Fence replacement and new front walkway
Excellent service from beginning to end. Even after the project was completed, they stopped by to ensure we were happy with the work. Literally finished the work in 2 full days.

Repeat Customer
I have hired Burloak many times in the past and have always been excited to see their work completed. The biggest project they did still looks great three years later, they have even come back once to make sure everything was in order. Lou'ay and his team are hard workers, trustworthy, and demonstrate attention to detail. I am very picky in regards to projects around the home, I trust Burloak will get it done right. No corners cut.

Driveway expansion, walkway and front porch
A huge thank-you to Mark, Louay and his whole crew!! We couldn't be any happier with the fabulous work. These guys are hard working, they are fast and clean. They exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend Burl-Oak Landscaping to everyone I know. Thanks again guys!!!!

Interlocking Patios - Highly Recommend
We hired Mark and Lou'ay to complete interlocking patios with side walkways for 3 properties and they did a fantastic job. The jobs were completed quickly, very clean and great workmanship (grading was considered and polymeric sand was used). They were very responsive, listened and addressed any concerns we had promptly. Given we were expecting a baby about the same time the work was set to begin, Lou'ay and Mark were very accommodating working around our schedule and were very understanding. I would highly recommend Mark and Lou'ay and we will be using them again down the road. Lou'ay and his team did a fantastic job converting our relatively large driveway from a gravel finish to a combination of asphalt and pavers. The bricks were laid in a herring bone pattern and the final look was exactly what we were hoping for. Lou'ay and his team were outstanding, very professional and hard working. He also brought in a team to sod the back yard which we were going to have done separately. Mark was also excellent in responding promptly when we were initially looking for companies to quote on the job, and in making sure that we were comfortable with the design and costs. He also responded promptly when we needed to make a few changes to the design. I would recommend Burl-Oak Landscaping to anyone looking for a quality job.

Landscaping
We hired Ziad at Burl-Oak to redo our flower beds and sod our entire lawn. The work was completed in Sept. and it looked great. In the spring however, all most half of the perennials they planted had died and the grass was full of weeds and crab grass. The plants are guaranteed in the contract, so I contacted Burl-Oak and asked them to come and replace the dead plants and look at the sod. It has been nearly 2 months, and we have not been able to get them to come - despite making numerous appointments (and staying home waiting for them) which they never show up to. It has also become clear that they didn't clean out the old plants that were in the flower beds when they re-did them - I ended up having to dig up lots of old bulbs and plants myself as they were choking out the new ones. Overall I am very disappointed in the work and the service and would not recommend this company. In addition - though Burl Oak Landscaping claims to have no association with Ziad (brother to the owner). I only contacted Burl Oak Landscaping, and it was Ziad they sent. The contract I signed has Burl Oak Landscaping on the top, and when contacted Lo'ay via email this spring about lawn maintenance (it was very early and we hadn't realized the poor product and service yet), it was Ziad's contact information and name they sent me.

Hello Heather I understand that I may be related to Ziad, but I am also related to two other contractors who show up here on homestars for the same services. I repeat I am sorry you had a bad experience, but my company did not do the job, and this is not a kind of work we do. As you can see from all our previous comments we take great pride in our customer service. Do you feel this is fair to us as a company to be blamed for something we did not do? I am sorry you have a bad experience but you really should take it up with Ziad at Burl-Oak Lawn Maintenance and snow removal, as there is nothing we can do about this from our end. I do not have an address and in the unlikely event i know whats going on, this kind of work is not something we do. We are Hardscape contractors and build driveways and patios. We do not do plantings and sod.

backyard construction / landscaping
I would highly recommend Burloak Landscaping. Was impressed with the knowledge and recommendations provided from beginning to the final product. Workers worked diligently and ensured the job was to my satisfaction. The job site was left clean each time crew left during construction phase and a final clean on completion of work. I have enjoyed my new backyard for 2 weeks now and am thrilled with it.

Driveway
Richard and his crew did an excellent job I've had them 4 Other times and the work is always the same very well ,we have always recommended them . Our driveway was done back in late 80 s and it was still standing up.cleaning up after the job you will be pleased. Wonderful wonderful wonderful job.

Paving Driveway

Interlocking Front Entrance & Side of House
Lou'ay and his team were prompt and professional - and the results show. Mark was a pleasure to deal with in getting the estimate and initial design set up. Burl-Oak brought the manpower and heavy equipment to get the job done quickly and efficiently without cutting corners... and cleaned up/fixed up after everything was done. Very happy with how things ended up looking - exactly what we were hoping for and more. Would recommend anytime and would use again.

Backyard Interlock
Lou'ay and team did an outstanding job with my backyard project! We were looking to create a courtyard area for a small table / bbq etc - we didn't anticipate it would turn out so beautifully! It's a small yard but he was able to maximize every square inch and turn a previously unusable space into a relaxing courtyard where we can host family and friends. The work was completed quickly and looks / functions perfectly. Most importantly, just as we were about to start, we had a family emergency that really threw our schedule for a loop but Lou'ay was so flexible, fair and respectful - I can't say enough about how easy he is to work with. Despite my chaotic schedule, they still completed the project very on time. We are so very appreciative and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Burl Oak to anyone! Thank you and we'll see you again this spring!
