I called John in the afternoon and by later in the evening he had come round and provided an estimate for the whole job - a substantial renovation of a house including c.45 potlights, new kitchen appliances and outlets, external lighting and outlets, data cabling and two new bathrooms (incl main lighting, vanity/ sconces and towel heaters). John worked extremely well with my main contractor and coordinated his work around the other work going on in the renovation. We talked through any modifications required and always arrived at a sensible outcome - extras to the original spec were always agreed in advance and costs were transparent (and low in any case.) John had a good relationship with the inspector, was present for visits and it was all signed off with no problems. I would not hesitate to call John again or recommend him to others looking for a skilled, conscientious electrician.

We had an older electrical panel and had some power issues. Found John Babus on this site. Once we placed the call to him he was here the following morning. He gave us an estimate that was fair and made arrangements to complete the job. On the day of the job he was here promptly at time specificed and also had hydro there as well to turn off power. He completed the job in a timely manner. We found working with him a pleasure as he was very nice and helpful. We would not hesitate to use him again in the future, and highly recommend him for any electrical jobs

I contacted John Babus because of his outstanding reviews on HomeStars. He lived up to the hype. We are redoing our kitchen and need rewiring done to install an over the range microwave, new outlets, removal of old electrical lines and under the cupboard lighting. John responded to us quickly, was able to give a quote over the phone and showed up as promised. This was important because of the 'order of operations' in our reno. The work was done well, on time and on budget. And a few weeks later, when I encountered an issue with changing some other plugs in my home, John talked me through it over the phone (for free!), saving me a house call and the associated cost. John is a professional whom I would happily recommend to anyone!

John came and fixed a couple of electrical problems in our new home right away. He was timely, professional and extremely knowledgable. He was also a pleasure to deal with and charged a fair price for his expertise. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Thank you John.

I was very happy with the work John did. He has actually done work for us a couple times. During his first visit, we asked him to quote us on the panel upgrade and GFCI outlet installation. We also asked him to install an outlet in our garage. He responded quickly with an estimate. His price was fair and he was quick to make an appointment with the hydro company in order to facilitate the panel change. I also asked him about future electrical work and he gave some suggestions and advice. I will definitely call John again if needed.

I'm a General Renovator. I have used Babus Electric for many of my projects, big and small. John is always on time and where I need him. He gets the job done neatly and efficiently. I have worked with many other trades but John is by far my favourite electrician. Thanks John.

We hired Babus for several electrical jobs including removing old knob wiring from our garage, installing an exterior light as well as an outlet, and concealing electrical wiring behind our living room walls. In our opinion, John is very hardworking, knowledgeable, delivers high quality work and has reasonable pricing. His problem solving skills are also very strong; for example, he had encountered hiccups re-connecting wiring being concealed behind our main floor living room wall; it seemed like it couldn't be done but John figured the best way was to drill down to the basement and connect there. On top of that, John had finished all these jobs in one day despite a 1.5 day budget. We will be using Babus again and would recommend him to others for electrical work.

I had John install some pot lights, change my main panel from fuses to circuit breakers, install some light fixtures and receptacles for a major renovations that I am doing in a 60 year old house that I just purchased. While other electricians would not return a simple phone call to set up a meeting, John did so within hours. We met and discussed the project. John came several times to my home to do phases of the project as the construction progressed. He was always very polite and on time and was very good about answering my questions on the work being done and even work that was outside of the scope of work that he had been hired for. In the end, I was very pleased with his work and he came in under budget. I will be using John as my “go to” electrician for any additional projects around my home.

I called Babus Electric and got through right away. After I explain the work I needed done, an appointment was made for the next day. John did review with me what needed to be done, went right away to work and fixed everything - he had all the parts needed with him, which was a good time saver. I had three areas of my house where the lights would not turn on. Now all has been fixed, to my entire satisfaction. John was very polite and nice, which is a plus. I would not hesitate to contact him again if I run into any other electrical problem.
