Just Deck It's two man crew worked long days over a period of two and one-half weeks in December to tear down an enormous old deck that took up half of the back yard of our Toronto house and to build a new one from scratch. The demolition was a huge task because of the broken-up concrete discovered under the old deck. They gave me a fair price for removal (not part of the original cost, even showing me receipts from the dump). They didn't do anything half way--everything old was taken away and they started from clean dirt. The new deck design was exactly what we wanted. Ryan presented a terrific plan based on our preliminary conversation, helped us decide which materials were appropriate for our needs, gave us an estimate, and built it exactly as promised. They used good materials and the craftsmanship was excellent. It's wonderfully solid--it even survived the ice storm! I liked, too, how they were willing to work with us to keep costs reasonable. At the end of the job, the clean-up was impeccable. They left nothing behind--not a scrap.Through the whole process, they inspired complete confidence. They showed up on time, at the same time, every day, even in very cold weather, and they were always polite. I'm planning to hire Just Deck It for another job in the spring.
