    Piano Appraisal

James did an appraisal of a Kawai GE20 which we were interested in purchasing. I hired him because his web site explained clearly what used piano defects to avoid, and included example pictures. It is easy to get hold of him by email to quickly pin down a time. He was punctual. As he examined the piano, he pointed out the dehumidifier gel the owner put in the piano in the summer helped the piano to stay in tune, and under what condition in the winter, the gel is not needed. He showed us how to check if the piano is in tune or not, and pointed out we can use smartphone piano tuning apps to check if we look at other used pianos at other stores. As he checked for sticky keys, he quickly explained what was the expected hammer response for each test. We learned a lot about piano care and used piano testing through his explanations. I forwarded his name to a friend who is interested in purchasing a piano for her son.

    Piano Move

We moved pre owned upright piano, that we've purchased for our kids from Mississauga to Toronto. PianoInside were most flexible with the times, in sense of closest availability, accurate time window and convenience for both us and the piano previous owner. Their online questioner was mostly effective to receive most accurate and competitive quote. The process itself was quick, efficient and accommodating. The movers were very extremely careful friendly and polite. Highly recommended!

    Moving my new baby

I am a very picky piano owner. I have to feel 100% confident in my mover. I can say that I have found that mover. Jim was quick, efficient and accommodating. The movers were very careful and polite. I am sure that my piano was not the most difficult move but it is my piano and they treated it like it was a concert grand. I would highly recommend.

    Excellent Service!

James is easy to reach via email and prompt with his replies. My sister used them to move her grand piano and they were so punctual and professional that I decided to use them for my move as well. Their price is reasonable and they offered great service. It was not an easy move as there were seven steps from my driveway to the front of the house. I filled out the application to James and explained to him the number of steps at both the moving out and moving in location. There was an extra charge (quite reasonable!) because of the steps. It was also easy to reach James to tune the piano after the move. I will be using Piano Inside for all future moving and tuning needs. I highly recommend moving pianos with this company!

    Piano Tunning

Service was professional and timely, James was punctual and knew what he was doing. He answered all of my questions and explained the necessity (and rationality) of tuning frequently. I hadn't gotten my piano tuned in years, but after searching HomeStars and finding PianoInside - I am pleased to say that it sounds better than ever! Thanks James!

    Piano move

After extensive research and I am very pleased with my decision to hire PianoInside to move my piano. We agreed to have the piano moved on the 7th of Oct 11-11.30 and I told James that I would meet him at the sellers house. James showed up with 2 other person at 11.40 and I was really impressed that he had the piano loaded up in his truck within 10 minutes and had the whole job done within 45 minutes. I have also decided to call him to have the piano tuned as from the very limited conversation that I had with James, it gave me a very good impression that he knew a lot about pianos. I hope he doesnt disappoint me. Will write another review after I have my piano tuned by James. For anyone looking to have their piano moved, I would definitely recommend PianoInside as their rates are reasonable and also they are very meticulous with what they do. Update: Had James do the tuning for my piano and am very satisfied with the work that he did. Will definitely call him back to tune the piano again. Keep up the good work James.

    Upright Piano Move

James has the worst customer service front. He yelled at me for not telling him that there was 4 feet of gravel during the move. I'm not sure what that would have changed because I was prepared to pay him an extra $50 on the spot. (Did he need an extra mover? More equipment? I don't think so.) But nevertheless, he felt the need to yell at me instead of being polite about it. I would not use him again when I move in a year.

    Answer from pro:

Dear client. that gravel was at least 20 feet. I would call it 4 feet if your house has only 8 feet depth. The extra 50$ charge was applied because you had failed to complete my application properly. even that was pretty lowered price comparing to all other companies. only until after you checked my "Written Instruction" related with the gravel. (Which was clearly shown while you were writing the form before hiring me) you agreed to pay extra $50. Be honest please. My voice went higher because of your " leave it there and leave or return it to the pick up place" attitude when I mentioned about the gravel extra charge. Whoever you hire next time, don't treat them like us. Expecially when you didnt give us critical information directly.related with the price. Regards,

    Excellent Service!

James did a great job for us. He showed up on time and turned our honky-tonk sounding yamaha into a bosendorfer (well not quite). Gave us some great tips on humidity and kim chi. Very pleasant.

    Answer from pro:

haha. actually me and my wife gonna make massive kim chi today. this is the season called "kim chang" before winter we make kimchi for next year. its as big as bath tub. thanks for review. see you next time sir.

    Piano move

Piano inside was on time and efficient with the move. We were satisfied with the service. They were also cheaper than other companies that we checked with. Will use them again if we need moving help in the future.
