After much debate I decided to go ahead and install pot lights on the main floor. Without hesitation I called CLI Electric. I had them do my panel upgrade before and I was very impressed with their work and service. Steve gave me a quote over the phone and I booked him to come the following week to do the work. Everything was done in 1 day, no mess left behind and my house looks great!! Thank you Steve and CLI Electric for being amazing!! Hands down the best electricians in the GTA.

I wish I had hired CLI Electric to install my potlights because I would have avoided a huge hassle and headache. Last year I hired another company which is on this site that call themselves the “experts”, trust me they are not worth the headache. Within days after the installation more than half of the lights stopped working. I had called this “expert” company to come out and they kept avoiding my calls. After 10 months I gave up and turned to CLI Electric to help me out. Steve arrived and checked the lights, by now more than 80% of them had stopped working, not only that but there were gaps between the trims (which had discolored) and the holes the previous company had made, small enough not to notice until you get closer, and they were very loose as well. I was in tears. Steve clearly felt bad for me, he told me not to worry that everything was fixable. They say hindsight is 20/20, well in this case it’s true, I wish I had paid the few extra dollars and had a real expert like CLI Electric install my potlights. I asked Steve for a quote to reinstall all new lights as the ones the other company used were pure garbage. To my amazement CLI’s price was not that much more than the other company’s. During the installation we found that a new dedicated line that was supposed to be installed for the lights never was, but the other company charged me for it. Steve and his crew arrived early to start the work and were done by the end of the day, they also installed the new line for the lights that the other company charged me for but didn’t do. No more gaps or flickering lights. It has been a few months now and not one light had gone out. So please heed this cautionary tale, do not expect to get good quality for a bargain basement price, opt to pay a few extra dollars the first time and you will save $$ in the long run. Call CLI Electric, you are guaranteed a high quality product, true EXPERT installation work and superior customer service. I will call only CLI for now on if I need any future electrical work done. ​

Steve and crew arrived to install some lighting in my house one of which was located in a hallway that was 18 feet high. They removed the old and had the new ones installed perfectly, asking for my input regarding height and appearance and when a part was required for a washroom fan, Steve went to Home Depot and located the part for me and came back with not only the part, but a package of light bulbs as well, which I had forgotten to purchase with the new lights. They were not only efficient but friendly, helpful and they cleaned up all of their mess when they were done. All in all, a great experience and I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for competent electricians. Shelley Richmond Hill

I had a few lighting fixtures in my office that had died over the years and had been putting off getting them fixed. I didn't know any electricians and I figured one day I would just have a crack at fixing them myself. Eventually I just decided to give up on my DIY dreams and hire it out. CLI picked up the phone right away, provided a prompt estimate, and sent electricians out to my office the very next day. The work was completed in one visit with minimal disruption to my business, and the total cost was consistent with the estimate. It wasn't necessarily "cheap" but I would call the cost fair for the convenience and quality of work. I will be calling CLI again when something else stops working!

We called CLI Electric back to do our basement electrical and lighting. What a dream these guys are to work with. Attentive, polite and their work ethic is unbelievable. Steve was very helpful in making suggestions for potlight placement to enhance the artwork we have and the lighting in the bar looks amazing, did I mention that lights underneath the bar change colour!! The heated floors in the bath area are heaven as are the heated towel holders. This company is first class all the way, you can’t go wrong hiring them, they live up to their stellar reputation and then some.

I had CLI Electric back to do some additional work and they were just as perfect the second time around as their first visit last year. Steve and Adam are two of the sweetest guys, always with a smile. I had them upgrade my panel and install potlights in the basement. Everything was done by the end of the day and the work areas were left spotless. Within a few days I received the Certificate of Inspection from the ESA from Laura in the office via email. Overall just a really great experience working with this company. They are very professional and truly care about their customers. They will always be my go to electricians for life.

We recently used the services of CLI Electric and we are extremely happy with their work. The electricians were very professional, courteous and respectful of our home. Steve has a very strong attention to detail and completed our electrical as though he was working on his own home. We found their office staff equally as helpful. When we had a few questions, they were very prompt to answer our calls and provide answers. They went the extra mile in ensuring we were happy with their work. We will be using them again in the near future and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

I had a smallish job (install a new circuit) that I needed done quickly. I contacted 6 companies who have very high ratings here on HomeStars, and Laura from CLI Electric was the *only* person who got back to me. (Even a quick "sorry but your job is too small to interest us" reply would have been helpful from the others.) Furthermore, she got back to me very quickly, and was even able to accommodate me when I had to coordinate the job with someone else who was only reachable in the evening. Adam who came to do the job was friendly and professional. The moral of the story seems to be this: if you actually want something done (and done properly), call CLI Electric. (P.S. one of the other companies did get back to me, but over 24 hours later. I still appreciate it though.)

We had hired CLI Electric awhile back for a house rewire and have now had them back to install about 70 potlights throughout our home. Wow is all I can say, what a transformation. We are just ecstatic about Steve and his team. Such a great bunch of guys, awesome attitudes, always smiling and very dedicated. They were really good about putting down drop cloths and cleaning up completely at the end of the day. I actually think they left my house cleaner than when they first got here. Thanks CLI Electric for all your hard work and for being awesome in every way!

I picked CLI Electric for our job because of the outstanding ratings they received on Homestars. They did not disappoint. Steve and Adam came over to correct poor electrical work with the light fixtures in our bedrooms. They also changed 5 of our light fixtures, ran an additional line, installed a 3-way switch and ensured the other light fixtures in our house were safe. Thanks!
