Fence, lattice work, posts
Cole rebuilt a cedar fence, under deck lattice work, and a cedar post. He also created and built corner protection to our garage. He performed well with good carpentry skills, creativity and reliability. His charges were reasonable and he provided back-up to support his invoices. We intend to use his services again.

Rebuilding front porch stairs & railings
Cole is an exemplary carpenter. He is friendly, polite, prompt, very tidy, and communicates clearly .He replaced my front porch stairs, railings and support post. He hand picked the cedar boards , he pays close attention to detail. He even re cemented the old bottom cement Step which had deteriorated.I will definitely call Cole again .

Fence
We are very pleased with how the project went. The work is of the highest quality and Cole kept us updated as the work proceeded and any issues he encountered.

Backyard fence, gate and garden bed retaining wall build
I recently called Cole at Friendly Fence to estimate replacing our old, falling down backyard fence. We chose a fence style from his website ( he's got lots of pictures of designs/styles to choose from ) and Cole built us a beautiful Fence and Gate - it looks Fantastic! We're very happy we chose Cole and impressed with his quality, workmanship and his friendly personality. He left a neat and tidy work space. I would highly recommend him.

Fence
Cole did an excellent job in delivering exactly what we wanted and the fence turned out better than our expectations. The project was completed on time and on budget and he kept a very tidy work area throughout. We would definitely use him again and highly recommend.

Amazing Company
We had a partially fenced yard and needed to have it completely fenced in for our new energetic puppy. We contacted Cole and he came out that very day to meet us and see what we wanted to have done. We were very impressed right off the bat, for his professionalism and how quickly (that same day) he got back to us with a quote. We love our new fence and the custom gate we choose is a real beauty that stands out like a statement piece. Cole is conscientious, reliable, efficient, extremely neat and organized and no mess is ever left behind. He doesn’t just buy prefab fencing – he literally builds each and every part from scratch which was very impressive. Cole really listened to what we asked for and he delivered an awesome product. I wish we would of known him when we put in the original fence years ago because the quality of his work is really outstanding. New perimeter fence
Cole came to my townhouse to give me a free estimate on the perimeter fence that was rotting and badly in need of replacement. We agreed on a price and the work started promptly two days later. Cole did an excellent job, and on time. He’s very pleasant to deal with and fair in his pricing. My neighbor was so impressed that he hired him to do his fence. I can recommend him with no hesitation.

Fence repair
I was looking for someone repairing a couple of panels of my fence and two gates to my backyard. I called a couple of companies and was told that they didn't do small repairs but only whole fences. I found Cole through his website. He came by the next day to have a look around and give me an estimate. He was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. He built all the panels from scratch since he couldn't use any pre-made ones. I'm very happy with the work he has done. He was very open to consider other jobs in my backyard and I will contact him again once I'm ready to move forward with these projects. I would recommend him to anybody who needs work done in their yards!

Gate & fence repair
I needed a gate built at the side of my house, too 'small' of a project for most, but Cole was one of the very few who was willing to take this on. His website contained many samples of custom made gates and fences so it was easy to pick out something specific that I wanted, which was very convenient and helpful. Throughout my communication with Cole, I could tell that he really knew the trade. But more impressive to me was his professional and courteous attitude, prompt follow-up, integrity, and attention to detail. He was very clear, detailed, prompt and patient in answering my questions, explaining things, providing info and the estimate, and understanding and accommodating my requests. Not only did he just complete what was agreed to, he went beyond and helped with a couple of issues in our yard that came up. I am very pleased with the overall quality and results of his work and skills, but especially appreciative of the care, attitude and behaviour he displayed from the very beginning to the end. Communicating and dealing with Cole was in every way smooth, pleasant, as advertised and backed up with action.

Beautiful Gate Beyond my expectations
I had a very good experience with Cole (AKA Friendly Carpenter), he made an astoundingly beautiful gate for us. Although it is interior to our small commercial building so it doesn't get the visibility of an outdoor installation but I never fail to get complements on it from anyone who comes into the building. I highly recommend Cole, he really delivers and exceeded my expectation which was already high. He is very thoughtful in his approach to the solving the problem and has some real skills that show in his end product. I can't say enough good things about his work. JP
