My cables rusted out and broke. I called on Friday booked an appointment for Monday morning. Kurtis called before coming and arrived on time. Immediately assessed the problem and explained what he was going to do. He replaced both cables and had it back in operating state in less than 15 minutes. Explained the possible cause, reviewed some preventative measures, offered me excellent advice and explained what to expect if I ever had major issue. Recommend some quality doors that would meet my needs based on the type of use, car storage etc.

Had our 13 yr old door opener replaced. Mike was on time (early to be exact) and friendly. He worked quickly and had the job done in no time. We also had our garage door weather stripping replaced. The door opener works great and is super quiet. Highly Recommended!!

I just had the torsion springs replaced on my garage door and was thoroughly impressed by the Door Doctor. This is only the second time I've ever been moved to write a review and they deserve it. We had a slight problem in the process but they went above and beyond to resolve it quickly even though I'm just one small customer and in the end they likely made no money off of me. They made it clear though they were more concerned about customer satisfaction than making a profit. That is a very rare trait these days in he service industry. When you find a company like that you want to stay with them. I'd recommend them to anyone. Read on for more details. On the Saturday of a long weekend one of my garage door torsion springs broke. I submitted an online request to 4 companies for a quote. Peter, the GM for the Door Doctor in Ottawa, was the first to reply and did so within hours. He scheduled a service call for the following Tuesday afternoon. I waited for the technician but he never showed up. I sent a message to Peter as I was upset. He immediately took ownership of the error and acted quickly to make it right rather than make excuses. He booked another service call for the following day and also deducted a substantial amount from the price quote. The technician showed up as scheduled. He was very polite and replaced both springs in under 30 minutes. The other companies all suggested it would take about 2 hours at $85/hr. Plus, he lubricated all of my hinges and rollers. I was amazed by his skills and abilities. Great service!

We had a new garage door installed and were very happy with the work done and the technician who did the work. There was no mess, the job was done on time and we have enjoyed using the door with ease ever since. I would gladly recommend Door Doctor to anyone else.

We've used the Door Doctor for years. Happened across them, and the service has always been top notch. On one previous occasion, the work hadn't quite been done properly. When we had them back, the installer asked some questions, found out they had been there before, and didn't charge for the service. Only for the part. This was the one time (out of about 6 or 7 different requirements in different homes) things were not 100% and they made good. The most recent call involved a seemingly dead opener that magically started working again when the service arrived. What we got was a reasonable explanation (it's old equipment), descriptions of a variety of alternatives to be done should it happen again, and we were incredibly pleased. Talented, conscientious, and reasonably priced service. And he arrived on time. Oh, and I was able to book an appointment within 24 hours of my call (we weren't an emergency).

Called them based on their reviews here after I drove into my garage door bending one if the panels. Service truck came out to fix it ( I could of bent it back myself I really just wanted a quote on the new panel) and got it to operate and they took down the info from the door to get me a price on the new panel. Said they would contact me the next day with a price but nobody ever called so after a week I called them. I said to them Ip had been overlooked and nobody had bothered to get back to me. The gentlemen put me on hold and said he couldn't find my paperwork but would call me back in a few minutes. A week later still no call. They overlooked me twice I won't give them a third shot.

I had used Door Doctor many times when I was a professional mechanic and have always been impressed with their commercial service. I had a new garage door installed by a friend, but he made a lot of mistakes and the door did not work properly. I called Door Doctor and they sent Kurtis to inspect and give an estimate. Two days later Allen the installer showed up on time and had to disassemble the complete installation, and redo it. He also installed a new opener that I had bought. All this was done very quickly and at a reasonable cost. Allen and Kurtis are at the top of their game. Very professional. I would have no problem recommending them or Door Doctor.

Door opener worked intermittently. Kurtis from Door Doctor in Ottawa responded. He had excellent trouble shooting skills and great recommendations. They are a company who obviously pride themselves on customer service. I would recommend Door Doctor to anyone.

I used this company when my garage door spring broke. They were quick to come and punctual. The service was good. They recommended me to use 2 springs instead of one to reduce future breakdowns. So far, the garage door works fine.

Door Doctor had by far the best pricing on Garaga Doors in late 2013. I went for the insulated door with sheeting on the inside as well are outside (filled polystyrene I think) with their special locking system between panels. The choice to get an insulated door was not due to the insulation factor (my garage is not insulated), this level of door came with the nice lower gauge hardware and the panels themselves are more rigid. The Bellevue windows are double pane (crazy!) and XL panels are beautiful. The quotes were quick through e-mail and the install was done while I was at work and well done. Now "Ice White" Garaga doors look baby blue (in certain lighting/contrast), like the new vinyl windows companies are making these days...be warned! Behr white paint does not match at all! It'd day the white is like the difference between "soft white" and "cool white" CFLs and its the cool one. Still have to find a solution to this...flash around the door frames?
