    Backyard Fence & Gates

    My experience in dealing with Cando was very pleasant and professional from beginning consultation to end. Although we did experiences a few challenges, Cando was there every step of the way to assist in making the process as painless as possible. I highly recommend Cando!

    Fence Replacement

    I had my fence replaced about three years ago after weather related damage. Alon was good with his salesmanship although came across as a little too rushed to hear all that I had to say regarding the fence and what I wanted. Steve and the crew showed up on site and Steve began his survey, as I had some very specific requirements regarding property lines for my job. Steve seemed to do a thorough job, although they all seemed to be very rushed which concerned me at first, as I know a little about fencing and wanted to make sure that they did a proper job and did not cut corners, for example making sure the post holes are around 42 inches deep each for frost protection. They came up a little short on some of the holes and did not appreciate my observations. But they made them right with the exception of one that was barely 36 inches deep, but assured me that nothing would happen. And they had a 5 year guarantee on the post work so... The workers were kind and considerate, but were at times fighting with each other. One worker was terribly upset about having to mix the concrete and made it quite evident to everyone including the clients that he was pissed off to say the least, not good conduct, especially in front of the client, however things prevailed. The only major problem I had with the contruction of my fence was that the workers bringing in the concrete for the posts kept on pouring the concete on the sides of the posts rather than into the hole around the posts and Steve actually got upset about it but still had to keep on reminding them, it made a hell of a mess for ME to clean up after, not appreciated and made the bottom of the posts look like crap, not at all appealing to the eye. And Alon is very hard to get ahold of, but I understand what it's like to be swamped, however... The gentleman that came afterwards to do the planking/boarding-finishing of the fence was from the east coast and man oh man was he good at his job, He took the time to make sure that the spacing was what I wanted rather than just doing it. He did a fantastic job finishing the fence and making the gate. Although the gate hardware they provided was not the greatest. Over all I would recommend CAN DO. But would advise people to be very specific with your requirements and needs. I would highly suggest that people have hot dip galvnized nails used for the whole project including the planking/boarding part as well, much stronger by far than electroplated nails. The fence is beautiful and well done with good quality materials and has held up very well to date with minor to moderate post twisting and plank cracking. Regards PJ(Peter)Harris.

    Hello PJ,--Alon from CAN DO Fence & Deck Thanks for your review and feedback...We have grown significantly over last few years and are now fully staffed both Construction and Administration. However I certainly understand how my being rushed could be perceived negatively and apologize for this. Post setting methods have evolved and are done to the Highest standards(including using CONCRETE Trucks and 28MPA Concrete) for all projects and installing posts with a technique called 'floating' allowing concrete to reach close to the 48inch mark while bottom of hole is flaired and concrete / gravel mix below post to encase it and give it more durability) This is now standard practice Clean ups are usually quite thorough now as fully staffed crews are equipped to do this, however normal wear and tear during construction (although fairly minor) is a reality of construction. Of course Splitting / Warping / Twisting of lumber is natural wood behaviour and cannot be prevented, Posts staying in the ground and not Lifting is mainly what can be controlled and our 5 YEAR WARRANTY (Longest Written Warranty in the industry)protects our customers. Our staffing has improved; we are careful to screen and make sure our Employees are professional and conduct themselves accordingly...Certainly no employee should lose their temper in front of customers and again my apologies that you experienced this. All our nails are now Double Hot Dipped Galvanized to deal with the ACQ Copper based current treatment. GATE Hardware we carry now is Heavy Duty Hinges and latches which can be opened from either side and do not require strings or modifications to open / close...Of course Gates are subject to use and wear and tear but the new hardware goes a long way! *By the way if you want to call me directly (416)989-3934 I would be glad to take information and send someone to change the Gate hardware for you at no charge for your helpful review and feedback.     Fence

    We are extremely impressed with Can Do Fence & Deck. Not only does Can Do provide competitive pricing, but they are a full-service contractor. Alon was pleasant to deal with and extremely efficient. He arranged 2 fence meetings between all our neighbors, including the delivery of flyers to each house involved with the fence and was available to answer any questions relating to by-laws, neighbor disputes etc. Alon is extremely knowledgeable about his business and delivers first class service. From receipt of our quote to completion of our beautiful fence was less than 1 month. Thank you for exceeding our expectations Can-Do.

