I contacted Francisco for a quote, and he promptly responded. He quoted us a very reasonable price for an install of about 830sq. ft. My husband said he would remove all the existing laminate, which may have brought down the price. We didn't end up going with hardwood, but rather, high-quality laminate, which also brought down the price a bit. We decided to have them install the quarter-rounds too (price of materials included) to make our lives easier. My husband and I were very happy with the install, which is well done. Francisco's partner Cody (sp) and his assistant were very friendly and professional. Although they did take a bit longer than expected, it was well worth it because of their attention to detail.

I would recommend Francisco to anyone thinking about installing hardwood floors. He's knowledgable, honest, punctual, thorough, flexible, and, above all, he's a very nice guy and he's very good at doing what he does. He was very accommodating when we asked him to start a couple of days later (because of other works going on in the house dragging on longer than expected). He even worked on Easter weekend to finish on time. He forgot to mention that his estimate did not include the base shoe and ended up installing it for free.

We decided to remove and not replace broadloom that had covered the original hardwood floor for about forty years. Not knowing the condition of the floor we engaged Ecowoods to do the refinish job. Much of the hardwood on the main floor was installed when the house was built in 1918. Francisco had a look and agreed to tackle the job. He left stain chips with us so we could choose the colour. He then followed up and asked that we pick three stain colours. Some days later he dropped off a piece of hardwood with the three stains we had picked on it so we could more accurately decide on a final colour. This was a very nice approach and we appreciated seeing the stains on a larger piece of wood all together. On the day of the job Franciso and his crew arrived ontime and got right to work. Plastic sheets were put up to help limit wood dust migration from the sanding. By the end of the third day the job was done.....earlier than estimated. In order to reduce the overall time for the job, Franciso would put a sealer coat on the floor in the morning and would later return in the evening to apply another coat. Despite the fact some of the hardwood had deteriorated, and screws had been used to fasten some of it down, Franciso filled in the holes as best he could. The overall job looks really good thanks to the expertise of Ecowoods. We would certainly recommend Ecowoods for anyone considering a refinishing job.

We had several contractors quote this job. Francesco was affordable, professional and friendly. He did a wonderful job sanding and refinishing our very old, beat-up floors. They look like new!

This is the second time we have used Francesco's company and once again we were extremely pleased by the result and his outstanding work ethic. Francesco is incredibly meticulous and hardworking. He fixed a number of things that were missed in the initial inspection (additional trim work, planks of wood that needed replacing) yet did not increase his written quotation. He kept us well informed on when to expect him and how the job was coming along. We would, without hesitation, recommend him to our friends and family and would absolutely use him again. Francesco did an admirable job on our flooring, landing and stairs and banister when we were renewing our 40 year-old condo. We are very pleased with it. It's beautiful. During the two weeks leading up to our moving in, we had a lot of trades to co-ordinate and the timing was very tight. Franceso very willingly fitted in some weekend work to accommodate our timetable. We highly recommend him.

Francisco responded promptly to my e-mail, I got a quote soon after, and booked the job. Francisco and Khody were on time to start the job, handled everything with care and respect. We had a setback due to the wood we bought at Homedepot. Khody pointed out the defects, and we had to return everything and buy new wood. We had to postpone the job for a couple of days. After that everything went smooth and on time. The oak staircase stain matches well the maple hardwood we chose. We knew we could not get a perfect match due to the difference in grain, but we're happy with the results. Floor and stairs look great and we saved quite a bit going with ecowoods vs. the builder. The job involved sanding, staining, and finishing approximately 1300 sq ft of herringbone hardwood floor. The results are excellent, and the work was completed on schedule and was consistent with the original quote. Friendly and professional too-- highly recommended!

Our kitchen floor was very worn out from 8 years of use by 3 toddlers. Francisco was the only contractor that insisted on coming out to see the floor in order to give an estimate, despite the fact that it was a small job. His quote was very reasonable. Francisco called the day before coming and completed the work in the exact time frame that he quoted and did an absolutely beautiful job. The floor looks brand new!
