We hired Elite Construction & Renovations in 2018 to do a house modification that included cutting open a wall and installing a walk out door onto a newly lowered patio. Other than a few issues, we were quite pleased with the final result. BUT after the winter we found that bricks under the door sill were disintegrating. Elite showed no interest or ownership to the problem. Eventually the problem was identified as inferior ‘concrete’ bricks in the newly exposed basement wall that were subjected to freeze/thaw conditions. We had to hire another company to dig up the patio, replace the ‘concrete’ bricks with clay bricks, parge and waterproof the whole basement wall under the patio sliding door. In retrospect Elite should have identified the need for this work during the original construction phase, and this would have saved us the cost and the inconvenience of the extra work. We were disappointed in Elite’s lack of involvement in the issue.

We were very fortunate to work with Elite Construction on the framing of one of their custom homes. Ryan and Jay were very organized and paid always on time and the site was always in great condition. Thank you guys and we hope to work again soon!

Elite did a great job building a "shell" for my two floor addition on concrete pillars in the Beaches. The "shell" consisted of the framing, roofing and spray foam in the roof and ground floor. From the beginning to the end their approach was professional, confident and considerate. Their estimate of time and cost was accurate so there were no surprises. I particularly appreciated their attention to detail and making sure I was comfortable with any minor decisions that had to be made. They were a pleasure to work with.

We hired Elite for a two-story house addition in the Beaches. The result was better than we could have expected – our addition ties in seamlessly with the existing house, while having a very unique and modern look on its own. The project was essentially on time and on budget, although it was important for us to outline the scope in great detail during the design stage to minimize potential cost overruns. We were extremely impressed with their diligence and transparency throughout the process. Keith was an excellent project manager – very detail-oriented, responsive and caring. Stephanie had a fantastic design eye and helped us through the daunting approval process. As the owner, Jay left most of the day-to-day work to his team, but whenever we required his input he was always keen to help and really understood our vision from the start. Finally, Scott / Ken were keen to address any outstanding issues after project completion. There were some small delays and errors made by some of their tradespeople, but that is inevitable on a large and complicated project. Definitely a 10/10 team.

I used Elite for the construction of 2 new bathrooms in my new home. The company did a fabulous job on this renovation from start to finish. - the company was very professional during the design phase and made it very clear what was involved in the project - the project started and ended on time - and more or less on budget (any cost overruns were explained and relatively minor - and could not have really been foreseen at the design stage. I would recommend that anyone has a bit of a contingency budget for these type of things). - I lived in my house throughout the renovation, and therefore saw first hand a lot of the work taking place. And one of the best things about Elite Construction is the people who work for the company - either directly or as contractors. They were incredibly professional, and very friendly and helpful - Most importantly, my family and I love the end result. We have 2 new bathrooms that are exactly how we had imagined them on the drawing board. Overall I would definitely recommend Elite Construction for any medium to large renovation.

Jay is professional and responded to our needs. We had siding put on our house and from start to finish he ensured that work was on schedule. He was up front so there were no surprises. It is good to know that there are reliable contractors out there.

Jay and Keith and the team did a great job. They were very organized and kept to schedule. They were very good at communicating with us and keeping us informed on progress. We were very happy with their suggestions and the quality of their workmanship. Any questions were taken care of quickly. Elite did a fabulous job of cleaning up after the work was done. We definitely would use Elite again for any future projects.

I hate renovations. I hate people not showing up when they say they will. I hate poor workmanship and I hate spending money. I am not a great candidate for being the best client and I recognize that fully. I have been terrified to have my home worked on and I have waited 6 summers to have my 3rd bedroom added to my home. 3 kids, 2 bedrooms…it was time. Finally, I gave in. I called Elite Construction based on a referral from a local real estate agent I trust. BEST DECISION EVER. Right from the get go I have had the best experience you could imagine. The owner, Jay, right from the beginning was professional, concise, direct, specific and detail oriented and to top it off he’s a really nice guy. He then left the job to another incredibly competent and friendly guy named Jez who would have a calming effect on anyone. It literally was the dream team but then it got even better. Every single person who worked on my house showed up when they were expected, were courteous, knowledgable and efficient. The crew of roofers were quick and took great care of my neighbours. They left the surrounding area absolutely spotless. The 2 men who did the siding were happy and worked two full days straight to get the job done. They worked like artists taking in every detail. They treated me very well and were equally excited as me about the progress on my home. The framers that built the room had it up in what seemed like a minute. Any small infraction that happened by accident was quickly remedied and fixed within days by Elite. I suppose we all know that you are only as good as your team. Elite Construction has a superior team. That kind of success comes with great leadership and pride in your product. I would recommend Elite Construction to anyone and would encourage you to contact me if you have any questions.

Jay and his team did an excellent Job. The project was a 2 floor extension out the back of our existing house, wall repairs/electrical in existing rooms and complete kitchen and bathroom reno. The transparency and communication throughout the project allowed us to complete our project on time and within our budget. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations and the project management was fantastic. Our manager Joel, worked with a great team of professionals to stay on track and kept us updated on progress. Joel's patience and experience made him very effective in meeting any challenges and coming up with cost effective solutions. The work done was a full condo renovation in a low-rise building. The entire unit was gutted - new walls built, rooms re-purposed, new bathrooms, new walk-in closets, updated electrical, LED lighting through-out. New kitchen replaced dated galley kitchen and created a large open living and dining space. We could always rely on the Elite team to respond to any issues in a very professional and timely manner.