    Fence Installation

    You want quality better than the price you pay??? CAN DO Fence is amazing!! Alon and his crew are professional and the workmanship is phenominal. 2 streets front and back are more than thrilled with the fences!! Thank you for everything CANDO!!!

    fencing

    Once my neighbor and i decided the exact fence we wanted we wanted to get 3 estimates. The first 2 estimates i received were close in price. My brother in law who is a large contractor told me to call Can do so i did and i submited the style of fence and length via email, well there estimate with tax was over $600.00 cheaper for only 100' of fence. When I met the sales person i was convinced we made the right choice and they delivered in every way. Trees and gardens are well established making our job difficult, however they did a beautiul job with minimal damage to grass and perenials. Alon the owner and Jo Anne in the office respond to questions and concerns quickly and the employee's are friendly and professional. I really can't say enough and to save all that money on top.

    Fence

    We are extremely pleased with our fence for a number of reasons: 1) The quick response from the company after we submitted an inquiry email. 2) Alon (the sales manager) was very professional, knowledgeable, accommodating and not to mention accessible (just an email or phone call away). Alon was instrumental in getting our fences built as he took the necessary time to meet with individual neighbours to address their concerns. 4) Can Do actually completed our fences within 4 days and it was weeks ahead of the agreed upon timeline. 5) The install crew were quick, efficient, and not to mention very neat. 6) They are competitively priced and well worth the cost.

    Fence with gate

    We booked with Can Do Fence & Deck after researching a number of other companies. They had done a lot of work in our neighbourhood and had fair pricing. In addition, they offered a variety of payment plans and design options. From the initial quote meeting the company presented themselves in a friendly yet professional manner. We met with Alon who thoroughly explained the process to the group and answered all of our questions. Our meeting with him left us confident that they would be right for the job. Most of us had grading issues that caused a delay but Alon was accommodating and knowledgeable prior to and during booking. Alon always responded to email questions/concerns promptly and the crew did an excellent job building our fence (completed earlier than guarantee date)! We highly recommend Can Do Fence & Deck; from the initial quote meeting to when the crew is leaving you will not be disappointed!!!

    Fence

    Our neighbours got together last year to decide on a fencing contractor. We are glad that we have chosen Cando Fence & Deck to complete the fencing in our neighbourhood. Alon (sales manager) did an excellent job explaining the procedure. The crew is just completing our fence this week and the quality of the fence and their workmanship was excellent. I am strongly recommending this company to anybody who is in the process of building a fence or deck in the near future.

    Fence replacement

    We used Can Do to replace our fence that had been demolished by strong wind a couple years back. We phoned around to see if there was any fence & deck company who could also replace our 6 x 6 post on our other fence. We did not want to replace the whole fence, as it was only the one post that was bad. Luckily, Can Do can do the job., while others would not So, we were very pleased. with Can Do

    Fence and Deck

    **UPDATE** I just had Can Do also finish my deck. They did a great job on my fence so I was confident to go with them again. If you shop around for quotes you will likely not find more competitive prices. Alon provided great advice on the deck design and I am really pleased with the end result. They came one day to drill and install the supports and returned a few days later to construct the deck. They actually finished a couple of weeks ahead of the expected schedule. I also wanted to add that Joanne at head office was a pleasure to deal with. She returned my calls quickly and addressed all my questions. I would definitely use their services again and will refer them to others. *************************** CAN DO did a good job building my fence. The sales manager, Alon, was pleasant to deal with and made the process simple and convenient. The fence was built within the timeframe promised and I am happy with the quality of the work. Their prices were very competitive. I would refer them to others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
