I found Paul in Homestars, and I have to say that I am 110% satisfied with the work that he did in our basement, 3 rooms were framed in one day, amazing, his tips regarding the size of door and other areas were just right, it makes sense, he did a bulk head for the ducting that I had to put down for then ew ducting, and he came back and rebuild that section for me at no additional cost, that is what I call going the extra mile with his customers... I will not hesitate to contact Paul for any carpentry/framing work in the future. Thanks again for a fast, clean and reliable work you did in our basement. ROGER & BETSY

Paul Richardson keeps his word, he did a great job framing the basement rooms and the 2nd floor laundry room in 2 days, quicker than planned. He worked well with other trades and was willing to finish some other jobs at a reasonable price. I liked the way he made suggestions for type of doors, closets and the shower shape. Thank you, Paul ! My wife and I were impressed with your work and your humour!

We needed to build new stairs in our backyard and rebuild the front porch deck, stairs, and porch columns. We contacted a few carpenters and selected Paul for a few reasons: he was the most honest & down-to-earth of them all, he was clearly skilled in the trade, and his quote was competitive. Now that the job is complete, we are 150% certain that we made the right decision. His work ethic and craftsmanship are second to none. Our porch and stairs are STUNNING...we continue to get compliments on it from neighbours. Paul and his assistant, Marcin, worked during THE hottest week of the summer and I was quite literally blown away by their dedication and professionalism. I would recommend Paul without a doubt and plan on using him again the next time we need a carpenter.

We were in the process of having our basement finished and were looking for someone to frame it. I decided to go with Paul after reading all the great reviews on this site and were extremely pleased with the speed and especially the quality of the work by him and his helpers. Paul was always punctual and took the time to explain exactly what would be done, and at the end of the job Paul made sure that our place was left clean of all debris. All in all it was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I had some uneveness in my floors on my main and second floors. On short notice and with Paul's help, he determined that it was due to the fact that we were lacking support in our basement columns. He added new concrete footings and steel columns and jacked up my structure slowly to ensure that the beams were gradually leveled without causing too much damage. I found Paul very honest and reasonable and would definitely call on him again for any future work.

Paul and his company provide a very great service. I did a wall opening and floor leveling which implied to set a post to hold the upper floor. I am very satisfied with his work, his way of working and how explains every detail and problem. Definitely I would recommend to hire him as Carpenter. He is great.

This was my second time having Paul do work on my house. Paul and his helper did an excellent job removing my OSB sub floor and replacing it with plywood. The job required the stair railing removal and partition wall removal. The joists were blocked, the plywood cut and installed and the partition walls re-built. All went well and I am very happy with Paul's work again. Thanks Paul!

We found Paul on HomeStars and were impressed by his many great reviews. After our initial conversations with him, we found Paul to be professional, knowledgeable and very approachable. The initial scope of work included leveling and resheeting parts of the main floor, restructuring areas where walls had been removed to create a more open concept layout and framing new walls in one portion of the home. Even though the scope of work increased significantly as we found more defects in the home, as well as some changes we made, Paul was able to complete the job with just two days extra work and at a very reasonable price. Also, Paul and his crew left the house spotless and ready for the next trades to start their work. Working with Paul was honestly one of the best experiences we have had with a contractor. He was always available to answer any of our questions, offered practical solutions and strategies and is a pleasure to work with. We are looking forward to having Paul back for Phase 2 of our reno and have already recommended him highly to family and friends. Thanks Paul!

I first came to know Paul at PTR Carpentry by observing him working at my neighbour’s house outside on the deck in January. Everything about the job impressed me as I watched him as did a brief conversation I had with him. When I talked to my neighbor about the work, she said that she was thrilled as usual and that PTR Carpentry had done already four or five jobs for her. Knowing that every job was different, I also checked him out on Homestars, Better Business Bureau, etc, etc. Paul is as fantastic as my neighbour and the other reviews on Homestars indicate. Everything about my job (full demo and reframe of the main floor of a house) was completed as promised, on time, and on budget. Paul and his crew are professional and wonderful to deal with. When changes have to be made, as seems to happen with any renovation, he had great solutions ready. When my driveway was damaged (not by PTR carpentry) by the dumpster company he said that he would deal with the company to have it fixed for no cost or effort to me. The other way I checked out Paul’s work after it was complete was by asking each of the trades going forward (flooring company, drywall contractor, plumber and electrician) how good a job the reframe was. All of them said it was one of the best reframe jobs they had ever seen, that it made their job easier, saved them time and likely saved me money! I would strongly recommend Paul and PTR Carpentry. I have lots more work to do on my house and I will be calling Paul again and again!

Paul and his assistant were great. They completed frame, roof, and walls for a garage fast and with an excellent craftsmanship. Paul’s attention to last minute changes was excellent. I greatly appreciate Paul’s advice and suggestions in making the garage last longer. I would absolutely recommend Paul to anyone. Thank you Paul, Excellent work! George.
