Ecoline Windows and Doors was one of the firms (total 4) I contacted for a quote on replacing my existing garden doors.
Price wise, Ecoline was middle of the pack.
Selection wise, Ecoline was a definite leader. One of the competitive firms was here for less than 15 minutes, stated he could not provide the color range we required and suggested another firm (not Ecoline). Ecoline by the way, had the broadest range of colors. We were able to find the shade we wanted so the new door matched the rest of the home decor.
Service wise, Ecoline stood out. Yulia came here for the on site inspection and quote. She asked me about our particpation in the Green Homes upgrade program. I advised that we had started that process but it was not too far into the whole game yet. She asked if I had any idea what we could recieve if we met all the criteria of that program. I said, I had no idea but that I was under no misconception that we were ever going to get thousands of dollars for replacing one patio door. Yulia advised and provided documentation from the Government of Canada website with the breakdown of the potential financial payback for following the Green Homes Program to completion...$125.00 MAX, No other salesman broached this subject at all! They all said they could work with us on that program but no indepth info was ever offered. One competitor did advise that there was a defined end of the program on the horizon and that we should get our quote done and on paper to fix that price before the program ended in early 2024.
Based on the info provided by Yulia and further reviews of the program on our own, we saw no fininacial benefit to following through with that program. We coud have been out of pocket a few hunderd dollars at the end of it and still be looking at the cost of the door replacement.
Thank you Yulia for broaching that question. We believe that saved us some money. Basically, Ecoline moved into first place contender based on that single action.
Yulia also stood out with her second trip to our home to help us sort out a wrinkle in the "on line" documentation after the quote was delivered to us. A breath of fresh air from a customer service perspective.
The day of the installation brough us in contact with Andrian and his assistant (I apologize for not catching that young fellows name). They were running late from their previous job which is fine. I was advised by Ecoline of that and the new quoted time of arrival, which was accurate. They worked quietly and methodically on the patio door package, removal of the existing garden doors and preparation of the door opening in the wall. Andrian answered all my questions and he asked me for confirmation on a couple of points during the install. They were here until almost 7:30 PM. The new patio door looks amazing! Andrian showed me the features (locks, foot latch and door seals) of the new door and worked with me to fill out the post install inspection as requested by Ecoline.
It was a pleasure to watch a couple of professional tradesmen work through this job. They were polite, quiet and diligent in finishing the job. Clean up was top notch. I have nothing but positive thoughts and/or comments on the installation crew's efforts and results. Thanks to Andrian for all that.
All in all, our experience with Ecoline Door and Windows has been very positive. Unfortunately, our stage in life will limit further window or door relacements for our own needs. BUT...we will be advising all of the younger folks in our circle about our experience with Ecoline and will heartily recommend they look at Ecoline for their window and door needs.
