Just wanted to say thank you for a tremendous job. You made a stressful day a lot less stressful. Firemen movers were not only fast but were very efficient and careful in handling our things. I will be sure to use your company for all future moves and will recommend you to anyone I know in need of movers.

    apartment to condo move

This is my 13th move and I chose Firemen Movers after reading the glowing reviews and speaking to the efficient-sounding office staff. The crew were professional, courteous and pleasant- a great improvement on movers I’ve used in the past- and overall the move was a success and even somewhat enjoyable because of their personalities. Although we would still recommend the company, we do have a few reservations. We had a 4-man team, and moving our one-bedroom apartment took 10 hours, which is longer than we expected. It is true that we moved out of a 3rd-story apartment with no elevator, and we understand that this added extra time to the outward journey, but we suspect that part of the problem was that one team member seemed less enthusiastic about the move than the others. Our stuff arrived intact but a few new pieces suffered minor dents, chips or dings; this was because they were a wee bit inconsistent about what was wrapped and what was not and how it was wrestled through doors and into place. Perhaps the guys were tired out by moving my piano, which they did first. I was reluctant at first to add it to the move but not only is a piano move pictured on the Website, but the office assured me that they move pianos regularly. When they arrived the guys were (understandably) clearly not thrilled to be moving a piano so perhaps the office oversold this option. We’d like to end by reiterating that these really are the nicest guys, 3 of whom remained amazingly positive throughout. It’s ironic that the hardest-working guy is not even a Firemen yet, but based on his attitude we’re sure he will become great assets to some future FD team.

Thanks for the review! It is true that sometimes a move can take a little longer than anticipated. We at Firemen Movers always try to give an accurate and honest estimate about the time it will take to move you. On occasion our estimate will come in a little over, or a little under, what we predict. Thanks for letting us know how we did and we are always striving to be better. Thanks again for your business.

    house move

Anyone can set themselves up as a moving firm. All you need is a van and an advert in a free paper. It's why there are so many cowboys. If you want to save a few bucks, go ahead and hire the two guys who turn up wearing stained white vests, driving a U-haul, and then spend their time rotating between taking smoking breaks and wrecking your furniture/house. Just don't be amazed when they suddenly want twice the original estimate. If you want professionals, who wear uniforms, have all the gear, and do exactly what they say they would, then hire Fireman Movers. They made our move pretty much stress-free. Diana in the office was very helpful with scheduling the move. Lorne, one of the owners, visited us beforehand to make sure we had the right number of movers. All charges were fully explained ahead of time and we recieved a complete estimate by e-mail. We're a busy family with 3 kids, so we also needed help with the packing. Fireman movers sent two packers who boxed up our house in a day. They couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The move itself went just as smoothly. The team of four movers used carpet runners throughout the house, shrinkwrapped all the furniture and put blankets around any fragile items. They worked quickly and competently. Again, all were professional and courteous. The result is that not one single thing was damaged nor was there any damage to the houses we were moving into or out of.

    Move from house to apartment

This review is long overdue. It's not often that you encounter a team of movers that are so professional, thoughful and hard working. A huge thanks to Doug and his wonderful team. Without a doubt, the smoothest move I've ever had! I highly recommend hiring this company.

    Move

I did a lot of research before I selected Firemen movers and everything I read about the company was true! The crew: Kirk, Tim and David were awesome! They had great personalities and were extra careful with our furniture. It was a long move and they had to haul heavy furniture like our 300-pound butcher block coffee table down a steep flight of stairs and were still smiling at the end of the day. The move took from 9am until about 7:30m pm and at one point I said to Kirk: I am starting to feel really guilty. He laughed and said: "Don't.We're not your buddies doing this for pizza and beer." True. But they kinda of felt like buddies :)

    Office Moving

Using Fireman Mover's was a great experience; they were fast efficient and moved our offices in less than the allotted time. As a bonus we found out that a portion of money they earn is donated to the Sick Kids Burn Unit and Camp Bucko. We definitely would use them again and highly recommend their services.

    Moving Services

Every moving company promises professional services, they promise to arrive on time and to take care of your possessions as if they were theirs. So how does Firemen Movers differ from the others? They not only live up to their promises, they surpass them! My profession has given me the unique opportunity to live in 4 countries and 9 cities, a total of 14 moves. I have used the services of the big name movers as well as regional small movers. Some were good, others were better and some were well below expectations. If I was to rank all 14 moves on a scale of 1 to 10 – Firemen Movers would rank as 10 with the next best coming in at an 8. I must admit to being somewhat hesitant about hiring non-professional movers. After all, we have all seen movies where firemen use pick head fire axes to chop their way into a home – doesn’t quite give you an image of tender loving care! The team of movers from Firemen Movers that relocated my belongings could give most professional movers a lesson on moving techniques and customer care. I highly recommend Firemen Movers. For those skeptics who believe that all testimonials are written by the company, you can contact me directly at bermanre716@hotmail.com.

    Moving Services

These guys came through exactly as they said they would. Good frendly crew, who took care of our furniture in a very professional maner. No supprise charges at the end of it all. They tell you what they can and will do, do it efficiently, and yes there are several real firefighters doing the job. So, you be assured they do put part of their fees to a very worthy cause helping burn victims. I'm glad we used them and recommend them to anybody who requires a great moving company.
