I had wanted to write this review for some time. I had the asbestos basement floor tile removed plus moldy drywall due to years of water leakages into my basement on August 27, 2013. Robert returned my call immediately, explained the procedure and provided me with a reasonable estimate. David and his crew came out to do the work and they were superb. David explained the process and kept me constantly informed. David was meticulous, professional and extremely courteous. This summer we have had many contractors do some updating work around our house, but Templar by far was the best. I highly recommend this company.

My basement was a victim of famous Toronto flood. Everything had to be removed. I have contacted several companies and Templar’s price was less than other quotes I got. I had 2 jobs that had to be done. One is to remove the asbestos tiles that were underneath the laminate floor. And the other job was to remove the thick terracotta tiles from 500 square feet main basement room. The latter was a hard job and I was afraid about the dust level and the amount of time that it would take. I was very impressed with David and his detailed attention to everything. Davis sealed all possible area to minimize the dust level and the work was done while I was at work and kids were in school. When the work was done David cleaned up all the mess, disposed of all debris and applied an environmentally and kids friendly disinfectant. Very impressed and would gladly recommend Templar to anybody. Thanks David and Robert!

I decided to have about 750 square feet of asbestos tiles in my basement removed. I got three quotes, Robert's was the best, and from talking to him, it was clear that he was offering the identical level of service as the other two. When David came out to inspect the site, he was courteous, professional, answered my questions patiently, and just generally gave me confidence in the Templar Team. This faith was proven correct when they came soon after to complete the job. They came when scheduled, did the work efficiently (finishing basically in 1 day instead of 2), didn't nickel and dime me (the final price was exactly what we had agreed on in our first phone conversation), and cleaned up after themselves. I'd highly recommend Templar.

I contacted Templar to remove the exposed asbestos from the pipes in the boiler room of our 100-year-old Toronto home. Robert responded to my email promptly and was able to give me an approximate quote over the phone. I received a similar quote from another company, but their response time was poor. So, based on Robert’s professionalism, prompt replies, and all the positive reviews I read for Templar, I decided to go with them. I scheduled the asbestos removal for the following week. Prior to that, David came to our home to view the job and to give me a definitive quote. He explained the procedure and patiently responded to all of my questions and concerns He also informed me that we had asbestos tiles on the floor, which we decided to remove as well. The asbestos-removal team consisted of David, Dale & Warren (hope I got their names right). They were friendly and professional, and as far as I can tell, they did an excellent job. The only reason I am not giving them a 10 out of 10 is because they were about an hour late on both days, and I had to call David to see where they were at. Other than that, they were great! I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again if the need arose. Thank you, Templar!

After recently purchasing an older home (108 yrs), I needed a fairly large amount of exposed asbestos removed. The first company tried to up-sell me I felt. I asked Robert for a quote from Templar and it was much lower and he was a straight shooter and honest. No up-selling. I highly recommend Templar.

Robert and his crew lead Dave were very courteous and professional in both their manner and approach to this very complex project. We have a 141 year old house in Bowmanville that needed to have all of the asbestos removed from the heating pipes. The crew was efficient,timely and exceeded my expectations for a job well done. Home inspection found vermiculite was use to insulate the walls in my home. Robert and his team travelled 2.5 hrs to give me an estimate. Templar's price was very reasonable and with the information from this web site I had Robert and his team do the work. The work was done on schedule and had no hidden cost. Robert provided all the documents to support the work was completed within government regulation.

We were advised during our house inspection to have asbestos removed from our vents. After some research I chose Templar for one estimate. They came in several hundred dollars lower than our other choice for the same work. They arrived on time, completed their work in the time estimated and were right on budget. Very courteous and professional.

I had worked with this company a few years ago. I contacted them again because when we started to renovate the kitchen, we discovered asbestos tiles sandwiched between plywood in the floor, and were concerned about how we were going to be able to remove them. After contacting Robert Timm, he came by quickly, in spite of other demands related to flooding in Toronto, assessed the situation, and we booked for them to do the removal shortly afterward. They were on time, very proficient, and on budget. The work was done efficiently, and they cleaned up after themselves better than anyone else I'm working with. Everything has been done, and when I am in a position to remove the basement tiles, I'll be back in touch.
