    furnace & air conditioner install

    The new furnace is working so much better than expected, extremely quiet and the whole house stays at much more even temperature. Mike and John did a great job with the install and rearranging the duct work. Very pleased with the whole job, can’t what to try out the air conditioner this summer.

    New furnace and tankless water heater

    March 24, 2016 Hi Sandip, Thank you for a very pleasurable purchase experience for our new furnace and tankless water heater system. As you know we were concerned about our aging furnace. We found you very informative and honest. We feel you found the right furnace for our needs and even discouraged us from choosing something more expensive that we did not require. The installation was impressive. Mike spent a lot of time educating us on the product and answering our questions. The installers used runners throughout the house. They left the house clean and no one would have known we had a furnace and water heater replaced. It was seamless and painless. Thank you for following up to make sure we were happy with the products and service. As you promised, the furnace is very quiet and brings the house up to temperature more efficiently. We are impressed with the operation of the tankless water heater and are looking forward to the energy savings. Thanks for a great experience, Janice and Colin

    Tankless Hot Water Unit

    We purchased a few items from Furnace King and have been extremely pleased with the installation and service. We had a few items that needed to be addressed after the installation and the response time was undeniably the quickest we have ever encountered. Top notch and very professional! We are loving the new tankless hot water unit.

    Emergency Service Call

    My furnace had been shutting down on-and-off for about 24h leading up to the call. It was a very cold day and my original furnace installer was not immediately available, so I called FurnaceKing. At the time the technician arrived, the furnace had been working properly for a couple of hours and the house was warm. He indicated that since the furnace was working, there was not much for him to do. And that was that... $200, please! The technician was at my home no longer than 15 minutes. He checked the furnace filter and recommended I change it (I agree, it was too dirty). He also looked at my intake / exhaust piping and said they needed changes (but did not actually confirm that was actually related to my current problem). In general, he did not run any kind of test to definitively prove the root cause. When he left, I still had no idea what was actually causing the furnace to shutdown, and more importantly, was it going to turn off again and leave me in the cold. To summarize. For $200, I got: • 15 minute service call • a recommendation to replace the filter (but no test to show this actually caused the problem; delta T measurement, etc.) • a recommendation to change exhaust pipe slope (but no test to show this actually caused the problem; no demonstrated water shorting, etc.) • a recommendation to move exhaust outlet further from intake inlet (but nothing to show this was actually causing the snow build up or was in any way related to current problems) The technician was very friendly, so this is nothing personal against him. And customer service did reach out to listen to my concerns and offer me a service credit for future work, so that deserves some acknowledgement too. But overall, I still feel I did not get especially good value for this service call.

    Hi Roberto. I'm sorry to hear you feel you didn't get a good value for your money. I do understand your frustration, but when our technician arrived your furnace was fully operational and there was no problem for him to diagnose. The $199 you paid is our service call rate for weekend/holiday service to have a technician drive out to your home to repair your furnace. He did arrive within 2 hours of your call on the Sunday of the Family Day long weekend. The reason your furnace failed was because snow had blocked your intake/exhaust, but you had cleared it already by the time he arrived. He checked your furnace, but saw no reason to be concerned it would fail again. The other issues he pointed out had nothing to do with why your furnace failed, but were just some things he noticed during his inspection. If the furnace did fail again, or in the case of an intermittent problem, we would obviously come back out to fix the issue since it was not possible to diagnose on the first visit. Performing tests such as Delta T measurements are part of having your furnace maintained/tuned up, and are not part of the diagnostic procedure. This is why we offered you a credit towards a furnace maintenance since you seemed to want a detailed analysis on the condition of your furnace. These maintenance and tune up appointments are scheduled ahead of time to allow the technician to take the required time to perform all the tests and tune up procedures. Weekend and holiday service is reserved for emergency service calls. If your furnace was not operational our technician would have stayed at your home as long as it takes to give you and your family heat. It simply wouldn't be fair to other customers who are waiting without heat if he remained at your home to perform non emergency maintenance tasks while they are waiting in the cold. As you said, we did reach out when we heard you were unhappy, and our offer still stands if you'd like to have a complete maintenance and tune up for your furnace as we would like to do our best to make you happy. If there is anything we can do to make you happy in this matter, please do call us and let us know. We will do all we can, within reason, to make you feel satisfied with our company.     Professional and Quality Service

    I wanted to wait until I received my new bills before I write the review because the main purpose of purchasing the new furnace is save on my gas and electricity bills. My 15 year old furnace was still working and served its purpose; it kept my house warm enough albeit inefficiently. The good: For sales and service, I'd give Furnace Kings A+ for their team. They were friendly and they answered all our concerns and questions. The price was fair for the goods and services provided. The bad: My bills actually increased! I was told my old furnace was about 60%-70% efficient. The new furnace, Trane VX, is 95% efficient. I was expecting to see those results in my bills. To my surprise both my gas and electricity bills increased! I compared the bills from Dec-Jan (old furnace) to Feb-Mar (new furnace). Yes, even factoring in the new changes to Ontario energy credits, my bill is higher from my previous bills. My nest reports longer usages as well but it could be due the nature of high-efficiency furnaces. The furnace is also louder than my old one. Every time it turns on or off, you can hear a "clang" or something. It's not frightening loud but it's a noticeable difference from what we were accustomed to. Furthermore, it's generally more louder but I suppose it's pushing more air. I have to turn up the volume on my TV because sometimes it could become overwhelming. My wife sometimes complain the house is cold. Sure, I can use the 2 year guarantee if I'm not happy but I'd still have to buy a replacement furnace because who knows what happened to my old furnace. I'm giving 6/10 stars because service is good and these guys are professionals, but also because I was sold on savings of up to 30%-40% on my bills but results proved the otherwise. Buyer's remorse is never a good thing.

