to re-apply every few years. Our designer recommended Cutek and their Canadian supplier Benchmark Building Services. We needed the cedar and green lumber fence to color match. When we went to Benchmark we met Antonio - wow, this is full service old style: Antonio explained the product, and even took colours and applied them to green and cedar lumber to ensure they matched. Very, very helpful. I am sure you will agree, the end result was a total match and we were extremely happy with the results!

    Updating Deck Railings & Staining Deck

    Our 25+ year-old wooden deck was in dire need of a facelift. Rosario Ungaro answered our inquiry promptly; he helped us select a gorgeous cedar shade from the Cutek line of wood deck sealants. Rather than re-staining the individual cedar pickets, Rosario and his team sourced a railing manufacturer that produced stylish black metal railings. Benchmark's installation was flawless, and the results are stunning. The deck is beautifully protected, and the metal railings mean no more painting 50+ pickets every few years.     Back deck and fence

    Benchmark designed and built a beautiful back deck made out of two tone Trex material. The job included an outside bar with electrical power for making blended drinks, decor lighting, and the installation of an outdoor kitchen (purchased separately). This was topped of by installing an outside chandelier over the grill area! Benchmark also installed a large privacy fence, custom designed to provide seclusion for a hot tub. This required creative design and precision installation. Rosario and team did an exceptional job for us.

    DECK & REC ROOM RENO

    Built us a trex deck both rear and front of residence stretched ( heated ) trex to round on front deck as well as at my office rear deck also built my rec room all custom with a ceder sauna room all very well done they are done on time and with a fair price hope this is helpfull

    Rooftop Deck

    Rosario replaced a rooftop deck for us, and did a superb job. He’s everything you want in a contractor - he told us exactly what he was going to do, his pricing was in line with other quotes we received, he warned us about anything that might concern us, and he was punctual, friendly and responsive in communication as the project progressed. He and his workers keep an immaculately clean job site and his workmanship is solid. Our project came in on-time, and exactly as quoted. We’re delighted with the result and wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. We highly recommend Benchmark Building for other deck or building projects.

    deck

    redid my deck exactly as per initial designs that they created. Stellar workmanship, and the final construction is incredibly well built. Would recommend Ross and Anthony to any home owner.

    Deck Flashing

    Rosario is an amazing deck building and a honest guy. I called him last week after finding him on here asking him some questions on how to flash my deck correctly after it was not done by the original deck builder. He was very helpful over the phone and in the end I decide to hire him to complete the work. Would highly recommend him.

    Deck

    We have been dealing with Benchmark Services for many years. Twelve years ago we purchased a new home that required many upgrades. Our first project was the deck. We were planning a family reunion and wanted to host the event in the yard. With only three weeks to the event, Ross came out, he designed the most unique shaped deck I had ever seen. It's 17ft by 14ft with a semi circle in the middle. The boards were positioned in a hearing bone pattern to add character and design to the project. We were so pleased with the quality workmenship, professionalism and attention to detai, that we have since call Benchmark for our hardwood flooring, crown molding and wainscotting. Thank you Benchmark for converting our plain suburban home into a retreat.

    complete basement renovation

    Rosario Ungaro has renovated our basement complete with entertainment media center custom bar, sauna, hottub, laundry room and 4pc bath. His eye for detail and knowledge of materials, and applications,is one of a master builder. I am so pleased with the workmanship, he will be remodling our bath room, with a custom steam shower, sky light vented, and many more extras.

    custom wood work

    I have worked with Ross on several occasions, all had tight time lines. Ross showed his commitment to finishing on time working from sun up to sun down to make sure our project was completed on time. Ross is a old school tradesman, who's love of the job is evident. I look forward to collaborating with Ross again, whether it is on a roof top, underpinning a basement, making piles of saw dust creating custom trim, or even just having a coffee. I am extremely picky as to who I will team up with... if you are reading this review chances are that you can understand why I only want the best.
