We really enjoyed the staff at Encore Painting. Polite, courteous and very receptive to pointers and my concerns. The job was done quickly and continuously and were happy with the colour and finish. Our screwdriver did go missing but was quickly found and returned. Thanks Jon and looking forward to working with you again.

We bought a condo that had been previously used as a rental unit for several years, needless to say there was more then just painting that needed to be done. The amount of prep that was done was astonishing and the attention to detail to make sure that all holes and cracks were filled was impressive. Then the paint went on, i've kept the before pictures on our coffee table because i enjoy showing friends what a disaster the unit looked like before Jon and his painters helped transform it into a livable space. Thanks Encore and i will be mentioning you to anyone who needs a reliable and professional painting company. All the best

Jon really knows his stuff, reliable and trustworthy they were a real pleasure to work with. They did our whole house in just a couple of days. The only way we were sure they came was because our home smelled of fresh new paint....and of course the different color on the walls!

As designers, we are very picky about painting. Getting the colours right and all the edges "neat" on a room is really important to us. It's a challenge to find a painting company that can deliver quality, service and price. I'm delighted to say that Encore delivers on all three. Over the past four months we've had Encore Painting at our home to do various painting projects for us. They've repainted two bedrooms, our hallways, new baseboards, new doors, and our newly renovated den. All the rooms look great, and their attention to detail is superb. What I also appreciate about Encore is that they hire "nice" people. We've put them to the test on this because we've had them back many times, and have had different painters. Each time, I've come away thinking that Jon (the founder) hires great people who know how to paint. It's always an imposition to have people working in your home, but with Encore staff, their courteousness and thoughtfulness really stand out -- it's a pleasure to have them around. I recommend them highly. (Leah, our Supervisor was terrific.)

I got a few quotes that were all in the same ballpark, i went with Jon on a gut feeling and I'm very pleased with the results.Work was done quickly and efficiently. Best of all they left all the equipment neatly tucked away at the end of each day so i wouldn't be disturbed. Overall great experience and will recommend to friends.

I could write a book. But I'll leave it at this; the painter dumped a bucket of paint on our new (3 day old) brown leather couch and tried to wipe it up without notifying us. We had to have it professionally re-stained. To this day I find new paint specks on it every time I sit on it. The walls weren't prepped properly and had to be re-done. They went through a number of painters, the last who was supposed to be the best, got paint on an adjacent wall. His solution was to paint a 6 inch wide strip on the adjacent wall, thinking we wouldn't notice! Two small magnetic boards were left on the wall and painted around! We were so angry but really had to laugh at the stupidity of the workmanship, if that's what it can be called. We agreed to pay a discounted fee, covering materials and the rooms that didn't have screw-ups (only one of three). The owner is young and every time I called him, he was either visiting Florida or skiing in Quebec. Must be nice!

Jon came on-time, was courteous and appeared to understand what we required in our straightforward kitchen repainting job; the quote was satisfactory and I explained our deadline (4 weeks hence). The work itself was very disappointing. After hearing nothing for awhile, we reminded Encore of the deadline. Shane the painter came midday, but the materials had not been delivered, and once they arrived, did not appear to include appropriate plaster compound, or primer - ?!. Painter forgot to install sheeting to minimize dust distroibution around the house, even though it was specified on the work order. I pushed on this, and he agreed finally to tack upo some garbage bags here and there. Seriously? This is a professional painting company and that's the best they can do? I called Production Manager and eventually other material was provided. Good thing I'd taken care of covering items in the kitchen itself; who knows if they'd have done anything to protect them. Painter missed parts of the baseboard entirely, and did a terrible job of filling and sanding the window sill. Prod'n Mgr came eventually to paint the baseboard, but claimed she couldn't do anything about the window sill. (Seems do-able enough to me - guess who's sanding and repainting it now?) The company lost the item I'd provided as a colour sample, even though I'd made a point twice that I required it to be returned (and would be happy to obtain a colour swatch if they couldn't work with or return the item); Prod Mgr says lamely 'oh the painter has it' and clearly isn't going to make any effort to get it back or replace it. (So for heaven's sake, don't give them anything valuable or irreplaceable.) All in all, the whole operation feels very "rookie" - have to wonder how long they've actually been in business (or how much longer, for that matter.) Started out well w/ estimate visit, but Encore sure didn't meet pretty basic expectations here. Have recommended against using these folks to 2 neighbours who are having work done; there are better teams available.

Clean cuts lines are so important to me and I was not disappointed. the overall cleanliness of the job was fantastic and the crew of painters were enjoyable to work with. this was my first time using encore painting and i will use again for my outside projects.