I am having our office contact you to have a technician out and see about the noises from the furnace, and to see if there are any issues that need to be addressed since your wife is not finding the home warm enough. With regards to your gas consumption, you are looking at much too small of a time frame to get an accurate comparison with your old furnace. This has been an unusually mild winter, and while the month of February 2016 was warmer than usual, it did have more extremely cold days than either January or December. This means your furnace would have needed to work harder in the month of February compared to the previous 2 months, and I can guarantee that if your old furnace was still being used, your bill would have been higher in February. Generally we compare gas usage year over year to get an accurate picture of the difference in efficiency between furnaces. Again I want to reassure you that we are here to resolve any issues and are only a phone call away. I don't see any record of you calling us with regards to the issue you have brought up here, but as I said earlier our service department will call you today to arrange for a technician to come out and address your issues. I am glad to hear you were happy with the level of service you received, and I look forward to the opportunity to show you how committed we are to making sure you are 100% happy with your decision to work with us.     Furnace cleaning and inspection

    Brian, the technician, has an expert knowledge of our equipment and was efficient and helpful. He's a credit to the firm. He kindly pointed out that I was a little negligent in replacing the filter more regularly and recommended the proper allergen eliminating filter. The correct filter was promptly acquired and installed. I look forward to Brian returning, next year, for the annual cleaning.

    Furnace and Humidifier Installation

    I was delaying getting back to you so that we could test out the new furnace and humidifier for a few days. So far it has been working flawlessly. It is quieter, smaller, better at circulating the air and the humidifier really makes a noticeable difference. I thank you, the installers, the initial repair technicians and all of Furnace King for the amazing product and customer service.

    AC Installation

    Good day Sandip Please let me say a big thank you for your guidance and straight forward approach on the cold winter's night that you visited my home. I really appreciate your presentation. I was very happy with the work completed by the installers John and Mike. They were respectful and left the place clean. Mike also took the time to explain the start up of the air conditioning system. They both returned in the Spring of 2016 to commission the system. As a bonus John showed me how to service and maintaining my by-pass humidifier. I would be happy to recommend Furnace King to my friends and colleagues. If and when I need a new furnace I will certainly be calling Furnace King.

    New Furnace and A/C

    I started shopping for a new furnace last month as the original mid-efficiency furnace at my home was 28 years old and was not in a good shape. Also, the AC was over 20 years old 8 SIERS mid efficiency. After interviewing and obtaining estimates from 2 additonal companies, I decided to go with Furnace King. I’ve had a wonderful experience with Furnace King from the first call I made to obtain the quote til after sales service . Sandip came the next day I made a call to obtain an estimate. He took his time to educate me on different types of furnace, warranties etc. Sandip gave me a great package deal for Furnace and A/C combined. I decided to go with True Amana High Efficiency Furnace and A/C. Mainly due to the 10 years parts and Labour warranty. After we signed the contract, the installers, Mike and John arrived in next few days and did a marvelous job installing Furnace and A/C. They were both very respectful and left the area cleaner then how they found it. They did an immaculate job installing the furnace and A/C. Both of them have decades of experience doing this. Few days after the Furnace install, I started noticing the dampness on my carpet and baseboards around the water drainage for the humidifier/AC. Although, it wasn’t Furnace King’s fault they sent Brian in for service who was kind enough to pin point the problem and fixed it. I’ve gone through the whole cycle of getting a quote, Purchase, Install and After Sales Service with Furnace King. I’ve never had such a pleasant experience with the big name competitor of Furnace King that I’ve dealt with for over a decade. I would not hesitate to recommend Furnace King for your Furnace and A/C needs.

    Furnace and AC installation

    Hi Sandip, I mentioned to you a week ago that we had thoroughly researched your market, and invited three companies to actually make presentations to us about their furnaces, air conditioners, and water heaters. We appreciated the time and thoroughness of your presentation Sandip . I especially appreciated your recommendation that we keep our existing quality air cleaner instead of wasting $$$ on a new unit. A competitor of yours also recommended, and quoted on us purchasing a new 5 ton, 20 Seer A/C unit. You instead gave us a detailed explanation of why a 20 Sheer unit was overkill, and recommended a new 5 ton, 16 seer, Trane A/C unit which resulted in us saving a significant amount of $$$. Sandip, you made reference throughout your presentation about the ability, and confidence you had in your installer Mike. I have heard the same "glowing reviews" of installers by various sales personnel the past couple of decades in both my personal and business life, and the majority of time the installer does not live up to the sales person hype. My experience with you company was the completely the opposite. Mike, and his team from Furnace King spent two days at my house installing our new tankless water heater, Trane modulating furnace, and 5 ton 16 Sheer A/C unit. They were fantastic !!! Mike explained each installation thoroughly, and recommended a couple of suggestions on the positioning of the actual units, and piping that made logical sense. I also asked Mike numerous questions about my new products especially pertaining to the tankless water heater which we never had previously, and he was an encyclopaedia of information. Thanks for all your help Sandip, and please pass my comments on to Mike, and his team on a job well done!
