We have a semi-detached in East York Toronto. We had a stop work order issued and Order to comply from the City inspector, for a front porch. We have interviewed few architects and Rocco from Architalcan Design Inc came highly recommended and within 1 week he had measured and had the drawings ready. Finally with his knowledge and way to navigate around, he was able to get the building permits fast before the hard winter allowing construction to continue and finish. Thanks Rocco!!!

Rocco came into a project I was working on after the previous architect didnt even submit drawing to the City of Toronto for review . Rocco submitted his drawings and were approved by the City and the job went very smooth . I highly recommend Rocco and his firm.

I reached out to about six architectural/design firms to help me produce drawings required for a building permit application for my home in downtown Toronto. Rocco at Architalcan Design was the first firm to respond to my inquiry on a Thursday. By Saturday he was at my house with his son Luca to take all required measurements and discuss my project. By Wednesday, under Roccos supervision, Luca had produced my preliminary set of drawings. Dealing with the City of Torontos building department can be challenging and Rocco/Luca were exemplary at quickly responding to changes/updates I needed to the drawings - not once, but several times. I know I made the right choice choosing Architalcan Design for my project and appreciate their competitive pricing, quick turnaround times, solid knowledge of Ontarios building code and local bylaws. I wish all my experiences with the construction trades was this easy and painless.

This company very notably prides themselves in professionalism and dedication to fine craft. I am extremely happy with my new kitchen and cant wait to have Architalcan Design do more work on my priorities. Rocco has the unique expertise of being both a designer architect and builder. His previous hands-on construction with structural experience and value-driven pragmatic approach puts him ahead of most Architects and Builders in Toronto. Honestly, mine is a small job but never the less a daunting process for me. Rocco never made me feel like our project was 'beneath him'. He is professional, efficient, reliable, kind and patient with all my questions. Rocco managed to squeeze in my smallish job into his busy schedule, creating all the drawings the city required. Not only is he fast and efficient, but he is also extremely well versed in navigating the building permit process in Toronto. I would use these guys in a heartbeat if we were doing a custom, high-end remodel. These days, great customer service is hard to come by. This is our first time working with Rocco. We've worked with other architectural technologists in the past, and so we have some experience with building permits & drawings from the City of Toronto. For our most recent project, we interviewed architects and technologist, and in the end decided on Rocco. We now have all our permits, including CoA, and our experience with Rocco was excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable and pragmatic about construction and the process to get building permits from the city. In the early stages or our permit application, Rocco walked us through various options of how to approach our project, with consideration of our timelines and cost as well as the most direct & straightforward path to get our permits. And because of his working style, it was very clear and easy for us to make our decisions for our floorplans, extension, layouts, mechanical, etc. During the entire process and up to the granting of the final permit from the city, Rocco was responsive to our emails and texts.
