    Condo Unit

Bought my condo from them. Nice size, two bedroom, basic finishings. I like the layout - nice and spacious. Upgrades are expensive though. I didn't like the limited options they had for this unit in terms of upgrades (ie. color choice and style). Also their main salesperson isn't very bright. His assistant was much smarter and better to work with. Poor visitor parking too. Otherwise, nice unit for the price. It was on main floor.

    House

Hired Cardel to build our house. Their upgrade prices were ridiculously overpriced... I could have bought the material at fraction of what they were charging, but they won't let me supply any of my own material: they make you buy through them. They also have shoddy workmanship, and claim that its "industry standard". Well, I say their standards are quite low as I've had multiple trades comment on how bad their work on the finishings were, and I had to pay for my own trades to fix their terrible work.

    New Home

Selected Cardel to help build new home, It was nice since my dad is a framer they allowed him to participate in the building process. House turned out great except the bay window we selected and paid for was a larger size, but a smaller one was delivered and never corrected, we did not recieve a reduction on the cost either with the mix up. Some deficiencies were also missed and not corrected in the finishing process. We have lived here for years now, I guess it's water under the bridge. Other than that we have made this house a home.

    Building a new house

We builded a brand new house using Cardel Homes. I must say that this company is the best one. The house was built in 2010, with no issues since then. We recieved our possession even earlier than anticipated. We got our insurance and are satisfied with what we got for our money. I will highly recommend Cardel Homes.

    Buidling a new home

We built with Cardel 3 months ago. It was a good experience due to the fact from the design part until the construction we were aware of what was happending, and if there were any probelms, we emailed them and the problem was fixed in a timely manner. I really liked the quality of the build compere to other builders. I love my new home!

    Home Builder

We built with Cardel three years ago. The experience at their design center was great! There were a few minor issues that we had after we moved in, but they did their best to deal with them in a timely manner. We have built two other homes ,and I would say that this was by far the best experience we had, not to say that we did not have our frustrations. I think anytime you build you will run into a few issues. But overall our experience was pretty good.

Cardel Home built in 2002 still with builder problems

Home built in 2002 - don't think your problems with Cardel are over at year end. Mold on exterior because Instead of overlapping paper, so water would drip down the wall all the way , the paper is stapled on with the bottom lapping over. Allowing water to drip in and hold between the paper & the wood. Found this year because of window insurance claim. I have a shower with a bench seat which leaked after 3 - 6 months living in the house, which they fixed by slathering my shower with caulking instead of fixing the improperly installed seat. We are living with a brown leak stain on our family room ceiling. Along with the insurance claim, a roofing company advised us our ensuite vent is just a shingle thrown on top just laying there. Not nailed on, no tar. Likely because it is a very sloped part of the roof. We have also found a brown water stain on the ceiling around the vent.

    New home build

Built a home in South Calgary, have since sold. The overall sales and design portion of the experience was average. The staff was helpful, seem to promise more than they deliver, and things seemed way overpriced in some instances, especially when you look at prices for doing some finishes after we took possession. But I mainly wanted to comment on the warranty after the home was built. The service was lacking, the technicians were unskilled, and the time it took to get anything done was ridiculous. For example, we had laminate edging peeling up from a cabinet, the technicians fix was putting a piece of scotch tape on it - a real professional?! This is what we waited 3 months for. And this was one of the small issues. Maybe our expectations were too high. We sold the place before all the issued had been addressed, and kept in touch with the new owners until they were completed...it took almost 10 months.

    had house built

15 years ago I had a home built for me by cardel homes, we had some first time home builder problems as the wrong counter tops were installed, incorrect paint color and wrong colored toilets. But when it was all done cardel did come forward and fix all the problems and gave me and my family a great home we enloyed for many years after.

    home built

It has been almost one year since our house has been completed and we still have issues. I think Cardel is a good builder I just think they should hire more qualified warranty people. They always like to take the cheap routine if they take one.
