Daimon saved us! The Friday before the torrential downpour in Burlington ( on August 4, 2014) Daimon and his crew did a grading job for us. Water would come into our basement anytime there was a heavy downpour. Thanks to their grading away from the house we did not experience flooding like many in our area . We used Ashlar Landscaping a few years ago when we had our walkway done. We were so impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism that we have recommended them to a few of our friends. Thanks again Daimon!

I asked Daimon at Ashlar to come over and quote me on two seating walls to make my boring patio stand out, and to put in edging that was neglected by the previous company that did my patio. He came in and gave me some great options and advice, and left me a very professional and formal estimate. It was clear that he was very knowledgeable and had lots of ideas, while also listening to what I was trying to achieve. His crew (Matt and Tom) came in and worked methodically and diligently. They listened to all of my concerns, and answered all of my questions. They did a fantastic job on the seating walls. I am really pleased with the end result. They also did a nice job on the edging. Daimon came out a few days later to make sure I was happy with the end result and to go over any issues. There was nothing to point out, other than to thank Ashlar again for doing a fantastic job. I am very happy with my seating walls!

Daimon and his crew were professionals from the get go. Project was done on time and on budget. Turned out just great. We had a little settling due to the severe rain and Daimon returned promptly to make it right. Daimon helped with choices of product and design.We will certainly pick Ashlar for any other landscaping work.My wife and I would highly recommend Ashlar for your landscaping project.

Ashlar Landscapes transformed our house from an ordinary house to an amazing house in just a couple of weeks. Like everyone else I had no idea which company to pick. I met with a few other companies who were rated highly from HomeStars prior to meeting with Daimon. Upon meeting with Daimon I knew right then he was the right one for us. His knowledge and his down to earth and honest disposition was the deciding factor. Now that our amazing transformation is done, I can truly say that every positive comment I read on HomeStars about Ashlar Landscapes is true. Being home everyday I was able to see how hard Daimon and his crew worked and how thorough they were. His crew who worked on the hardscaping and the softscraping were very professional and experienced. They answered any questions I had. Daimon met with me often to explain what was going to be done next and to ensure it was in line with what I wanted. Daimon also recommended where savings could be had which I really appreciated. From picking out rocks with character to going to different nurseries to find the right tree, he really went above and beyond. What is the most appreciated though is that Daimon is not just another person who wants to grow his company as large as he can, he's a person who loves what he does, cares about his customers and works hard to ensure he he delivers what the customers want at the best quality. I absolutely love the way my house now looks and am grateful I picked the right company to do it. I have no doubt Ashlar Landscapes has a great future ahead of them!

We received estimates from numerous companies on homestars; Daimon provided the most detailed and well thought out project plan that considered issues and items that his competitors did not mention or seem to care about. This level of quality and professionalism was consistent throughout from start to finish of the job. His crew, headed up by James, was considerate of our needs, finished the job quickly and were careful to minimize the effect of the work on the surrounding area. It was not an easy job either, they had to remove a mess of scrubs/trees/rocks/stones/etc and then put together a beautiful patio for us. We could not be happier with our new patio or with the overall experience working with Daimon.

I can say many great things about Ashlar crew. Professional, detail oriented, etc. Anyone can get the quality of work they do from other reviews. I take that for granted. What was super impressive to me was the fact that they really stand behind their work. I had the patio work done last year in May. Over the course of the last winter, some of the stones moved. I called Daimon and explained what happened. He sent his crew a week later and fixed it, no questions asked. No one blamed harsh winter or dozens of other reasons that caused them to move. Just came in and made it right. If only all other business worked like that...

I would highly recommend Daimon and his crew (Matt and Tom). The work was 100%. Daimon came out and explained what they would do and gave us some advice on the design. The crew worked hard and we are so pleased with the results. The patio was completed in 3 days and that was with some rain. Thank you so much.

Daimon and his crew at Ashlar completely re-did the front and back yards of our downtown Toronto house: stone path and garden beds in the front, patio, path and car port in the back. They did great work. Everyone clearly takes pride in their work. Daimon was honest, fair and reasonable with costs and was always careful to make sure that we were working within our budget while also working towards the best result possible. Our outdoor space is 100% better. We would recommend Ashlar to anyone.

I highly recommend Ashlar Landscaping. We had a backyard for 7 years with no grass – there is a big tree, so finally decided to put all stones instead. Also wanted to renew our front walkway and garden bed. After talking to few other contractors, it was an easy decision to pick Ashlar Landscaping and the result is outstanding. There is no easy project, but Daimon is not talking about problems. He is providing solutions and does job well. Daimon is honest and extremely professional, same as his crew. I placed the pictures before/after, so you can see and make your decision. If I have another project - without thinking a second I would call Daimon and work with him again. I absolutely recommend Ashlar Landscapes to anyone who needs to work to be done to their property. I chose Ashlar because of all the positive reviews on Homestars, including how nice and diligent Daimon was, and the fact that they could do everything we wanted done. We wanted to have the following work performed: - New sod put down in the backyard and have the land even out (re-graded), - Interlocking brick to be laid down as a walkway along the side of the house, installed new steps to the side entrance of the house, plus laid down an interlocking brick BBQ area in the backyard - Decorative River rock to be put down along the edges - Several tree rings and planting areas to be created Most other companies would not do any type planting, and since we only wanted to deal with one company, the fact the Ashlar did everything really appealed to us. He was very knowledgeable about the best types of plants for certain areas, and was a great help in picking the plants we wanted. All of the positive reviews about Daimon and his crew are very well deserved. Everybody was extremely professional, very nice, and they were really receptive to any of our comments. Daimon laid out the costs clearly before any work was done, and he did not require a deposit before the work started. He made sure we were kept up to date with how the work was tracking, and answered all of our questions throughout the entire process. We have had many complements from our neighbours and several people have asked for his number since they wanted to call Daimon for work they need done. The work was done in a timely manner, and he made sure that we were 100% happy with the work that was performed. These pictures really don’t do the work justice; the area before all the landscaping was an atrocious wreck! These pictures were also taken right after the planting was done, so eventually when the plants go into full bloom, they will be much bigger, and quite beautiful.
