    Eavestrough Replacement

My home needed some love and the eaves troughs were in rough shape after not being maintained by the previous owner. I was told by a friend who had a long history with RCA to call Eni and was extremely happy for the referral. The customer service was exceptional. Quoting, installation and follow up was efficient. The installers were very friendly and the end result was a high quality, professional experience from start to finish.

    Eavstrough and downspout replacement

Customer service was great upfront (before the "sale" was made) although it took us numerous calls and emails to have some work fixed that we were not initially happy with after installation. Overall work quality is good and the installer worked quickly and efficiently to get the work done within one day. After posting this review, Royal Crown Aluminum has taken additional steps to ensure we are satisfied customers and based on that I want to give them a higher rating. Aside from the communication issues we encountered, problem has been rectified, and we are pleased with them overall. Thank you to everyone there who helped, and especially Dorian.

    Soffit and Eaves

Cost a bit more than I wanted to spend, but was well worth it. Blair and his crew were great and the job was done fast and well. Only reason it's not a 10 out of 10 was they didn't show up when they were supposed to and didn't even call to apologize. I had to call them and the said sorry, we're coming tomorrow instead...

    Answer from pro:

Hi there, Thank you for the feedback and review! We do apologize that we were not out on the scheduled date. We take every bit of feedback and communicate it with our team. Thanks Royal Crown Aluminum

    Eavestrough

Squirrels were nesting in our roof and they had managed to eat through the eavestrough and the fascia board at the back of the house, my carpenter said get aluminum eavestrough they can't eat through it. Mitch who did the installation was great. He didn't even stop for a break! He worked alone. I also thought I needed new roofing but one of Royal's supervisors stopped by, he said the shingles are still good. But some of my eavestrough on the other side of the house are starting to sag and water could get into the basement. He said to keep an eye on it, we should replace next year. No hard selling, just some advice. The price of this job was fare, they gave me a quote and five days later they did the job. No more squirrels!

    Answer from pro:

Hey, Squirrels are never fun! I'm happy to hear that the problem has been resolved! It was a pleasure working with you! Thanks, Royal Crown Aluminum

    Railing

We have used Royal Crown before and we were happy to use them again. They are a pleasure to deal with. Starting from the office who is always ready to help. The installers did a great job as well. They were on time and worked diligently to finish the job. The job was done perfectly and the work site was left spotless. We will continue to work with Royal Crown and we would recommend them to everyone.

    Gutter System

My husband and I were just recently at the Fall Toronto Home Show, where we connected with Royal Crown Aluminum. We asked one of their reps. questions regarding our gutters and what they were offering in terms of price and materials as well as some technical questions. They politely asked about our phone number for their office to call us and schedule a free estimate. They told us we would receive a call by the next day and we received a call the same day, even better. Their office is organized and the lady we talked to had lots of knowledge and was polite. The next day the estimator came by our house and gave us an estimate( very good price). Two days after the installing team was there as scheduled on time and finished all our eavestroughs, fascia’s before the day was over. Their work was clean and they made sure , no debris was left behind. After the work I asked for some adjustments here and there and they were happy to please me (I’m very picky myself). The company offers long warranty for the job and stands behind their product. Three days ago I received a follow up call from their office to see if we were happy with the work. We are very happy as these guys are real professionals. It’s hard to find contractors now days to show up on time, warranty the work and pick up the phone when you have issues… We gladly referred them to our neighbors, they should been calling them soon. THANK YOU ROYAL CROWN ALUMINUM !

Eavestroughs, fascia, soffits and drip edge

We had the above work completed on our home over the summer and were originally very satisfied with the work. With the exception of a few issues, they didnot do a good job cleaning the work area at the end of each day which resulted in a screw in my tire which I had to repair. Also the eavestrough company was terrible. The guys who installed our fasic & soffit were very helpful and did there best to please us however.... I would never recommend this company to ANYONE because for the past 3 weeks I have been trying to get them to resolve and issue with our soffit(they installed perforated soffits which is meant for venting but underneath the soffit they border it up and did not drill hole in order for air flow which can reslut in ice damming, etc.)they have been giving me the run around. Not returning my call, and excuses after excuses. … I would never recommend this company and would tell everyone to stay away from them. Beware

    Eavestrough, Downspouts

We selected Royal Crown from the Toronto Spring Home Show for the complete replacement Eavestroughs and downspouts. When the project got underway we extended the contract to include installation of Leaf guards. The whole project took just under a day, the work was very professionally done, the crew was very courteous and the quote, we believe, very competitive. So far we have experienced no issues and we hope the same through the coming winter season! Good job! ******************************************************************************** While not an expert on the job, the winter season appears to have shown some issues with the installation as we have some ice and icicles built up routinely in one section of the home. Repeated calls to Royal Crown have yielded in no results, they keep promising that someone will be in touch and so far, after 4 weeks of the 1st call, someone is yet to call in. Not happy with the after sales support and I wonder I they have encountered the same issues elsewhere too. Not sure if I would still be recommending them to anyone until such time as an assessment has been made if it the installation is faulty.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you Alok for choosing Royal Crown. We are very happy to hear that you have not experienced any problems so far and we hope the same for the upcoming winter!

    Siding, 6" Eavestroughs & Facia

The work was done in Nov '11 so since then I have seen that the eavestroughs and downspout system has worked very well. The siding continues to look geat. When quoting they provided good advice (they recommended the 6" evestroughs because of our roof and designed the downspouts to distribute the water better and keep it away from the house). They arrived as promised, did a very professional job and cleaned up well afterwards.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Peter. We are very happy to hear that things are still going well with the eavestroughs and siding. Our estimators and installers are very knowledgeable and we are happy that the advise they gave has worked for you. We hope to hear from you again and that everything continues to work just as well as it is working now.

    Eaves, soffits and fascia

I engaged Royal Crown 2 years ago on the basis of good reviews from this site. I had several issues with them and am currently waiting for them to respond to a request to come back and inspect what appears to be a piece of siding that has fallen off a higher part of the roof onto a lower part (inaccessible to me but visible thr a window). The reason for getting this work done in the first place was because of squirrels etc that had chewed through the wooden fascia and had gotten into the attic. I got animal control to remove the animals and cover the hole with a piece of plywood. Royal Crown Al came and did part of the work on the first day, uncovered the hole and left it open over night and then finished the work the next day. Within about a week, it was clear that there were animals in the attic again. I had to pay animal control again to get them out and then I had to pay Royal Crown again to fix what had to be opened to get out the animals that they had let into the roof space. Part of the work was to install a leaf guard on the eaves. I really couldn't see it from the window, so I asked them to confirm by email and they did confirm it had been installed....I got a friend to come with a ladder and take a picture showing that no leaf guard had been installed. They did come back to fix this. Another annoyance was that after I had signed up with them and picked colours, I had to change my choices 2 more times due to lack of availability - so while they seem to have more choices that other companies, in reality they didn't. This past spring, a piece of what appears to be siding has fallen off a high part of the roof onto a lower part (can just see it through a window but it is inaccessible). Royal Crown Aluminum has not responded to requests to come and inspect it since the spring. I have tried again with another email about 10 days ago. Still waiting...and obviously this is something I want to get sorted out before winter. It looks like I will have to get someone else to fix their work. I am not at all pleased
